This article discusses the role of affirmative action in protecting from anxious self, and its effective contribution to treating its negative effects on building human civilization through Risale-i Nur by Imam Badi Al-Zaman Al-Nursi. Three main issues are discussed in this study: the causes of anxiousness self, the concrete effects of anxiousness self on individuals and society and the values of affirmative action that are used in treating the anxiousness self and its negative impacts. The causes of anxiousness self and its effects on individuals and society were extracted by using the inductive approach of Risale-i Nur. But the descriptive method was used to extract the effective values of affirmative action to protect from it and treat its effects. The study confirms that concentrating and completing work are among the affirmative action basics regardless of the results. It also draws attention to the importance of the media to reduce the penetration of anxiousness self among society members. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of collective actions, whether they are religious or non-religious, to treat the anxious self and reduce its impacts.

Exploratory statistical partitioning methods (K-means Clustering analysis) were applied to ADCP monitoring datasets collected inside the Douro and Minho estuaries. This analysis is aimed to discriminate ADCP acoustic responses according to the variations of the suspended particles within the ensonified medium. Based on the interpretation of the results, this work establishes general sediment transport patterns at both estuaries’ exits under continuously varying river flows and tidal amplitudes recorded during a summer dry seasonal scenario (September 2005) and winter high river discharge (January/February 2007) conditions. Results confirm the already known present scarcity of (sandy) sediment export from the Douro and Minho estuaries into the inner shelf and the consequent sediment depletion of the adjacent littoral, with no effective contribution of the Douro and some evidence of sand export observed at the Minho outlet during the winter of 2007.

This study aims to develop a guidebook for group counseling on modeling techniques to improve self-efficacy in career decision making for vocational students. This research is a type of research and development (R&D). The product acceptance tester of this manual involves 5 experts and practitioners of guidance and counseling. Testing the validity of the content of the manual product using the Lawshe formula and testing the effectiveness by finding the effective contribution (nn effect size) using the Cohen-D formula. The results of the acceptance test data analysis with the Lawshe CVR test obtained a value per item (CVR> 0 or 1) for all items, then the results of the Lawshe CVI analysis obtained a score of 1, then this result means that the value of the content validity of the product content of the group counseling guidebook Modeling technique is high, calculate the effectiveness of the guidebook and get the results 3.17 So based on the value of the effectiveness of the above then according to the criteria. If the value of effect size > 0.50 then the group counseling guide modeling technique is effective to minimize self-efficacy students'in making career decisions. This shows that the level of effectiveness of the modeling technique group counseling guidebook for SMK students is very good, so it is important to develop it for students in school.

This article proposes a solution to special least squares adjustment (LSA) models with a rank-deficient weight matrix, which are commonly encountered in geomatics. The two sources of rank deficiency in weight matrices are discussed: naturally occurring due to the inherent characteristics of LSA mathematical models and artificially induced to eliminate nuisance parameters from LSA estimation. The physical interpretation of the sources of rank deficiency is demonstrated using a case study to solve the problem of 3D line fitting, which is often encountered in geomatics but has not been addressed fully to date. Finally, some geomatics-related applications—mobile lidar system calibration, point cloud registration, and single-photo resection—are discussed along with respective experimental results, to emphasize the need to assess LSA models and their weight matrices to draw inferences regarding the effective contribution of observations. The discussion and results demonstrate the vast applications of this research in geomatics as well as other engineering domains.
