The study was conducted to investigate the socio-economic characteristics of the agar farmers, the extent of constraints in agar wood cultivation; and the factors allied with constraints in agar tree farming. Despite the enormous potential of agar (Aquilaria malaccensis Roxb.) production in Bangladesh, it has yet to gain traction due to socioeconomic, technical, and marketing challenges. The cultivation of agar trees is largely centered in the Sylhet region, where a large number of agar farmers engage. This research was carried out in Maulvibazar district's Barlekha upazila (sub-district) to better understand and assess the restrictions and factors that affect agar tree cultivation. A survey was conducted with 120 households during September 2018 to March 2019. Descriptive statistics, rank order, coefficient of correlation, and multiple linear regression were used to examine the data. Out of 12 constraints, the most significant barrier was a lack of funds to engage in agar farming (2.81), which was followed by a lack of technical guidance (2.71). The lack of labor was the least important constraint faced by the farmers (1.43). It was revealed that education, household size, farm size, number of trees per farmer, annual income, experience in agar farming, agar wood cultivation under trees and knowledge of agar cultivation of the farmers were shown to be realized to agar plantation constraints. However, education, farm size, annual revenue, and agar growing experience were identified as major drivers of the degree of agar farming constraints. The study identified various policymakers' potential to address the influencing variables (education, farm size, annual revenue, and agar farming experience) in establishing agar farming. Furthermore, finance facilities, adequate agar farming instruction, and forest department introspection could all help to reduce agar farming obstacles.

This study used a qualitative approach by conducting case study at Palangka Raya Health Polytechnic. The research results are as follows: (a) Supporting factor that must be there is the existence of a manual or technical guidance in organizing the organization; (b) Whereas the inhibiting factor is the old habits, the mindset, the mental model is still inhibiting from the organizers and members of the organization; (c) The inhibiting factor is the existence of selfishness of each highly visible party; (d) Inhibitors may also occur if there are still "little kings" and selfishness from each of the former institutions; (e) Other issues that support in this process of change are in terms of facilities and infrastructure, namely the availability of buildings and land; (f) Another inhibiting factor is that in terms of educational qualifications, there are departments that do not meet, for example in the midwifery department there are still many average teachers with Diploma IV education background and non-linear education; (g) Inhibiting factors may also occur if the reason of seniority is always carried around; (h) The inhibiting factor is lack of human resources in using modern health equipment, including the use of teaching aids in accordance with the progress of science and teaching and learning technology.

Abstract   Code switching is a very common phenomenon in EFL language classrooms. The goal of this case study is to find out the possible reasons why EFL instructors employ code switching in ELT classes in Turkey. To achieve this, a brief questionnaire composed of the most common seven reasons mentioned in the relevant literature on code switching in language classrooms was compiled by the researcher and administered to ten EFL teachers working at different state universities in Turkey. The participants were asked to rank order the reasons from the most ideal to the least ideal purpose of employing code switching in classrooms for themselves and were later asked to write the reasons for their choices. It was found that “leaving no confusion about the topic” was the most common reason for the participants and the teachers who prioritized that reason seemed to have similar ideas about employing code switching in EFL. Discussion of the results and implications for future research are presented. Keywords: Code switching, language teaching, ideas about code switching, foreign language instructors.

This research aims to identify factors correlated significantly to the motivation of farmers in perseving traditional rainfed farming systems, such as using local seeds and planting once a year.  The population of this study is farmer who still perform the traditional paddy farming system in the Village of North Tapanuli Parbaju Julu County North Sumatra Province. As much as 48 respondents randomly selected from 160 farmers.  A descriptive analyse and Spearman rank correlation are applied in this study.   The study showed that formal education, farmers' perception of the traditional system of rice farming are correlated significantly to farmer motivation in preserving tradional farming system while non-formal education, the traditional system of farming experience, farm size, number of family members are not.  Factors that correlated significantly to farmer motivation in maintaining local seed is non-formal education, farming experience, while the traditional system of formal education, farmers' perception of traditional rice farming system, farm size, number of family members are not correlated significantly.  Furthermore, the number of family members is merely factor that correlated significantly to the farmers motivation in maintaining once a year plantings while others factors are not correlated. This study empirically investigates the nexus between Casualization and Employee Morale in the Oil industry, using Shell Companies in Nigeria (SCiN) as a case study. The ‘Convenience Sampling Technique’ was used to assess the sample size of 200 employees. Data was analyzed via Spearman Rank Order Correlation Coefficient, with the aid of Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) Version 27. The Findings revealed that: Casualization is significantly related to Employee Morale. It was concluded that all dimensions of the exogenous variable should be encouraged. All of which is to achieve high employee morale. Thus, the study recommends that: Management should allow casual workers access to certain perks and benefits such as: health benefits, performance bonuses, transportation allowances, etc. and they also should be allowed to have a workers' union for collective bargaining, sustained compensation policies, work on reducing stigmatization and focus on improving work conditions in order to achieve ‘high’ employee morale.
