: A smart city should embrace the concept of sustainable growth, as it is an urgent need, and we cannot hesitate in coping with precious natural resources and plunge into crisis. To make the city run as a smart city, several things should be included in the situation. To make the city run as a smart city, several things should be included in the situation. In the long term, smart city visions that are inclusive, pluralistic, and citizen-centric, focused on developing services and resolving local challenges, would be the most effective and cost-efficient. They are most likely to avoid potential issues by strengthening both physical facilities and amenities, as well as the city’s sense of culture.

The present research has sought to identify the features and capabilities of the smart city and their status in Tehran, identifying the strengths and weaknesses of this city in comparison with the smart city. For this purpose, first, the models and foundations of the smart city and its features presented by other researchers have been studied. The result of this study was to categorize Smart City features into six categories. The field survey of the topic by descriptive-survey method showed that these characteristics are confirmed by the statistical community as the characteristics of the smart city. With the ranking of 50 effective features, in addition to identifying important features in each category, 10 characteristics were identified as the most effective characteristics. The results show that among 50 characteristics, Tehran has only a relatively good status in eight characteristics. In other words, 84% of the characteristics in Tehran are not well-suited. The existence of such a situation cannot be ruled out by the integrated management factors on the affairs of the city of Tehran; there is no long-term plan for Tehran, and the relationship between people and government and the authorities is not related to partnership and cooperation.

In general thinking, countries possessing rich natural resource deposits are blessed, as resource abundance has seemingly positive correlation with the wealth and economic development of a nation. However, experience shows that countries endowed with extreme amounts of natural resources have found themselves in a serious misuse and on a damaging growth path. Extraordinary resource possession is rather an opportunity than a guarantee for better economic performance. The term “Dutch disease” refers to a situation in which new discoveries of natural resources or sharp rises in commodity prices lead to an increase in the equilibrium real exchange rate, thus undermining the competitiveness of the other tradable sectors in the economy. As suggested in the academic literature the Dutch disease is associated ith four main symptoms: a slowdown in manufacturing output, a booming non-tradable sector, an increase in real wages and real exchange rate appreciation. Russia’s oil price dependence and the risk of the Dutch disease are often considered as the main long-term challenges to sustainable growth in the country. In this regard, it is worth studying the available economic data for evidence of these phenomena. Russia’s oil price dependence and the risk of the Dutch disease are often considered as the main long-term challenges to sustainable growth in the country. In this regard, it is worth studying the available economic data for evidence of these phenomena. The main section examines whether in Russia: exports have become more biased towards oil and gas, GDP growth has become more sensitive to oil price fluctuations, the economy is showing symptoms of the Dutch disease.

This study aimed to explore the case study of Brno city regarding smart city models. We analyzed Brno considering smart and sustainable city elements, i.e., smart mobility/public transport, smart technology, smart people, smart governance, smart economy, smart living, and smart environment based on transport, energy, and environment referred herein as the smart city and sustainability model. Therefore, we investigated a case study of Brno city in the Czech Republic. We used qualitative techniques such as case study, exploration, observation, and description. We analyzed and comprehended the trends in the various features of smart city and sustainable development of the city of Brno. The findings showed that Brno city is doing its best to maintain smart city models through its governance organs and structures. The city is also working hard to improve some of the aspects that are still lagging. The ongoing developments and the future ones are based on strategic planning for both the short term and long term such as Brno2023, Brno2030, and Brno2050. It was found that Brno has a very well-planned transport system and is integrated with other aspects such as technology, energy, such as the electricity that moves the trolleybuses and trams, and environment. We strongly conclude that even though Brno city still struggles to achieve total sustainability, it is still a model and reflection of a smart and sustainable city. Finally, we noted that Brno city has very good plans and vision the “DNA” of a smart city. However, the implementation still suffers political willingness.

The article presents a proposal for a research tool that might assess the ecological activity of municipalities, with particular emphasis on those that lie on national boundaries. With climate change, it has become necessary to take into account the principles of sustainable growth while maintaining high living standards in the long term. Systematic research on the action undertaken by municipalities in this area is a necessary requirement in the coming years. For this reason, the main directions and areas of research in the process of approaching the concept of a “green smart city” have been outlined. The available literature is limited to research in the field of smart cities and examines solutions for large urban agglomerations. The evaluation criteria of “ecological maturity” proposed in this paper are designed for small border municipalities. One may accept the thesis that due to their specificity, location, natural diversity and the opportunities for cooperation with a foreign partner that they offer, border municipalities can create a model of ecological behaviour in terms of a “green smart city”. This evolution requires support and monitoring for policymakers, and the proposed online research tool may reveal “ecological immaturities”, decisional errors or just plain negligence. One might only hope that, as a result of these indications, the recommendations will prove valuable for all local government units. On the other hand, a number of doubts and dilemmas are raised that researchers are unable to eliminate at this stage.

Increasing competition in the hospitality industry, making hotels should increase the advantage in competing. An important part of improving the competitive advantage of hotels is to set, measure and allocate accurately the costs to be efficient. Cost efficient will help managers to make decisions so as to increase the occupancy rate of hotels that ultimately impact on profit. Researchers conducted research on the Hotel "X" located in the city of Surabaya where this hotel is one of the oldest four-star hotel in the city of Surabaya. Determination of the cost as the cost of room rental at Hotel "X" is still using the traditional method of the cost of renting each room on the same "X" Hotel. The purpose of this study is to know the application of Activity Based Costing (ABC) method in the calculation of service fee and the determination of the hotel room rental price "X". The technique of data analysis performed is to analyze the traditional method that is being used by Hotel "X" and compare with ABC method. The results of this study is the calculation of the cost of room rental using ABC method is more accurate when compared with traditional methods. Hotel "X" should consider undercost in the cost of room rental so that the hotel does not suffer long-term losses resulting in earnings.

Survey questionnaires were distributed randomly to prospective respondents. Participant observation was used in an ocular visit. The study used frequency count for data analysis. Findings show that existing businesspersons perceive Mandaue City to be still a good location for setting up businesses, but the advantages the city possesses may be fast eroding. This paper concludes that maintaining investors’ confidence is as like any business relationship. The local government unit must continuingly extend excellent customer service to its customers, the business locators, to ensure continuing investment inflow.   Keywords - Local Investment Promotion, Maintenance of Investment, Local Government Unit

Drawing upon a collection of oral history interviews, this paper offers an insight into entrepreneurial and residential patterns and behaviour amongst Turkish Muslims in the German city of Bremen. The academic literature has traditionally argued that Turkish migrants in Germany have been pushed into self-employment, low-quality housing and segregated neighbourhoods as a result of discrimination, and poor employment and housing opportunities. Yet the interviews reveal the extent to which Bremen’s Turkish Muslims’ performances and experiences have overwhelmingly been the consequences of personal choices and ambitions. For many of the city’s Turkish Muslim entrepreneurs, self-employment had been a long-term objective, and they have succeeded in establishing and running their businesses in the manner they choose with regards to location and clientele, for example. Similarly, interviewees stressed the way in which they were able to shape their housing experiences by opting which districts of the city to live in and by purchasing property. On the whole, they perceive their entrepreneurial and residential practices as both consequences and mediums of success, integration and a loyalty to the city of Bremen. The findings are contextualised within the wider debate regarding the long-term legacy of Germany’s post-war guest-worker system and its position as a “country of immigration”.
