Nowadays, vocational education and the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) are an interesting topic to discuss for contributing to the ASEAN future. This article explores the vocational education in Indonesia facing ASEAN Economic Community.  Vocational education is clearly significant not only to help the government but also to determine the future direction of the people and the nation. This article describes the condition of vocational education in facing ASEAN Economic Community. Also, this article explores the strategic roles in the development of vocational education in the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) era for the benefit of the nation which is expected by all, especially for society, nation, and the world through reviewing references and literature books, news, journals and opinions in mass media and various related publications and sources. The article discusses the contributions from all stakeholders of education from civil society organizations in Indonesia that are very significant for facing AEC. Implications for educational policies on vocational education are also presented.

This article reports the results of a study on how to fill the free market program of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). Indonesia has significant demographic bonus when compared to other ASEAN countries, so that specifically Indonesia will become an easy target for economic activity (read: free market flow transactions) carried out by all members of ASEAN. Demographic bonus is an opportunity and challenge for the Indonesian people, both for those who live in cities or in the countryside. This condition will be more complicated, if the mapping potential of the population does not become a serious concern for the government and stakeholders so that the people of Indonesia will become the largest consumer for products of ASEAN countries. One of the potential populations of Indonesia is women, because they have specific skills that are able to be directed towards an income. The purpose of this study is to prepare the people of Indonesia who have the skills, especially women in entering the AEC both urban and rural communities. This study uses a qualitative method of observation, interviews and review of documents, such as books, newspapers and others.

Indonesia entered  the ASEAN Economic Community (MEA) as of December 31, 2015. In essence the purpose of the establishment of the MEA is to improve the stability of the economy in the ASEAN region, and is expected to overcome the problems in the economic field among ASEAN countries. The consequences of the MEA deal are the free flow of goods and services, free flow of capital and investment, and free flow of skilled labor for ASEAN countries. Free flow of labor is seen as a threat as well as an opportunity for the state of Indonesia. Therefore the Government of Indonesia through the Education and Culture Ministry, especially the Directorate of Vocational Secondary Education implemented a policy strategy of SMK revitalization. The aim of Vocational Revitalization is to realize the school Link and Match with the Business / Industry World (DuDi) thus eliminating the gap between vocational education and DuDi's needs. Three important activities in the implementation strategy of SMK revitalization are the development of industry-based curriculum, teaching factory, and graduate competency certification. Activity is applied to a variety of expertise programs one of which is a program Agribusiness of Agricultural Product Processing (Agroindustry). Recent decades, we often hear the advent of the Asean Economic Community (AEC) which is a community that is struggling in the field of free market economies in particular, so it requires some readiness; economic, capital, and the equally important need readiness of human resources as the party who run the economy. For Indonesia alone, MEA will be an opportunity for trade barriers will tend to diminish even be non-existent. This will impact on increasing exports, which in turn will increase the GDP of Indonesia. On the other hand, the Muslims as the vast majority of Indonesia's population must face the Asean Economic Community (AEC). In this case Indonesian Muslims should be careful and ready to face the AEC. Campaigners Indonesian economy began to prepare for the era of free markets that will be enforced. The era of the free market itself is the result of the formation of the Asean Economic Community (AEC). The free market itself covering the areas of capital, goods and services, and labor. In this regard, please note that the mission is a process conducted by a conscious and planned to invite the people to the path of Allah, to improve the situation for the better (da’wah is the promotion and development) in order to achieve certain goals, namely to live happily in the world hereafter. In this paper will attempt to peel da’wah efforts in developing the quality of the people in the face of the Asean Economic Community (AEC).

Local governments have to make regulatory system warehouse related resinous to cut the tengkulak a highly lethal businesses fshermen in guarantees the availability of capital for the production of sustainable and stabilize commodity prices.IntisariPeran masyarakat sangat dibutuhkan untuk tercapainya pembangunan, karena keberhasilan pembangunan di suatu negara adalah bagaimana pemerintah menentukan model pemberdayaan kepada masyarakatnya. Kebijakan Pemerintah Daerah dalam pembangunan memiliki andil dengan melakukan upaya-upaya serius. Lebih lagi Indonesia menghadapi Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN (MEA) pada tahun 2016, yang bertujuan sebagai salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan stabilitas perekonomian di kawasan ASEAN. Kesinambungan antara pemerintah daerah dan masyarakat guna menghadapi tantangan MEA sangat diperlukan. Pemerintah daerah harus membuat regulasi terkait sistem resi gudang guna memangkas jalur tengkulak yang sangat mematikan hasil usaha nelayan dalam menjamin ketersediaan modal usaha untuk produksi yang berkelanjutan dan menstabilkan harga komoditi.

