This study aimed to (1) describe principal leadership and the context of the overall school teacher culture that cultivated an award-wining team at an elementary school; (2) analyze the award-winning team’s learning behaviors, shared goals, values, beliefs, mutual interactions or dialogues, and experience sharing among members; and (3) unveil the key factors that shape excellent teaching team culture and its functions. Major findings are: 1. The award-winning teacher group at the school was able to facilitate the development of professional co-operation and teaching innovation within the school, and transform the school into a learning community. 2. The campus ethics of affiliation, collegiality, and experience-heritage was enforced at the award-wining elementary school. 3. The school leaders, especially the principal, had a critical impact on the development of school teacher culture via their determination and encouragement. 4. Both the school principal and the school’s senior teachers played an exemplary and leading role in shaping a high-quality school culture for professional development. The study concludes that the principal and the senior teachers played an exemplary and leading role in shaping a positive school culture, and that a positive school culture can enhance school effectiveness and productive power.

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) hubungan Kepemimpinan Kepala sekolah dengan keefektifan sekolah,(2) hubungan budaya sekolah dengan keefektifan sekolah (3) hubungan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan budaya sekolah dengan keefektifan sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dengan keefektifan sekolah dengan koefisien korelasi rx1y= 0.497. Sumbangan efektif yang diberikan oleh variabel kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dengan keefektifan sekolah terhadap keefektifan sekolah adalah sebesar 18.77%, (2) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara budaya sekolah dengan keefektifan sekolah dengan koefisien korelasi rx2y= 0.525. Sumbangan efektif yang diberikan oleh variabel budaya sekolah terhadap keefektifan sekolah adalah sebesar 21.96% dan (3) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan budaya sekolah dengan keefektifan sekolah dengan koefisien korelasi r = 0.638.  Kata kunci: Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, budaya sekolah, sekolah efektif.  Abstract.  Towards Effective Schools: Leadership and School Culture Contribution. The study aims at determining (1) the correlation between principal leadership and school effectiveness,  (2) the correlation between  school culture and school effectiveness (3) the correlation between principal leadership and school culture towards school effectiveness. The results of this study revealed that (1) there is a positive and significant correlation between principal peadership and school effectiveness,  with the correlation coefficient rX1Y = 0.497. The effective contribution given by the principal leadership variable with school effectiveness towards school effectiveness was 18.77%, (2) there is a positive and significant correlation between school culture and school effectiveness with the correlation coefficient rX2Y = 0.525. The effective contribution given by the school culture variables to the effectiveness of schools is 21.96% and (3) there is a positive and significant correlation between principal leadership and school culture towards school effectiveness with a correlation coefficient R = 0.638..  Keywords: marketing services, education, Islamic elementary school

This study aims at determining the contribution of school principal leadership, work motivation and school climate to the  performance of elementary school teachers at Cluster IV District of Baturiti Tabanan Bali. This research was an ex-post facto research. The population which as also treated as the sample in this study were 61 teachers. Data in this study were collected by using questionnaires. Data analysis was performed by using simple regression, multiple regression, and partial correlation. The results showed that: (1) there was a significant contribution of headmaster leadership to the performance of elementary school teachers, (2) ) there is a significant contribution of teacher's work motivation to the performance of elementary school teacher; (3) there is significant contribution of work climate on the performance of elementary school teachers, and (4) together, there  is a significant contribution of principal leadership, motivation work and work climate on the performance of elementary school teachers.

ABSTRACTThe problem of this research is about improving the quality of education output which is reflected in the achievements of the students, is the expectation of all schools starting from the principal and also teachers who teach as well as both parents, but in reality there are still many students who actually have achievements but not yet seen or even do not know the achievements in themselves, so they can and have the achievements as expected. The problem in this study is limited around the principal's leadership and teacher performance, as well as the achievement of the students themselves.The research method used in this study is a quantitative method. This research is correlational because this study seeks to investigate the effect of school principal leadership and teacher performance on student achievement.The results showed that (1) there was a positive influence between the principals' leadership variables on the achievement of students obtained the value of the analysis of 2.464 so that the positive results were concluded, the level of strong influence. (2) there is a positive influence between teacher performance on student achievement obtained value of 2.868 so that concluded positive results, the level of influence is strong. (3) simultaneously the leadership of the school principal and the performance of the teacher have a very significant effect on the achievement of students in MA NurulFurqon, Cibinong District, Bogor Regency.keywords of Education, Leadership, school, teacher, achievement

The micro strategy of school principal leadership within the implementation of character education for elementary school degree is very decisive for the successful development and empowerment of character values in the elementary school degree. With reference to the statement, the objective of the present study is to map the description that has been related to the micro strategy management of the school principal within the implementation of the character education for the elementary school degree. Thus, the design that has been adopted is the case study and the data for the case study are gathered from the primary sources, namely school principal, teachers, and students, through interview, observation, and documentation study in relation to the leadership management within the implementation of the character education for the elementary school degree. During the study, after the data had been gathered the data were analysed by using the Miles & Huberman Inductive Analysis. The results of the study show that the micro strategy of the school principal leadership in the Sekolah Dasar Negeri 07 Sintang have been focused on four aspects namely: (1) the reinforcement of literacy as the efforts of brightening the students’ life; (2) the learning intervention as the effort of improving the students’ discerning quality and characters; (3) the program of Ant Operation as the efforts of habitualizing the healthy, clean, and environmental-friendly life pattern; and (4) the extracurricular programs as the efforts of developing the students’ special capacities, talents, and interests. In order that the four aspects are kept assured and improved, the elementary school should deepen and expand the concept and the coverage of the literacy, improve the capacity of leading practice and teaching practice through the blended learning model, and improve the capacity of the school management system through the integrative manner in the quality system and service.

