Moreover, extant literature endow with inconsistent and less evidence concerning the relationship of voluntary human capital disclosure with firm value. The present paper proposes and illustrates potential proposition for future empirical investigation in the context of an emerging economy like Bangladesh. It is also expected that the present paper would endow with further knowledge to investors, managers, and other stakeholders to upgrade firm value by means of voluntary human capital disclosure in their corporate reporting practices.

Using a very recent data over the period from 2007 to 2012 (sample period 2001–2012), this study estimates the relationship between ownership structure and earnings predictability in Japanese listed companies. In particular, this study investigates how three important categories of ownership (i.e., domestic institutional, foreign and insider ownership) are associated with earnings predictability in Japanese listed firms. The results show that higher domestic institutional (financial) ownership is associated with greater earnings predictability. The findings support the argument that institutional shareholders especially financial institutions ensure effective monitoring over corporate reporting practices which lead to better earnings quality. In sharp contrast, this study finds that incremental foreign institutional ownership in Japanese listed firms is associated with lower earnings predictability. Such finding is contrary to the oversimplifying assumption that increasing cross-border shareholdings is always associated with better earnings quality. This study demonstrates interesting insights regarding the impact of ownership structure on earnings predictability which surely carry significance for Japanese corporate policymakers and future researchers.

This paper aims to determine the effect of profitability on firm value and the moderation of disclosure of integrated reporting elements in influencing the relationship of profitability with firm value. The sample is representative of each sector using the purposive stratified sampling method. This research is a quantitative study using a sample of 86 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression and processed using the Stata 13 application. The results show that profitability has no effect on the value of the company. Investors still need to consider the information generated from profitability because of the option to put into retained earnings and dividend distribution that will be taken by the company. The other result state that the integrated reporting elements do not affect the relationship of profitability with firm value because the value of information in the disclosure element is not directly related to the financial information (numbers) of a company. Keywords: Profitability; Firm Value; Integrated Reporting.

This study aims to find out explicitly whether good corporate governance is able to moderate the relationship between financial performance and firm value that occurs in companies listed on the Indonesian stock exchange. Research was conducted on food and beverage companies in 2008 - 2017. The 10-year observation period obtained 50 observational data. By using Warppls 6.0 in processing observational data, the results show that financial performance has an influence on the value of the company. This research also proves that good corporate governance proxied by share ownership by company leaders is able to positively moderate the effect of financial performance on firm value, but not for institutional share ownership. In this case it can be said that the greater the dominance of the owner in corporate governance, the more positive the opportunity to obtain financial performance and the firm value becomes easier to achieve.