In the end of 2015, ASEAN Community will be fully implemented in Southeast Asia. The community will bring ASEAN countries to the next stage of cooperation in order to bring prosperity to the region. However, several obstacles still have to be faced by ASEAN. Territorial dispute between Indonesia and Malaysia, Thailand and Cambodia concerning Preah Temple, Malaysia with The Phillipines over Sabah, etc are some of the problems. Other problems related to South China Sea, even involving five ASEAN members on dispute. Although it is clear that member of ASEAN countries agree to settle their problems according to ASEAN mechanism as the most respective organization in the region, on several occasions they prefer to take it bilaterally or bring it to the Hague. The assumption of non-interference principle as the organization conflict solving mechanism does not apply accordingly. As such, we have to find other ways. Peace can only be achieved through closer relations between ASEAN countries. Closer relation creates better understanding between people within those countries. If “high level” (G to G) conflict resolution does not work, we have to turn to the people. Closer relations among its people will be a “grass root’ power to force the government to end their dispute. This paper will examine how ASEAN Socio-Culture Community (ASCC), alongside CSO’s within them, will work in creating closer relations among ASEAN countries, in order to solve disputes in the region.Key words: ASEAN Community, ASEAN Socio-Culture Community, Dispute, Civil Society Organizations (CSO).

ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) is a regional program which started in 2015, was developed by members of ASEAN countries which have agreed on pillars on mutual collaboration to increase the economic and social growth. The AEC has agreed to carry out four major pillars: (1) single market and production base, (2) competitive economic region, (3) equitable economic development and (4) integration into global economy. The four pillars are divided into 17 core elements, and among the core element, there is one particular core element which focuses on human resources which is the free flow of skilled labours<strong>. </strong>The government of the ASEAN countries have taken actions towards anticipating the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), especially in regards to the free flow of skilled labour. One of actions is improving the quality of education. Some countries have invested high amount of funds in order to increase the quality of graduates. Indonesia has also started to make improvements in the quality of education. One of the improvement was in the form of constructing Indonesian Qualification Framework (IQF) which were then obliged for all education institution to follow. However, related to the vocational education, more beneficial collaborations with the industry should be carried out. Also, other soft skills which are required in workplace still need to be formally included in the assessment process of the education

The government plays an important role in ensuring the country’s development.  Similarly, for a province; the government of a province should take actions to improve the quality of the province. However, besides the government there are the role of civil society organizations that could not be ignored. If the government and civil society organizations’ perspectives are contradicting to each other, community will be living in ambiguous situation; there could be some of the community will choose to be in the civil society organizations’ sides, or in support to the government. This essay will describe how the people in Aceh Province in Indonesia has experienced various challenge because of there were some contradictions between the government and certain civil society organizations. Therefore, it is necessary to have good cooperation between government and civil society organizations. Although the civil society organizations will act as oppositions or partners of government, but it should synergy with the main aims should be for the better life of the people; community development.  Keywords: government, civil society organizations, community, development

Land acquisition for public purposes, including for the construction of railroad infrastructure, is a matter that is proposed by all countries in the world. The Indonesian government or the Malaysian royal government needs land for railroad infrastructure development. To realize this, a regulation was made that became the legal umbrella for the government or royal government. The people must agree to regulations that require it. Land acquisition for public use in Malaysia can be completed quickly in Indonesia. The influencing factor is the different perceptions of the understanding of what are in the public interest, history and legal systems of the two countries as well as the people's reaction from the two countries

UNSTRUCTURED COVID-19, the disease caused by a novel severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), is a highly contagious disease. On January 30, 2020 the World Health Organization declared the outbreak as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. As of July 25, 2020; 15,947,292 laboratory-confirmed and 642,814 deaths have been reported globally. India has reported 1,338,928 confirmed cases and 31,412 deaths till date. This paper presents different aspects of COVID-19, visualization of the spread of infection and presents the ARIMA model for forecasting the status of COVID-19 death cases in the next 50 days in order to take necessary precaution by the Government to save the people.

Civil society organizations are, if not schools, at least pools of democracy. In the ‘third sector’, too, active engagement and participation ‘by the people’ have given way to meritocracy, or, in other words, to rule by the well-educated. Many popularly rooted mass organizations have witnessed a decline in membership and political influence. Their role as intermediary between politics and society has been taken over by professionally managed advocacy groups that operate with university educated public affairs consultants. First, the chapter describes the associational revolution, the enormous increase in the number of civil society organizations. Then it in analyses the education gap in membership and the shift from large membership organizations to lean professional advocacy groups, which has occurred over the past three decades. The chapter concludes with a discussion of the net effect of this meritocratization of civil society for political participation and interest representation.
