Vocational high school comprehensively relates technology studies, the development of acquisition of practical skills, attitudes, and life skills. In this context, teachers play important role in forming and producing competent graduates’ need toward Society 5.0. This study aims to analyze teachers’ perceptions about vocational high school readiness toward Society 5.0. This study used a descriptive quantitative with survey method. The respondents were vocational high school teachers that have been selected using a random sampling method. The result indicated teachers’ understanding of Society 5.0 is low. The school’s readiness to facilitate learning also quite low. The assessments still generalized requirements for student achievement. On the other hand, teachers still have the motivation to learn to use technology. The majority of teachers often attend training to improve instructional media skills. Based on these results, school preparation needs to be improved in terms of teacher competence and learning support facilities for Society 5.0.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh iklim sekolah terhadap semangat kerja guru sekolah menengah kejuruan. Metode penelitian menggunakan survei eksplanatory. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dengan skala 1 sampai dengan 5 model skala likert. Responden sebanyak 32 guru sekolah menengah kejuruan. Teknik analisis menggunakan regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif antara iklim sekolah terhadap semangat kerja guru. Dengan demikian semakin kondusif iklim sekolah, maka semakin tinggi tingkat semangat kerja guru.Kata Kunci: iklim sekolah, semangat kerjaSCHOOL CLIMATE AS THE DETERMINANT OF VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS’ WORK ENTHUSIASMThe research aims to find about the influence of school climate on vocational high school teachers’ work enthusiasm. It adopted an explanatory survey method. Data were collected with a 1-5 Likert scale questionnaire. The respondents consisted of 32 vocational high school teachers. Data were analyzed with regression technique. The findings show that school climate had positive influence on teachers’ work enthusiasm. Therefore, the more conducive the school climate is, the higher teachers’ enthusiasm will be.Keywords: school climate, work enthusiasm

This study was conducted to determine the organizational silence perceptions of teachers who work in public high schools in the Bağcılar district, Istanbul province of Turkey, and to specify whether they differ according to different variables. The survey model was used in the study. The research was performed with 323 teachers working in vocational high schools in the Bağcılar district of Istanbul in the 2017-2018 academic year. In the study, the random sampling method was employed. The "Personal Information Form" and "Organizational Silence Scale" were used as data collection tools. In the research, descriptive statistics, the independent samples t-test, one-way analysis of variance, and the Kruskal-Wallis test were performed. The general organizational silence perceived by vocational high school teachers was found to be "low." It was revealed that the perceived organizational silence of vocational high school teachers did not vary by gender, educational level, professional seniority, subject, and union membership, while the perceived general organizational silence varied depending on age.

This study presents the competence of vocational high school teachers through the implementation of five work dimensions of teachers’ incremental standard competence. It was conducted in the framework of the sustainable professional development for vocational teachers using participatory action research at two Vocational High Schools by involving 50 teachers. The study included socialization of incremental competency standards and reflection, mentoring and consultation sessions, and teaching reports and reflection. Data collection used observation, assessment, and teaching reports. To optimize the results, it was ended with a focus group discussion involving the Institute for Education Quality Assurance. The results showed that the teachers’ competence in the aspects of the learning plan, learning resource utilization, media utilization, facilitating students’ learning needs, ability to create learning evaluation instrument, and following up the learning outcomes were all categorized as good while the aspect of developing students’ potentials both curriculum implementation and reflection ability was categorized as very good. It indicates the mentoring and the consultation worked effectively. Meanwhile, the teachers' ability that should be improved is the creation of assessment instruments.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kompetensi terhadap kinerja guru baik yang sudah mengikuti sertifikasi profesi maupun yang belum mengikuti sertifikasi profesi. Metode penelitian menggunakan explanatory survey. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket skala 5 model rating scale.  Responden adalah 88 guru Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) di Kota Bandung. Teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) kompetensi dan kinerja guru berada pada kategori tinggi; (2) kompetensi berpengaruh positif terhadap tingkat kinerja guru baik guru yang belum mengikuti sertifikasi profesi maupun yang sudah mengikuti sertifikasi profesi;  dan (3) terdapat perbedaan kompetensi dan kinerja guru yang belum mengikuti sertifikasi profesi dengan yang sudah mengikuti sertifikasi profesi.Kata Kunci: kompetensi guru, kinerja guru, sertifikasi profesi, sekolah menengah kejuruan  COMPETENCE AND TEACHERS PERFORMANCE WITH  PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONResearch aimed to analyze the influence of teacher’s competence on teacher job performance either already certified or not certified profession. Data were analyzed using simple regression. The results showed: (1) the teacher’s competence and teacher job performance at the high category; (2) teacher’s competence positive effect on the level of teacher job performance of both teachers who have not been certified profession and those already certified professions; and (3) there are differences in teacher’s competence and teacher job performance are not yet certified, profession with already certified profession.Keywords: teacher competence, teacher performance, certification profession, vocational high school

