Abstract The paper presents the state-of-the-art on the microwave assisted mechanical rock cutting by presenting actual findings and tendencies in the field in international literature, and the activities performed during the intermediate stage and the results obtained by the team from the University of Petroşani as partner within the ERAMIN-ERANET-MIWACUT research project.

Summary This article is dedicated to the regulae iuris in general, and their role in medieval jurisprudence in particular. After providing a survey of the state-of-the-art literature on regulae and discussions surrounding them, the article provides arguments in support of the thesis that the use of existing regulae and the creation of new ones were an integral part of the method of medieval jurisprudence, itself part of the general medieval dialectical method of reasoning. The article also discloses the parameters and interesting preliminary results of an ongoing research project on regulae iuris in the University of Ghent.

This article presents the main objectives and outcomes of the Interindi research project: “El indigenismo interamericano: instituciones, redes y proyectos para un continente, 1940-1960”. Its most ambitious research objective is to provide a methodological, theoretical and empirical contribution to scientific discussion on indigenismo. After discussing the state of the art in this field, advances are offered for a new broader perspective based on two fundamental aspects: 1) the importance of consulting primary sources to explain indigenismo, and 2) the need to remove the discussion of the indigenous question and indigenismo from the auto-referential context in which it has developed.Key WordsIndigenismo, professional field, inter-American networks.ResumenEste artículo presenta los objetivos y resultados principales del proyecto de investigación Interindi: “El indigenismo interamericano: instituciones, redes y proyectos para un continente, 1940-1960”. Nowadays, there are many well proved, effective processes to solve planning tasks in the field of material handling used advanced calculations forms and software. Unfortunately, most of them are used for individual tasks, so the applicability of their results is limited. The Institute of Logistics of the University of Miskolc has been working on integrated planning of handling machines for decades, where the individual planning tasks have to be solved together in a complex process. The main aim of this paper to give an overview about the state of the art of the planning of material handling, based on a literature review of the Science Direct publication database. As a result of this research we can determine some new direction for the planning of material handling.

The paper presents the background and objectives of a new research project carried out in the field of in situ gas turbine combustion. An extensive literature review highlighting the state-of-the-art in the field is presented. Several possible solutions for the turbine burner are also included. The objectives and the expected original contributions of the projects conclude the paper.

A draft (final version) of an media-neutral as well as both cost-effective and personnel-efficient publications workflow for Open Access (OA) monograph publishing at university presses is presented. The workflow has been developed as a result of the research project Open-Access-Hochschulverlag at the Leipzig University of Applied Sciences, Germany. The aim of the project is to develop a sustainable and adoptable workflow to enable universities to publish their publications as OA and printed books simultaneously in a state-of-the-art way and without any restrictions regarding the license, the variety of formats, print run etc. Up to now, we have defined 17 process groupswith up to 9processes,which a university press has to consider when publishing OA books state-of-the-art. These processes have been shown on the poster (it is the final version of the project, two preliminary versionswerealready published in April and June 2019). The arrangement and the arrows between the processes indicate in which order the processes should be ideally organised by the university presses. Since any university may adapt that workflow individually, it includes several possible ways by which an OA book can be published (see process group Ka or Qe at the poster). The visualisation of the publication workflow represents only a part of the results of our research project. In addition detailed descriptions for each process have been created, which explain a certain process in depth, e.g. who is responsible for it, what time it takes and what it may cost to complete the process. These detailed descriptions will be published elsewhere.

Abstract:: Targeted Radionuclide Therapies (TRTs) based on Auger emitting radionuclides have the potential to deliver extremely selective therapeutic payloads on the cellular level. However, to fully exploit this potential, suitable radionuclides need to be applied in combination with appropriate delivery systems. In this review, we summarize the state-of-the-art in production, purification, chelation and applications of two promising candidates for Targeted Auger Therapy, namely antimony-119 (119Sb) and mercury-197 (197Hg). Both radionuclides have great potential to become efficient tools for TRT. We also highlight our current progress on the production of both radionuclides at TRIUMF and the University of Wisconsin.

AbstractAnswer Set Programming (ASP) is a prominent knowledge representation language with roots in logic programming and non-monotonic reasoning. Biennial ASP competitions are organized in order to furnish challenging benchmark collections and assess the advancement of the state of the art in ASP solving. In this paper, we report on the design and results of the Seventh ASP Competition, jointly organized by the University of Calabria (Italy), the University of Genova (Italy), and the University of Potsdam (Germany), in affiliation with the 14th International Conference on Logic Programming and Non-Monotonic Reasoning (LPNMR 2017).

An overview is given of a stimulating Meeting held at the University of Nottingham in June 2003 focusing on molecular interactions occurring in membranes or ‘2D’ and those occurring in aqueous solution or ‘3D’. It was held jointly between the Biochemical Society and the British Biophysical Society. The 80 or so delegates who attended benefitted from an exciting exchange of ideas between researchers from a wide spectrum of backgrounds. It is hoped the collection of papers which follow this Introductory paper will provide a useful summary of the state of the art and help stimulate collaboration across the wide range of disciplines represented.