The purpose of this study is to find out and explain: 1) The contribution of school principal compensation to teacher performance. 2) The contribution of teacher commitment to teacher performance. 3) Contribution of school principal compensation and teacher commitment together to teacher performance in the SDN Batang Cenaku District. This type of research is a correlational quantitative study. The population in this study were all elementary school teachers who had become Civil Servants in Cenaku Subdistrict, Indragiri Hulu Regency, which numbered 110 people. The sample of this research was taken using stratified proportional random sampling technique, The sample of this study was 93 people. Data collection techniques in this study used for data collection were questionnaires. Data analysis using correlation and regression techniques. Based on the results of the analysis it can be concluded as follows: 1) Compensation contributes to the performance of elementary school teachers with a contribution rate of 10.5%, this means that compensation contributes to teacher performance. 2) Commitment contributes to the performance of elementary school teachers with a magnitude of 9.4%. Thus, a significant commitment to teacher performance. This means that the better the commitment, the better the teacher's performance in carrying out their duties, and vice versa. 3) Compensation and commitment together contribute to teacher performance by 18.5%. This explains that to improve good and ideal teacher performance should be done through increased compensation and commitment.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect supervision, school culture, and work commitment of job performance elementary school principal of administrative region II city west Jakarta. This research tried to answer problems about job performance with evidence increasing of service employee. The research was conducted on job performance employee involving of 110 elementary school principal had been selected from the target populations of 128 employees by using the quantitative approach with path analysis methods. The research of hypothesis testing show: (1) supervision had a direct effect positive on job performance; (2) school culture had a direct effect positive on job performance; (3) work commitment had a direct effect positive on job performance; (4) supervision had a direct effect positive on work commitment: (5) school culture had a direct effect positive on work commitment;. Therefore to improve the job performance school principal of administrative region II city west Jakarta. Need to increase supervision, school culture, and work commitment.

This study aims to obtain an overview of the relationship between school principal leadership, school culture and teacher work motivation on the professionalism of physical education teachers. The study uses a quantitative approach with the Ext-Post Facto method. The population in this study amounted to 952 people from 34 Public and Private Vocational High Schools (SMK) registered in MGMP (Subject Teachers' Consultation) Physical Education Vocational School Physical Education Serdang Bedagai Regency in North Sumatra Province in 2017. Samples of 30 physical education teachers from 34 Schools using purposive sampling techniques. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques using path analysis. The results showed that the principal's leadership and work motivation of teachers directly affected teacher professionalism, while school culture would not affect teacher professionalism. The conclusion is that the principal's good leadership, healthy school culture, and high teacher motivation are factors of high and low teacher professionalism.

The article characterizes the main aspects of language-related policy in Ukraine. Itexplores the leading role of elementary school teacher in the consolidation of statehood ofUkrainian language in the mountain region of Ukrainian Carpathians. It analyzes the latestresearch and publications on the problem of training of future elementary school teachers in use ofcommunication strategies in a poly-ethnic environment of school in the mountain region. Thearticle also defines the most important tendencies that influence a professional-communicativeactivity of the teacher in a mountain region. It explores the specifics of professional activity of theelementary school teacher in the mountain region schools of Ukrainian Carpathians. It alsocharacterizes the problems encountered by a teacher at his work. The article describes thepeculiarities of training of future teachers in communicative-strategic activity in the mountainschool region. It also defines the trends of professional training of students planning to work in themountain region environment, that are not outlined in the existing curricula and study programs.Finally, the article uncovers the concept of ethic-pedagogic approach to the linguistic education ofchildren in mountain region schools, as well as formulates the conclusions and defines theguidelines for further research.

This research aims to: 1) describing the cultural approach in the development of holistic education in Muhammadiyah Elementary School: 2) finding the role of school’s stakeholders in realizing holistic education in Muhammadiyah Sleman Elementary School. This research was conducted at Muhammadiyah Sleman Elementary School Yogyakarta. This research was qualitative research of phenomenology by interpretive paradigm. Data collection techniques were observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis was by interactive model, which were data reduction, data display, and data conclusion drawing/verification. The results of this research are: 1) school culture becomes an important part in improving education quality. The development of holistic education in Muhammadiyah elementary school using cultural approach. Values, beliefs, and habits are built on the school community’s awareness and will, which is bottom-up in nature. The basis of realizing holistic education in school is the school culture. Positive school culture will make holistic education done well, on the contrary negative school culture will make holistic education difficult to obtained. Therefore schools should build strong school culture in implementing holistic education; 2) school stakeholders who very important in realizing holistic education at Muhammadiyah Sleman Elementary School are principal, guard team of school culture, teachers, families, school committees, community, and guard team of holistic education.