This study was conducted from February 2021 to March 2021 to determine the stress management amidst the covid - 19 pandemics of the junior high school teachers in selected high schools of Aborlan North. The descriptive research design, specifically the survey method, was used in this study. Data were gathered through survey questionnaires. A total of 39 permanent teachers were enumerated from the selected high schools as the respondents of the study. The result showed that most of the respondents were married females in their middle age. They had been in the service for a mean of 11.3 years and almost three fourth (74.4%) of them were Secondary School Teacher I with a mean teaching load of 26.4 hours per week. The perceived sources of stress such as work, family, personal, and environmental were considered distinctly part of the respondents’ lives. The level of perceived stress of the respondents was noted to be “high stress”. The activities engaged in very often to manage stress by a majority of the respondents were walking, praying, attending church/religious service, planting, gardening, and watering plants, washing domes, cooking/baking, evaluating oneself, watching the news, watching entertainment programs, watching “teledramas”, “telenovelas”, listening to music, texting, going to the internet, and talking with a family member.

The research purpose was determined the effect of intellectual ability, discipline, supervision, and motivation on the vocational high school teachers’ professionalism in the Surakarta City. The research type is explanatory research. The research population are teachers of Vocational High School in Surakarta City. Sampling technique was used purposive sampling technique. Technique of data collection was used questionnaires. Data analysis techniques were used statistical analysis including of multiple linear tests, F-test, and t-test. The research results showed that 1) intellectual ability, discipline, supervision, and work motivation are simultaneously have a significant effect on the vocational high school teachers’ professionalism in Surakarta City. 2) Intellectual abilities has significant effect on the vocational high school teachers’ professionalism in Surakarta City. 3) Discipline has a significant effect on vocational high school teachers’ professionalism in the Surakarta city. 4) Work motivation has significant effect on the vocational high school teachers’ professionalism in Surakarta City. 5) Supervision has significant effect on the vocational high school teachers’ professionalism in Surakarta. The research purpose is to accurate, valid, and reliable data concerning whether there is correlation between intrinsic motivation and year 10 th student’s learning achievement at Nurul Iman Vocational High School Jakarta. The study was conducted for three months from April to June 2014. The method adopted in the study is a survey method with a correlational approach. The population in the study is all year 10 th students at Nurul Iman Vocational High School Jakarta, counted 122 students in total, and the feasible population of the study is year 10 th students majoring in office and administration, counted 72 students. The sample used in the study is 62 students with proportionally random technique. The instrument used in obtaining data for variable X (internal motivation) was in the form of questionnaire with Likert Scale. For variable Y (learning achievement) the data were collected from students’ grades on school report card in the second semester of 2013/2014, issued by Nurul Iman Vocational High School Jakarta. The data analysis technique was done by figuring out the regression equation and the equation is Ŷ = 70.14 + 0.06X. The regression linearity test yielded F counting (1.37) < F table (1.84) therefore it can be concluded that the equation is linear. The correlation coefficient test of product moment yielded r counting = 0.286. The result of the study concludes that there is positive correlation between intrinsic motivation and learning achievement of year 10 th students in Nurul Iman High Vocational School. The test of determination coefficient yielded 8.17% therefore it can be concluded that there is positive and significant correlation between intrinsic motivation and learning achievement.
