All mosques need to be equipped with facilities for people with disabilities (PWD) in fulfilling with the requirements of the Malaysian Standard Code of Practice (MS) on Access of Disabled Persons. However, most mosques in Malaysia do not fulfil these requirements in terms of providing facilities for the PWDs. This adversely affects the PWDs to engage in the social and economic mainstream. The research aim is to classify the conformity of disabled facilities provided at Fi-Sabilillah Mosque, Cyberjaya in Selangor. The two research objectives were established (1) to identify the spectrum of disabled facilities provided at the Fi-Sabilillah Mosque, Cyberjaya in Selangor and (2) to determine the compliance of the disabled facilities as outlined in the MS. Purely qualitative methods were adopted in terms of visual study, audit survey and a semi-structured interview with the architect. A condition audit checklist was established using document analysis method on three main documents. The findings indicate 58% of the facilities are available and follow the MS, 13 % items were available but not comply with the standard measurement and 29% of the disabled facilities are not available within the mosque. Therefore, it can be stated that there is poor design, weak enforcement and lack of awareness among the stakeholder, local authority and the designer of the mosque regarding the disabled facilities. Therefore, enforcement is a priority to ensure the needs and right of the disabled user are considered in designing a mosque.

The goal set by the author of the study is to consider the good European practices in the remediation and reuse of Brownfields and on that basis to outline the possibilities for the use of these practices in Bulgaria in order to limit the territorial expansion of settlements (populated places) at the expense of non-urbanized areas. The specific character of the issue under study determines the following research methods as most suitable: the document analysis method; the comparison method; the methods of analysis and synthesis. There are laid down the possibilities for Brownfield reuse in Bulgaria. The reuse of the so-called brownfields combines the advantages of the environmental, the economic and the social development as it results in a more sustainable development of settlements, as well as in reduced reclamation and building up of green areas and non-urbanized land for the erection of new buildings and the development of infrastructure (social as well as technical).

Social studies education emerged in the USA in the 18th century and has come to life in different geographies for about three centuries. Four different programs in the years 1968, 1998, 2005 and 2018 were prepared for the aforementioned subject which has taken part in the curriculum as social studies and has been implemented as an independent course in Turkey since 1968. In this study, four 7th grade social studies textbooks prepared according to different curriculum programs were examined (Akşit and Asal 1973, Şahin and Göze 2000, MEB Commission 2015, Gültekin, Akpınar, Nohutcu, Özerdoğan and Aygün 2019). The books were subjected to content analysis by document analysis method regarding the family. The findings were compared and examined. In general, it was found that the 2019 edition social studies textbook was different from the 1973, 2000 and 2015 edition social studies textbooks in terms of addressing the family. Subjects of History and Geography were predominantly included in the social studies textbooks published in 1973 and 2000. Therefore, the concept of family has mostly been reflected through the context of historical issues. Among the four published textbooks, the 2015 social studies textbook stands out as having the most coverage on democracy and human rights. This book also mentions the concept of domestic democracy. Alongside the shortcomings, many positive aspects have been identified in the 2019 edition 7th grade social studies textbook that is currently being taught in schools. Keywords: Turkey, educational programs, social studies, 7th grade social studies textbook, family, content exchange

Persons with disabilities enter and progress in the labor market much as do other minority group members. However, some have not only to cope with the discriminatory practices of employers but also with problems of self-management which stem directly from their disability. Employers tend to hire the best persons available. They view job applicants as risk carriers, and feel little moral responsibility for their employment. In large measure they are quite satisfied with their hiring policies and practices. Finally, for some disabled persons there may exist a conflict between social and self acceptance because of the social pressure to become what they cannot become non-disabled.

In 2012 Russia ratified the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which provides for the creation of an accessible environment for disabled people, ensuring their rights to work, medical care, education and full participation in public life. This is the fundamental basis on which the social policy of the state in relation to the disabled persons is currently being built. The strategic direction of the social policy of the state is the rehabilitation and habilitation of disabled people, the effectiveness of which depends on the completeness of the study of the epidemiological picture of the spread of disability and the need for various methods of rehabilitation and habilitation in citizens with limited life activity due to violations of the body’s functions. The article presents information characterizing the epidemiological picture of the disability of the population in the Russian Federation, taking into account the main age categories. Data on the total number of disabled people receiving various types of rehabilitation and habilitation services in the Russian Federation are also presented. There are highlighted problematic issues, the solution of which is necessary for the implementation of the social policy of the state.

In the study document analysis and semi-structured interview methods were used for this purpose. A total of 2,065 questions were examined from the examinations prepared by 61 teachers working in 20 different schools in Ortahisar, which is in the central district of Trabzon. The exam questions were examined in terms of the question types commonly used in education, their class levels and their status for creative thinking skills according to their subjects. The SPSS program was used in the analysis of the questions and the findings were presented using frequency and percentage tables and graphs. Interviews with teachers were analyzed by descriptive analysis method. The themes were created from the data obtained from the interview answers. The themes were reflected on the tables according to the frequency of the teachers’ answers. For better understanding of the findings, examples of the teachers’ exam questions and direct quotations from teachers’ answers are given under the tables and graphics. As a result of the research, it was determined that the exam questions prepared by the social studies teachers were inadequate to develop and measure the creative thinking skills of the students.

The article aims to reveal the context of occurrence of ethical dilemmas providing social in-home services. The paper analyses situations experienced by social workers that determine the occurrence of ethical dilemmas in the provision of in-home services. The study involved 6 social workers providing in-home services with the work experience in service provision from 10 to 14 years. The research data collection method is the semi-structured interview. The data obtained in the interviews were analysed using the descriptive analysis method. Analysing the situation of social in-home services recipients it was observed that social in-home services are provided to the elderly, who, because of illnesses or age, are not able to look after themselves at home, who do not get help from relatives or such help is insufficient. It is stated that not all potential clients accept or get social in-home services. The article distinguishes the following factors influencing the occurrence of ethical dilemmas: conflicts of values, the wish of clients or of their relatives to deny the significance and meaningfulness of the services provided, ill-founded requirements of clients and their relatives, derogation of the professional status of the social worker, the conflict between personal and organizational values and the capability of the social security system.
