Pedagogical patterns describe teaching ideas that can be applied in different ways in teaching in different disciplines, and for different types of students. They are a tool for sharing experience and good practices between teachers. The use of pedagogical patterns in online learning is a challenge that can be met by using an appropriate software system for learning management. The article proposes a model of educational objects, suitable for software imple-mentation, which we call pedagogical pattern instances, or for short - in-stances. One instance combines specific learning content with additional fea-tures. Learning content can have different “views” that present knowledge in different ways, for example, through text files of presentations, audio or video content, interactive content, etc. Logical categories of characteristics and activities form the “aspects” of the instance, such as methodology, adap-tivity, assessment, etc. The proposed pattern instance model is flexible. It can be expanded with new features and adapted to specific goals and designs. The paper also outlines a conceptual framework of an e-learning software system using the presented model of a pattern instance.

With a mission to enhance the quality of EFL teachers, the Regional English Language Office (RELO) of the U.S. Embassy in Indonesia has conducted a pre-service teacher camp where practical teaching innovations are taught alongside reflective practices and the development of social and intercultural competences. This paper aims to examine how the participants, who are pre-service language teachers, perceived their professional identity as potential EFL educators after attending Camp EPIC and to what extent the program contributed to this process of professional identity formation. The study employed a mixed-methods survey where a total of 45 participants of Camp EPIC 2018 were purposively selected. They were asked to provide descriptions of themselves as teachers before and after the teacher camp, which were then analysed qualitatively using thematic analysis. As for the quantitative data, a set of thirty-three Likert-scale items were examined using Principal Component Analysis (PCA). The triangulated data indicated that the participants’ perception was positively altered after the camp. While some mentioned that they were more resourceful and creative with teaching ideas, others showed a higher level of self-efficacy concerning their competence. These changes could be attributed to four major features of the camp: reflection, feedback, resource exploitation, and collaboration.

To implement the ideological and political teaching concept of curriculum is a key measure to establish morality and cultivate talents in the new era, and also a basic requirement of colleges and universities' original mission of "educating talents for the Party and the country". University mathematics, as a basic subject universally offered in colleges and universities, has advantages in the course of ideological and political teaching, but also has obvious shortcomings. Linear algebra is a compulsory basic course for science and engineering majors, aiming at cultivating students' logical training and abstract thinking ability. This article mainly to the "Linear Algebra" teaching as an example, the first to study the Linear Algebra course ideological education and the advantages of the ideological education into the difficulty in the course, and put forward the linear algebra course ideological education the implementation of the specific methods: update teaching ideas, strengthen the teacher training, teaching methods and build a rich curriculum ideological system of the implementation of the path.

Flipped classroom is not only the flipping of knowledge imparting and knowledge internalization, but also the all-round reform of education concept, teaching content, teaching methods, teaching means and teaching evaluation. Multimodality provides a theoretical perspective and analytical framework for the teaching design of flipped classroom. Multimodality theory fits many characteristics of flipped classroom, which is conducive to giving full play to the advantages of flipped classroom. With the help of multimodal theory and multimodal teaching ideas, this study constructs a flipped classroom teaching mode under the multimodal perspective, which takes the dynamic teaching structure as the core and the open multimodal learning environment as the all-round support, and gives some operational suggestions.

The paper is a reflection on the author’s work with students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate elementary mathematics content and methods courses. Two specific pedagogical issues make up the focus of the paper. The first issue deals with demonstrating to future teachers the diversity of mathematical ideas behind a contextual question asked by a second-grade pupil allowing for multiple solution strategies to be used in addressing the question. The second issue deals with the use of Wolfram Alpha in aiding different mathematical features of this demonstration. The paper is congruous with mathematics teaching standards used across six continents and illustrated by reflective comments of the author’s students regarding their mathematics teacher education experiences. Teaching ideas shared in the paper may be of interest to instructors who want to explore elementary mathematics in depth with teacher candidates.

In order to improve the intelligent effect of English performance rating, this paper analyzes the English performance rating process and builds the corresponding algorithm model based on the wisdom of teaching ideas, and it combines BP spatial network technology with spatial sampling and spatial statistical algorithms to construct the system kernel algorithm. Moreover, this paper extracts students’ English answers through text recognition and compares them with the standard library. Among them, objective questions are mainly scored directly through standard answer comparison, and subjective questions compare student scores with standard answers. In addition, this paper uses a needs analysis to construct the framework of the entire English performance rating system and evaluates the practical effect of the system constructed in the paper through experimental research. According to statistical research data, the English performance rating system in this paper is known to have certain effects.

This case study aimed to clarify the role of the teacher-librarian and the nature of the school library program to pre-service teachers. Nineteen pre-service teachers collaboratively planned curriculum with teacher-librarians in their practicum schools. Data consisted of pre- and post-experience concept maps and interviews with all participants. Results showed pre-service teachers (a) significantly increased their knowledge of collaboration, resource-based learning, and information literacy, and (b) learned that collaboration helps refine and extend their teaching ideas. Teacher-librarians identified flexible scheduling and collaborative culture as conditions for curriculum-based library programs. Authentic experiences with teacher-librarians appear to be a promising means of preparing new teachers as partners.

With the continuous deepening of education reform, more demands are placed on the current teaching. Oboe teaching needs to adapt to the pace of education reform and make certain changes to teaching ideas and methods. While doing basic teaching well, it is necessary to improve the comprehensive quality of students, so that students can meet the needs of social development. Therefore, in teaching, teachers need to innovate existing teaching methods, focus on cultivating students’ comprehensive qualities, improve the overall quality of teaching, and ensure that students can achieve comprehensive development.
