The aim of the study is to evaluate the results of management of production resources in farms oriented for horticultural production against the background of the results of all farms that were covered by FADN agricultural accounting for 2013-2015. Production and economic results like productivity and profitability of land, labor and capital were analyzed. The results of the surveyed farms show a much higher level of production efficiency of horticultural holdings, especially the productivity of land resources, but also of capital. Farms specializing in horticulture achieved economic results several times better than that of total holdings, therefore they outperformed them more economically than by production, especially in the management of land resources as well as capital. Subsidies to horticultural holdings do not have a significant impact on the level of income earned by these holdings.

The aim of the study is to evaluate the results of management of production resources in orchard farms against the background of all farms. Production efficiency of the land resources of fruit farms was almost twice as high as that of the all farms, the productivity of the involved capital was similar in both groups of farms, and the productivity of the labour spent was smaller in the orchard farms, as these farms engaged significantly more labour. Farms specializing in orchard production achieved considerably higher incomes than all farms, so the economic efficiency of resource management was also higher in these holdings, especially the yield of land (more than two and a half times). It is worth emphasizing that the subsidies to farm businesses had a much lower share of the income of fruit farms than in the total income of agricultural holdings.

Abstract The influence of conservational tillage and cultivar on pod yield, crop value, and market grade factors was evaluated as a means to increase the production efficiency of peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.). Two conservational tillage systems, in-row and band tillage, and one conventional tillage system were compared over a 4-yr period using the cultivars Florigiant, NC 6, and VA 81B. For all three cultivars, pod yields averaged 15% less and crop values averaged 21% less under the conservational tillage systems as compared to the conventional tillage system. The cultivar NC 6 performed slightly better than Florigiant and VA 81B. The percentage of extra large kernels for NC 6 was significantly higher than for the other two cultivars. There were no significant differences in the percentage of sound mature kernels and total meat content between the three cultivars. Tillage systems did not have a consistent effect on grade factors over the 4-yr period.

This paper presents a super efficiency network Data Envelopment Analysis (SE-NDEA) model for eleven cities in China. The model focuses on measuring the performance of public transit system by integrating multiple stakeholders involved in public transit system with the exogenous environment in where they operated. Thus, local authority, bus operators, passengers, uncontrollable environmental factors, and the externality of public transit are all taken into account in the measurement framework. They are interrelated inputs and outputs. The measurement framework can simultaneously capture each public transit system’s production efficiency, service effectiveness, and operational effectiveness. Meanwhile, undesirable outputs, uncontrollable factors, and boundary-valued variables are considered. The paper evaluates the performance of public transit system of 11 Chinese cities from 2009 to 2016. The results reveal that the exogenous environment has a marked impact on the performance measurement of public transit system. Super cities tend to perform better than mega cities, and mega cities tend to perform better than large cities. Furthermore, service effectiveness has a significantly positive correlation with production efficiency, and transit rail tends to perform better than the conventional bus. These findings have an important implication for China’s bus priority implement and more general managerial insights for public transit development.

The study aims to determine (1) the factors that affect rice production in the district was. (2) Efficient use of land, seed, fertilizer, and labor on the fields in the district was. This research is quantitative. Sources of data in this research are secondary data from the primary data from questionnaires to farmers of paddy in Gorontalo. The data analysis technique used is the Cobb Douglas. These results indicate that (1) the results of the Cobb Douglas found that simultaneous land, seed, fertilizer, labor, and land tenure positive and significant impact on rice production in the district was the province of Gorontalo to the value of the determinant of 79,50% for tenants and owners of 67,50% to the tiller. Then the partial results only land, seed and labor are positive and significant impact on rice production in the district was Gorontalo province. The coefficient of land ownership that is positive indicates that farmers with its status as the owner of tenants is better than the sharecroppers in generating optimal production. (2) The results of the technical efficiency analysis shows that the area of land, seed, labor, and land tenure have a greater value than one that is in the category yet efficient (increasing returns to scale). Then for fertilizer has a smaller value than one that is in the category inefficient (decreasing return to scale). The results of the comparison in terms of the land status was found that the owner of tenants is better than the tenants in the efficiency of production input rice production in the district was.

SummaryIntracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) has been widely applied in humans, mice, and some domestic animals to cure human infertility, or produce genetically superior or genetically engineered animals. However, the production efficiency of ICSI in pigs remains quite low. In this study, we developed a new sperm pretreatment method to improve production efficiency of ICSI in pigs. Experiment 1 revealed that pretreating porcine sperm with 2.5 mg/ml lipase before ICSI operation, not only can reduce the adhesion between sperm and the injection pipette without adding polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) in the operating medium, but also significantly improve male pronuclei (MPN) formation rate (55.56% vs. 40.00% (0 mg/ml), 42.59% (5.0 mg/ml), 40.00% (10.0 mg/ml), P < 0.05) and enhance developmental competence of ICSI embryos (26.03% vs. 10.87% (0 mg/ml), 10.00% (5.0 mg/ml), 10.13% (10.0 mg/ml), P < 0.05). Experiment 2 showed that this method has a higher MPN formation rate (50.47% vs. 30.78%, P < 0.05) and blastocyst rate (18.81% vs. 7.41%, P < 0.05) than the PVP method, and was better than the Triton X-100 treatment method (50.47% vs. 46.23%, 18.81% vs. 12.75%). Therefore, pretreating porcine sperm with 2.5 mg/ml lipase before ICSI operation is highly recommended, instead of adding PVP in the operating medium.

Production potential characterizes the amount of production resources of an enterprise and reflects its ability to produce products. The cost of production capacity and the level of its utilization are important information that can be used in the company's management process. The most relevant practical tasks related to determining the potential of an enterprise can include: assessing the total cost of production resources, the cost of the company, production efficiency, determining the overall scientific and technical level of production, the company's competitiveness, and the optimal size of production. Despite the fact that the tools of the theory of production potential can be used to solve various problems related to enterprise management, most research in this area is of a General theoretical nature. The article considers the essence of the production potential, methods for determining its value. It is concluded that one of the priority directions of using information about the potential of the enterprise is a more accurate assessment of the economic efficiency of production. The classification of indicators for evaluating the overall (absolute) production efficiency is carried out and it is proposed to Supplement it with a group of integral indicators, which include generalizing indicators for evaluating the production potential of the enterprise. The proposed approach will allow not only to conduct a more reasonable assessment of production efficiency, but also to develop certain theoretical positions in the field of determining production potential.

The aim of the study is to assess the results of production resources management in farms focused on crop production against the background of the total number of agricultural holdings that were covered by agricultural accounting in the FADN system in 2013-2015. The analysis covered the production and economic results as well as the productivity and profitability of land, labor and capital resources. The results of the surveyed farms presented in the study point to a lower level of production results and productivity of land resources and capital in plant holdings, especially the productivity of land resources. Farms specializing in crop production had economic results at a much lower level than total farms, therefore the profitability of land resources was also significantly lower in these farms. It should be emphasized that subsidies for the operation of plant farms determine the level of income obtained by these farms.

Environmental planning and management serve to develop and implement special measures aimed at the rational use of natural resources, including the rational land use. Any further improvement of the production efficiency as well as of the material and cultural living standards is subject to the rational, economical use of land resources aiming to ensure balance in the natural environment. Land resources constitute a critical factor in the production and economic development of the country. State economic potential is strongly dependent on the availability and efficiency of environmental use and protection. For its part, the rational and effective land use requires a unified state register of immovable property. With due consideration of the current land use challenges and in order to improve the land use efficiency and regulating procedure, the appropriate legal and regulatory acts have been adopted both at the federal and local level in the Russian Federation. The principles of the rational land use planning are subject to current environmental safety requirements and management mechanism.
