The present research is conducted on the Chinese corporate sector and raises the basic questions associated with the adoption and implementation of corporate disclosure practices such as SDGs. The sample for this research consisted of 100 Chinese companies, which are listed in the Shanghai Stock Exchange from 2016 to 2018. For this purpose, content analysis is developed. More specifically, a quantitative approach is applied to quantify and identify certain contents or words in the given text. Our results show that Chinese companies seem to be more focused on certain aspects of the UN SDGs at the cost of others, but the overall situation is, at best, not encouraging. The focus of attention of Chinese companies seems to be infrastructure development, industrial innovation, and economic growth, along with the provision of a dignified and respectable working environment, affordable and clean energy, and peace, justice, and strong institutions. The results can be used as guidelines by Chinese companies to determine the actual presence or absence of SDGs implementation inside the process of value creation as an integral part of their practices about corporate disclosure. The main contribution of this research relates to the analysis of the adoption and implementation efforts to report SDGs and the contribution of such reporting towards the fulfillment of the UN Agenda 2030. This can be of interest to researchers working on the given topic. It is of utmost importance for government policymakers and corporate decision-makers, who want to support companies that are contributing towards the achievement and adaptation of SDGs as part of their overall objectives.

The article is devoted to the study of circular economy, its concept; the main circular business-models, their essence and advantages in the practical application based on the analysis of researches of their introduction and use in the world and domestic companies are analyzed; features of the development of circular economy in Ukraine in disclosure of researches of sources of financing of innovative activity and a share of innovative enterprises in general scale are revealed; the expediency of introduction of energy-efficient and energy-saving technologies at the enterprises within the limits of socially responsible production is substantiated. The results of the study showed that the development of the circular economy in Ukraine is at a much lower level compared to the world, due to negative factors such as ignorance of the population and entrepreneurs the necessity of circular economy transition, lack of full and perfect legislation, the unpreparedness of enterprises change in favor of environmental friendliness. However, it is still an enterprise that is ready to act and change by implementing environmental solutions, such as energy-efficient technologies, thus contributing to its competitive position. In the context of the need to move to a circular economy, scientists, politicians, businesses, consumers, public and international organizations are increasingly studying the basic principles and models, as well as their possible implementation and features of use. In addition, both domestic and international companies are trying to be socially responsible and implement energy-efficient technologies that reduce the consumption of energy resources, economic resources, increase the competitiveness of production. This means that both foreign and domestic companies, at the same time, must clearly understand the methods, ways, and opportunities to achieve the most competitive position as a socially responsible enterprise. Therefore, based on examples of implementation of methods and solutions in the field of circular economy in global companies, as well as using their experience, knowledge and skills, Ukrainian companies will be able to achieve at least the same level of social responsibility. However, it should be understood that these actions should be legally protected, which should serve as a regulatory framework developed by the state. Only with such bilateral work can Ukrainian enterprises and Ukraine in general become an example to follow for other countries.

Precast concrete sandwich panels (PCSP) are energy efficient building system that is achieved through an insulation layer created between the concrete wythes. The insulation layer is usually of low bearing strength material making it more applicable for non-structural building systems. Hence, shear connectors are introduced to improve its structural capacity, which subsequently degrades it thermal performance by serving as thermal bridges across the panel. This article review researches of alternative materials and methods used to improve the thermal efficiency as well as reduced the strength loss due to insulation in PCSP. The alternative materials are basalt fibre reinforced polymer (BFRP), carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP), glass fibre reinforced polymer (GFRP), and foam concrete which are selected due to their low thermal conductivity for use in shear connection. While thermal path method has been used to prevent the effect of thermal bridges. Although, some of these materials have successfully achieved the desirable behaviours, however, several undesirable properties such as brittleness, bond slip, the sudden crushing of the panel system, and FRP failure below its ultimate strength were observed. Hence, the practicality of the alternative materials is still questionable despite its higher cost compared to the conventional steel and concrete used in the PCSP system.
