The main problem that causes character crises in children is not making faith a philosophical basis in education. So that has implications for the euphoria of excessive freedom. The child's success is only seen from the point of view of the child's academic success. Meanwhile, ethical, moral, and character values have received less serious attention. Therefore, although students excel in terms of their intelligence quotient (IQ), but emotionally quotient (EQ) children experience a very worrying character crisis. In this context, the existence of children's character education is considered very important for the next generation of the nation as an integral part of life and life. The purpose of writing this research is to find out and analyze the thoughts of Ibn Qayyim al-Jauziyyah about the concept of character education for children from the perspective of Islamic education. Children's character education is considered important, because in Islam morality or character is the realization of religious values that collect all goodness and is the foundation of all goodness and the key to achieving all goodness. Education has three elements that exist in humans, namely physical (psychomotor) elements which include body development, skills (skills) and sexual education, spiritual (affective) elements which include fostering faith, morals and irada (will), reason (cognitive) elements. which includes the development of intelligence and the provision of knowledge. The process of character education according to Ibn Qayyim Al-Jauziyyah focuses on four important things, namely: 1. The importance of introducing children to monotheism to Allah, 2. The need to teach children the basics of religious teachings, 3. Teaching and familiarizing children with good ethics and morals, 4. Exemplary, 5. Educational praise and punishment.

Balanced Scorecards (BSC) is one of the management and measurement systems used to measure the work efficiency of an institution. In Indonesia, the BSC is used as a tool for measuring the performance of higher education institutions, only a few have written about its use at the elementary and secondary school levels. Contrary to what the experts found about the poor condition of Indonesian education, the results of the BSC measurement from the study literature show the opposite condition. Is there any other meaning of these results? The success of the BSC is associated with the vision and mission of the educational institution, that's why the BSC is private and does not describe a strategy for education in general. If a benchmark of Islamic education is made and supported by longitudinal research, it will help the long-term achievement of Islamic education.

The purpose of writing this research is to know and analyze thoughts about the concept of life education perspective Ibn Qayyim al-Jauziyyah. Soul education is considered successful, if one's soul has reached the degree of nafs muthmainnah, which has three main characteristics that mutually reinforce one another, namely; (1) a faithful soul to God, (2) a patient soul, (3) a soul that is self-serving to Allah (tawakal). Through the process of mental education which includes: the foundation of theology, the purpose of mental education, integrated curriculum / manhaj at-takamul, appropriate methods and applicable according to its stages, such as: takhliyah stages, tahliyah stages, muhasabah an-nafs, dzikrullah, and tahqiq 'ubudiyah. So that from the process will give birth ihsan attitude, and will increase the piety in worship, both related to God and those related to humans and the surrounding natural environment. Because, the essence of ihsan attitude itself is upholding 'ubudiyah.
