Dual U Slot Loaded Truncated Microstrip Patch Antenna is designed for wireless applications. The proposed geometry comprised of two inverted U slots in truncated circular patch antenna operation covering 2.24 to 2.72 GHZ frequency bands are obtained. It is found that the slot and truncated is used to improve the bandwidth and return loss respectively. The resonant frequency is found to be 2.5GHZ. The bandwidth of the proposed antenna for lower and upper resonant frequency is found to be 19.2%. The proposed antenna is fed by 50Ω co-axial probe feed and simulated on Rogers RT/duroid5880 substrate.  Rogers RT/duroid 5880 substrate has dielectric constant and loss tangent of 2.2 and 0.0009 respectively. An air gap is used in this proposed design for tuning the desired frequencies and increasing the bandwidth. The antenna shows an acceptable gain of 2.1dB to 5.7dB with unidirectional pattern over the obtained frequency band.

This paper presents the designs of phase shifters for multi-beam Nolen matrix towards the fifth generation (5G) technology at 26 GHz. The low-cost, lightweight and compact size 0° and 45° loaded stubs and chamfered 90°, 135° and 180° Schiffman phase shifters are proposed at 26 GHz. An edge at a corner of the 50 Ω microstrip line Schiffman phase shifter is chamfered to reduce the excess capacitance and unwanted reflection. However, the Schiffman phase shifter topology is not relevant to be applied for the phase shifter less than 45° as it needs very small arc bending at 26 GHz. The stubs are loaded to the phase shifter in order to obtain electrical lengths, which are less than 45°. The proposed phase shifters provide return loss better than 10 dB, insertion loss of -0.97 dB and phase difference imbalance of ± 4.04° between 25.75GHz and 26.25 GHz. The Rogers RT/duroid 5880 substrate with dielectric constant of 2.2 and substrate thickness of 0.254 mm is implemented in the designs.

In this study, a wideband low profile microstrip antenna design for C-band applications is presented. The proposed antenna consists of a monopol log periodic patch in the equilateral triangular dimensions with the microstrip line fed and a rectangular ground plane. The antenna has 9×19.8 mm2 overall size, thickness of 1.6 mm and 4.3 dielectric constant. According to the simulation results, the proposed antenna has a very wide bandwidth while operating in the frequency band of 4.25-7.95 GHz and 5 GHz resonance frequency. The proposed antenna was also prototyped on FR4 substrate with the 0.02 tangent loss and the measurement results were quite similar by the simulated results.

Microstrip antenna with circular polarization can be applied for many applications. Some microstrip antenna with square, circular, triangular, and hexagonal shape has been designed to get return loss, axial ratio, and radiation performance. We compare twelve microstrip antenna by maintaining its substrate dimension, feeding shape, and outer patch dimension. Even though antenna has a circular patch, it doesn’t always produce circular polarization. From the simulation, we found that with add some structure, the antenna can reach multiband resonance from 1 to 6 GHz. The Circular patch antenna reached seven numbers of the multiband resonance frequency. The hexagonal patch antenna reaches the highest directivity as 9.53 dBi. The circular polarization is achieved for a square and Hexagonal patch shape with axial ratio value is 1.96 dB at 4 GHz and  1.26 dB at 4.1 GHz sequentially at phi 900 and theta 900.

Metode truncated corner berhasil menghasilkan polarisasi melingkar dengan nilai axial ratio 1.745 dB dan berhasil menghasilkan nilai gain sebesar 9.04 dB pada frekuensi kerja 2300 MHz untuk aplikasi LTE.Kata kunci: Antena, mikrostrip, koefisien refleksi, array, truncated corner ABSTRACTThis research proposed a four-element microstrip array antenna design withcircular polarization at a working frequency of 2300 MHz for 4G / LTEapplications. This paper presents design a High Gain Small Size Microstrip Patch Antenna for X-Band applications such as Moving target RADAR sensor, Motion detector, Microwave camera, Ground Penetration RADAR sensors, wall penetration scanners and many medical applications. Now we have to selected circular geometry of micro strip patch antenna because circular geometry overcomes edge effect of antenna. The proposed antenna is designed to operate for X-band at the centre frequency of 10 GHz. The proposed Circular patch antenna is compact and easy to body mount with a high efficiency. The compactness makes it a better choice as compare with other antenna in the X-band. The proposed antenna shows a very sharp return loss of -46 dB at 10 GHz having narrow pattern with a good gain of 4.7 dBi. This enables its use in high directional applications. The paper represents the designing steps, and the simulation result obtained. The software used here for this circular shaped microstrip antenna is IE3D. Various parameters such as gain, power, radiation pattern, and S11 of the antenna are mentioned.

There are various feeding methods of antenna like as coaxial probe, coupling, parasitic elements, and impedance matching. This paper adopted the microstrip line method as the feeding method of the antenna. The high frequency structure simulator is used to analyze the characteristics of the T-shaped microstrip antenna with various patch dimensions. In comparison with the basic microstrip antenna, this proposed T-shaped microstrip antenna with 40.38 % of patch dimensions has the optimum characteristics of resonant frequency, return loss, and radiation pattern at 2.0 GHz band.

Furthermore, the antenna is designed on a FR-4 substrate with dielectric constant of 4.3 and thickness 1.6 mm. This antenna simulated in CST Microwave Studio software. In order to test the antenna, an arm model was numerically modelled. The study shows properties and performances of antenna when it is placed in three situations which in free space, outside and inside of human arm model. The properties of UWB antenna in term of return loss, gain, directivity and radiation pattern in the three situations is simulated and discussed.
