South Florida is an area where entrepreneurship is very much alive. South Florida is a new frontier; a hundred-year-old region than is constantly changing, growing and evolving as it carves out new niches through the mobility of its local and foreign entrepreneurs. The entrepreneurship manifested locally has opened new frontiers for the region and, as a consequence, for frontiers all over the world. Entrepreneurship opportunities challenge South Floridians to sink or swim in the turbulent waters of international trade and finance.The main objective in this article is to explore the contribution of entrepreneurship and other variables to the economy of South Florida. Although entrepreneurship has played in the past and continues to have at present, a very important role in the area's economy, its future position is far from being assured.

The author's research of the current state and features of the development of the world market for services in conditions of turbulence of world processes was carried; the world leaders of the service sector in the global dimension and leaders of the most dynamic articles of service categories were identified; the share of world exports of services by countries by the level of their economic development was justified; weaknesses in the assessment of indicators of international trade in services were identified; the research is based on UNCTAD statistics.

Globalization, as evidenced in increased trade, economic development, and the emergence of new global powers, has meant that the world economy has undergone significant changes over the past two decades. The World Trade Organization (WTO) is more than a potent representation of these developments, it is often seen, along with its predecessor, the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), as having enabled the process of globalization. However, there are profound concerns about what lies ahead in an increasingly complex economic and regulatory setting, in particular for developing countries (DCs).

The General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS) is one of the World Trade Organization's most important agreements. This accord is the first and only set of multilateral rules covering international trade in services. It is a framework for international trade in services and a legal basis for resolving conflicting national interests. For the past two decades, trade in services has grown faster than merchandise trade. Currently, they represent more than two thirds of the World Gross Domestic Product. As the term services covers a wide range of intangible and heterogeneous products and activities, there has been an increasing demand for detailed, relevant and internationally comparable statistical information on trade in services. In the last ten years, the share of transportation services in international trade in commercial services was steady and amounted to about one quarter.

Nowadays, craft villages in key economic zones in the South of Vietnam have played a big role in the socio-economic development of many local areas in the region. Many production types of craft villages offer work for employees. In addition, craft villages produce goods exported to the world. Although there are potentials for development and great opportunities for market expansion, craft villages in key economic zones in the South still suffer from many weak points; for example, unstable trading conditions, lack of capital, etc. This paper focuses on surveying and analyzing the real development situations in production types and trading situations in key economic zones in the South of Vietnam.

<p>Over the past few years, smartphone devices have become so powerful that in your pocket, not only do you have a device which can communicate with people across the world, the sheer power of these devices has now also brought a new frontier in scientific measurements. In this presentation, we present our smartphone app 'flowonthego', a technology which allows users to determine flow velocities, in almost real-time, from simple video footage. The instantaneous velocity fields are calculated by solving the Lucas-Kanade solutions to the optical flow equations and tracking naturally occurring features. The app also harnesses the potential of augmented reality, making calibration reference and the need tape measures a thing of the past. Furthermore, the app also packs an arsenal of post-processing tools in which users can understand basic statistics. From preliminary our studies we have found 'flowonthego' is able to match the statistics of commonly used ADCP's while also providing instantaneous full vector fields allowing users to better understand dynamical processing. </p><p><img src="https://contentmanager.copernicus.org/fileStorageProxy.php?f=gnp.9d2d602fcdff52519640161/sdaolpUECMynit/12UGE&app=m&a=0&c=2ba347a62b8a1a41850ed383c5014169&ct=x&pn=gnp.elif&d=1" alt=""></p>

Distinguishing Features

Economic activity is not only becoming more internationalized, but, more significantly, it is becoming increasingly globalized. Globalization is always regarded as the product of the liberalization that has been the hallmark of economic policy throughout the world during the past decade. It has also set in motion forces working to accelerate liberalization. One of the distinguishing features of trade at the end of the twentieth century and at the start of the new millennium has been the expansion of regional trade agreements and the multilateral agreements. The internationalization of services is at the core of today's economic globalization. Tourism has become one of the most important industries in the world, and its economic impacts are vital for many countries. It has long supported the idea of services agreements and has become a major component in the globalization of international trade, particularly with respect to services. There is no doubt that the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS) have assisted the growth of international trade in goods and services. However, the success of such instruments relies upon markets behaving in a Ricardian manner, incorporating the fluidity and transparency that form the substance of those markets.

I returned only recently from an eight-month round the-world trip which took me to large parts of Africa, some islands in the Indian Ocean, Australia and New Zealand, all of Southeast Asia, and the Far East. One can observe these parts of the world with an inexhausted curiosity, the more so if one has seen them several times in the past. While at first it is amply noticeable that many of these lands are still below the threshold of economic development, a second Or third visit also reveals hitherto unsuspected signs of social stability—acting, to be sure, as a brake on rapid progress, but also helping to maintain a kind of steadiness in people's attitudes and worldviews.

Korea has achieved rapid economic development for the past few decades, raising its economic stature from one of the most impoverished countries in the world to an advanced industrial nation. Korea will host the G20 summit meeting in November 2010. What is the reason for the rapid economic development of Korea? This paper discusses the policy measures taken by the Korean government to promote exports, analyse their contribution and problems, and provide developing countries with the implications for their economic development process under the WTO system drawn from the experience of export-led economic development of Korea.
