Abstract:Business ethics should not just be a corporate code, but be implemented in the line of business as a corporate philosophy. As an example of the above, I would like to present corporate activities of Canon, Inc. based on the “Kyosei” Initiative which I directed, especially its global development. I would like to show that these activities are ahead of the times and result in great prosperity of a corporation, and to tell my dream to increase corporations which take the same types of actions based on the “Kyosei” Initiative.

AbstractStepping into other women's farms was like being born into a fresh and nurturing culture. From this global perspective all my mothers began to make sense to me. They all expressed a single theme: "Be a woman. Seek and work only for what is life sustaining. Don't just change with the times, let the time change because you are present. Make a difference. " It is their faith and hope, their courage and strength, their joy and their love that connect me with myself and move me to connect with all who love life and seek to make a difference. So I do my theology always asking: "What difference does it make?" and I do a lot of dreaming anticipating today the gospel of the future. The twins of what is and what is yet to be still struggle within me. Yet already the new African woman and theologian is on the threshold. The water of her coming is already gushing out; with her comes the water of life. So the gardens shall bloom. Only the flowers and the vegatables shall be allowed to live; weeds and blight shall be forbidden. 2

One year after the defeat of the Spanish Armada, a small book entitled The Morchants Aviso was published in London. The contents of this guide offers the reader a good compendium of the Elizabethan merchant's global perspective. Its author, John Browne, gives the reader appertaining accounting models for the job he was due to start abroad. The target of these accounts was teaching young men how to keep a methodological record of all overseas transactions and, at the same time, providing the merchant with the necessary information to be entered in his own account books. The value of The Marchants Avizo does not lie only on the data it provides about commercial techniques but also on the fact that, as a whole, it presents a story, told from inside, about the problems a merchant had to face daily in his business. Apart from this text, there is only another Elizabethan document of economic nature that could be compared with The Marchants Avizo. It is a dateless anonymous six page manuscript. Should its information have been combined with The Marchants Avizo, the Elizabethan reader would have had an excellent and detailed manual on overseas trade. This paper tries to study thoroughly the outstanding manual in which two aims are targeted: Teaching young people commercial techniques and business ethics.

Is there any chance that the global economy struggling with the pandemic, could be able to recover soon or would the times get longer? Answering this question becomes quite hard because we can’t rely on any precedent. The statistical projections rely on the hypothesis “tomorrow the same as today”, thus showing some uncertainty. However, we cannot forget that the pre-coronavirus world was and still is troubled by a creeping deflation; this is a sign that the economy goes through an unstable condition and has lost the route of the correct relationship with nature. On the other hand, we are witnessing an exceptional exploit in the performance of some Asian countries, in particular China and India. A phenomenon that should be interpreted as the result of a natural correction tending to the resource and culture appropriate distribution between continents. A phenomenon that worked as an accelerator of global development and that has now almost stopped, due to the substantial parity of China with Europe and North America. Then there is the issue of the unequal wealth distribution in the major Nations with an accumulation at the top of society and an increasing poverty spread. A phenomenon that is contrasting the economic development and is causing serious social tensions. The natural correction is entrusted to the subordinate financial cycle which, however, plays to the advantage of the real economy. Any projection of the post-pandemic economic performance should therefore consider the action of the whole series of events. We can say that the lockdown of the global economy has the result of a forced recession that we may consider as actually playing a natural role in reducing the instability inside the economy. And this can give the result of a rising inflation (now too low) and therefore of a potential improvement in the economic climate. Regarding the issue of resource redistribution between continents, we may expect that -after Asia- also Africa and Latin America would be involved in the development acceleration process. This eventuality of the reciprocal interests between competing countries, whether applied with a greater energy, would certainly be a driving force towards the global development. Finally, the issue of great wealth and great poverty will be a valid reason for a substantial attention by the fiscal and monetary policy, because the correction of these anomalies will be a necessary direction in order to avoid economic and social problems that could twist like dangerous snakes.

In the past three decades, there has been a rise in neo-Schumpeterian approaches for understanding the role of innovation in technological development cycles. However, a literature review reveals two important factors are missing: first, an understanding of the role of the Global Network, defined as the connective network by which people, goods, and information move around the world, and second, a more holistic view of innovation cycles that is based on hierarchies of technologies and encompasses the influence of sociopolitical interactions and market integration worldwide. This paper presents a new conceptual framework for understanding the development of technology, taking these factors into account through the grouping of innovations into Global Development Cycles. With increasing globalization and radical technological development, the attempt to understand predictable, long-term pattern changes has never been more important if we are to effectively manage global development. The implications of this more comprehensive global perspective are discussed.

The global development of the 21st century demanding students ability to be more critical, analytical and creative, so the school have a role as an instrument to shape that personality. School literacy movement is one effort to answer the demands. Through literacy students are conditioned to intelligently analyze, construct mindsets, which ultimately generate critical and dignified behaviors in the deal with the times changing. Student behavior is formed through the conditioning of school environments involving multiple parties, including guidance and counseling teachers. The guidance and counseling teacher should be able to translate the needs of the students to develop literacy skills through programs designed for students. Guidance and counseling teachers are able to integrated student literacy development procedures in classroom learning with services provided to students, so that the development of this literacy is integrated with guidance and counseling services.

AbstractThe Algol-type eclipsing binary WX Eridani was observed on 21 nights on the 48-inch telescope of the Japal-Rangapur Observatory during 1973-75 in B and V colours. An improved period of P = 0.82327038 days was obtained from the analysis of the times of five primary minima. An absorption feature between phase angles 50-80, 100-130, 230-260 and 280-310 was present in the light curves. The analysis of the light curves indicated the eclipses to be grazing with primary to be transit and secondary, an occultation. Elements derived from the solution of the light curve using Russel-Merrill method are given. From comparison of the fractional radii with Roche lobes, it is concluded that none of the components have filled their respective lobes but the primary star seems to be evolving. The spectral type of the primary component was estimated to be F3 and is found to be pulsating with two periods equal to one-fifth and one-sixth of the orbital period.
