Maintenance tools present a difficult problem in complex support system, for the considerable varieties to be integrated and optimized. In order to obtain the solution, a maintenance tools category integration method was developed, which minimizes the support burden and costs. A maintenance tools category integration analysis method was employed based on case analysis method, which can classify the maintenance tools scientifically by its main characters. The integration flow and implement steps were employed, which can improve the solving efficiency for the integration method. At last, a numerical example was given, which examined the feasibility and validity of this method.

In today’s education and teaching reform, the traditional teaching method in the teaching of polymer materials has been gradually replaced with various new teaching methods. Among them, the case analysis method is a very effective teaching method, which has been applied to the teaching of polymer materials. Through example-based teaching, students’ participation can be effectively improved, and their theoretical knowledge can be fully utilized. This would have a positive role in promoting the improvement of students’ knowledge system and their learning ability. In regard to this, this article analyzes the application of case analysis in the teaching of polymer materials so as to improve its efficiency and quality.

We employ a comparative case analysis method to compare the theoretical patterns with the empirical patterns of the governance forms. We selected two multi-national franchise networks based in Austria. Our findings suggest that franchisor&rsquo;s multi-unit franchising strategy can be explained by monitoring costs, franchisee&rsquo;s transaction-specific investments, franchisor&rsquo;s system-specific assets, and franchisor&rsquo;s financial resources scarcity. </span></span></p>

The article discusses the use of the «Case analysis» method in teaching students a foreign language at higher school. Acquainting the reader with the history and development of this method, the paper provides a detailed comparative analysis of the «Case analysis» and the method of problem analysis taking into consideration the experience of using it in the Russian higher education environment. The article presents the advantages and disadvantages of both methods when teaching a foreign language and provides an execution plan for working with foreign-language material in the context of modular training and the above-mentioned techniques usage — the stages of implementation, a plan diagram, evaluation criteria. The author also emphasizes the necessity of additional training for teachers.

There is uncertainty during analysis the stability of karst roof under pile tip. The interval numbers are used to express the calculation parameters. Secondly, the limit equilibrium analysis model of karst roof under pile tip is presented based on the present study. Thirdly, the performance function is suggested to evaluate the reliability of the stability of karst roof under pile tip. The non-probabilistic reliability analysis method for stability of karst roof under pile tip is finally founded. This method is proved to be rational and feasible by engineering case analysis.

Teaching with cases, especially at universities where cases are not a regular part of the curriculum, poses challenges for both faculty and students. The results in this research present an effective and manageable method to introduce the case analysis process and to facilitate written case analysis for both students and faculty. Experiment 1 compares the effectiveness of a semistructured one-page written case analysis over a traditional case analysis and finds the shorter assignment results in shorter grading time and better student grades. A two-case method introducing the case analysis process is tested in Experiment 2 and finds that a short lecture introducing the case analysis method and an initial small group practice case further improves student grades. Theoretical reasoning and directions for future research are discussed.
