Financial distress occurs before the bankruptcy of a company. Thus the financial distress model needs to be developed, because by knowing the company's financial distress from an early age, it is hoped that actions can be taken to anticipate conditions that lead to bankruptcy. Financial distress can be measured through financial statements by analyzing financial statements. This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of liquidity, profitability, financial leverage, and operating cash flow in predicting financial distress conditions for manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2020. Data from the company's official website and completed from the IDX and ICMD websites. There are independent variables, namely liquidity, profitability, financial leverage, and operating cash flow, while the dependent variable in this study is financial distress. The data analysis method used in this research is logistic regression analysis method which aims to determine the role of each independent variable in influencing the dependent variable. The results of this study indicate that liquidity has no effect on financial distress, meaning that if the company is able to pay its debts well, then it is likely that the company will not experience financial distress. Profitability has no effect on financial distress, meaning that the size of the company's profit value has no effect on the company so that it avoids financial distress conditions. Financial leverage has a positive effect on financial distress, meaning that if the company has higher debt and is not followed by high sales results, it can allow failure to pay debts which causes the company to be in financial distress. Cash flow has no effect on financial distress, meaning that if the company has a good operating cash flow value, it will not experience financial distress.

Research background: Various methods for technological progress assessment and evaluation exist in the context of economic development. Each of the methods possesses distinct advantages and disadvantages in analysis of technological progress fluctuations. For most neoclassical growth theories, technological progress measures are included as exogenous variables, thus excluding evaluation of factors influencing technological progress variation throughout time. Purpose of the article: The aim of this article is to offer improvements on classical technological progress evaluation methodologies for manufacturing industries, separating effect of intersectoral technological progress spillover effect from internal factors influencing technological progress growth and perform analysis in the case of Lithuanian manufacturing industry. Methods: Earlier research papers used linear time series regression and vector autoregression methods to assess technological progress values and define equations explaining effect of different manufacturing level indicators on technological progress measure growth. This research paper uses results of previously mentioned methods and performs simulation analysis applying agent-based modelling framework. Findings & value added: The conducted vector autoregression analysis has showed that two variables which influence technological progress most significantly are labor productivity measure and gross profit value. Sensitivity analysis emphasizes that effect of these two variables on technological progress growth is substantially different. Increase in gross profit value affects technological progress growth for wider range of sectors from Lithuanian manufacturing industry (15 out of 18 analyzed sectors? technological progress measure values are affected by changes in gross profit, while changes in labor productivity influence technological progress values in the case of 9 sectors). Rising gross profit values also produce intersectoral technological progress spillover effect more significantly, while growth in labor productivity measure has stronger effect on technological progress fluctuations for sectors which are able to exploit this effect. Presented research suggests improved methodology for intersectoral technological progress spillover effect assessment in the context of manufacturing industries.

This research aims to find out the factors that determine liquidity and profitability as well as the contribution of Sharia banking to the economic growth in Indonesia. The study used quarterly data for the period 2009-2019, a multiple regression model with the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) analysis method. The results revealed that capital, financing and third party funds are factors that determine the liquidity of Sharia banking. Sharia banking profitability is influenced by capital and inflation. The role of Sharia banking on economic growth occurs through financing activities, large capital and utilization of Sharia monetary policy instruments. Efforts to control liquidity at optimal levels can be done by taking into account the capital factors held by Sharia banking. Efforts to achieve maximum value of profitability can be implemented by benefiting price stability in the macroeconomic. Efforts to boost economic growth are carried out by utilizing rising prices and limiting the profit value of Sharia monetary policy instruments. Moreover,  Sharia banking is able to increase the share of financing channeled.

The development of palm sugar into crystalline palm sugar has the potential to be developed in order to substitute white sugar where the fulfillment is still quite a lot imported. Therefore, to increase the food security of sugar, it can be done by utilizing local palm sugar resources. Palm sugar production technology is quite applicable to be applied in rural areas and can be made from palm sap or palm sugar. The introduction of the processing of crystal palm sugar was carried out in the Suka Maju LSPBM Group with the stages of counseling, production skills training, packaging, hygienic production to obtaining a PIRT legality as Health Office permit. The quality of crystal palm sugar produced from several quality parameters was achieved including the water content of crystal palm sugar ranging from 2.38-2.70%, ash content 0.85-0.99%, sugar content 86.72%, yellowish brown color and in the form of crystals or powder. The crystal palm sugar products produced was under the brand name Sehati. The constraint was limitation of marketing because this product at the local level was still known only for the purpose of making cakes, as well as for the more expensive price of white crystal sugar. Need coaching and better links with related network to open up a better market. From the results of the analysis of the business of producing crystal palm sugar, it is feasible to run with a profit value of Rp. 24,007,100,00, the value of BEP was 892 kg, profitability of 0.55 and business efficiency of Return Cost Ratio (R/C) of 1.55

This project uses production data to generate well-specific correlations for GLR, BSW and sand concentration which are used for predictions. A software has been developed to effect a smart control algorithm. This results in a bean up or bean down operation depending on the current flowing conditions and constraints. Excel programming environment was used to write a code that constantly takes in measured data points, models the behavior of the individual data sets with bean size and controls the choke if the parameters of interest go above a predetermined cut-off. The software was also equipped with an inverse matrix solving algorithm that enables it to determine the choke performance constants for any set of initialization data. A set of data from field X were supplied and the choke performance constants; A, B, C, D and E, were found to be 10, 0.546, 0.0, 1.89 and 1.0 respectively. In addition to that, data from subsequent production operations were entered and the software was able to control the choke size to ensure that production stays below set constraints of 500, 80 and 10 in field units for GLR, BSW and sand concentration respectively. From this, it can be concluded that the software can effectively maintain the production of unwanted well effluents below their cut-offs, thereby improving oil production and the overall Net Profit Value (NPV) of a project.
