Abstract The research of new active and intelligent features has shown huge potential to optimise the supply chain and enhance consumer consciousness of food utilisation. The paper deals with the evaluation of the perception of intelligent packaging in Slovakia as ecological innovations through the Kano model. It focuses on to analysis the perception of different intelligent packaging features. The results indicate that customers‟ awareness of intelligent packaging is still at a very low level in Slovakia.

There is increasing concern about implementation failures in six sigma concept in supply chain management. The reason for many Six Sigma programmes to fail is due to an implementation model. Using a successful Six Sigma concept in an industry we have to perform strategic analysis driven by the market and the customer. It is necessary to establish a high- level, cross-functional team to drive the improvement initiative and to identify overall improvement tools. We can perform high-level process mapping and prioritize improvement opportunities. We have to develop a detailed plan for low-level improvement teams, and then to implement, document, and revise as necessary. This is important for both practitioners and academicians.

The research aims to identify the limitations and expectations of producers, transport companies, distributors and retailers in introducing intelligent packaging into supply chains of food products on the market of the Western Balkans. The limitations and benefits from the use of intelligent packaging have been identified in transportation, storage, operations of physical handling and display of food products at the place of their final purchase. The results have shown that there are significant differences in terms of limitations affecting the implementation of intelligent packaging into business operations of supply chains, bearing in mind the business type, number of employees, available capital and integrated standards into business operations. In contrast to this, the results point that there are no significant differences in terms of benefits that the analysed entities expect from introducing intelligent packaging into their systems. A set of measures and incentives have been defined for the competent institutions and food supply chain management to take, in order to minimize the restrictions and advance the implementation of intelligent packaging. The proposals and suggestions for further research are stated in the paper.

In recent years the customers, local communities, international organizations, government agencies and other stakeholders have put pressure on the world of business for environmental protection. The aim of the study is to determine to what extent enterprises have re-evaluated the approach to management in the supply chain towards “green” activities. The research was conducted among entities registered in Poland. The study, among other things, established that most frequent activities are those implemented in the area of product policy, while the least frequent activities are those implemented in the line of producer-supplier activities. This may indicate a low level of development of green chains and an easier way to enforce green behaviour from entities from the upper section of the supply chain.

In this paper, we study the impacts of overconfidence in a competitive retailer setting of green fashion. We model a green fashion supply chain comprising one unbiased manufacturer and two biased retailers, to explore how overconfidence affects greenness level of fashion products and expected profit of retailers. An overconfident retailer has a cognitive bias in which it believes consumers are more sensitive to greenness of fashion products than it really is. Our findings show that the competition between two retailers discourages greenness level of fashion products, while overconfidence can provide a counterbalance to the negative impact caused by competition. We also find, a retailer's overconfidence is not only conducive to the greenness level of its own fashion products, but also can benefit to its rival. Moreover, it shows a low level of overconfidence can be a comparative advantage of the retailer's profit. Even though one of the retailers is unbiased and has an advantage of information, it can still earn less than its overconfident rival.

<strong>Abstract</strong> - Two Indonesian companies, namely PT PAL and PT. Daya Radar Utama (DRU), have been given the tasks by the Government of Indonesia to produce several warships for the Indonesian Navy. The Government has also issued a policy in the field of defense industry, which among others regulates matters related to the procurement of the TNI’s main weapon systems. This research is intended to examine the impacts of the policy on the operations and supply chain strategies of PT PAL and PT DRU in producing warships. By using descriptive qualitative analysis method, the Researcher analyzed empirical data obtained in the field research supported by several theories, namely theory of strategy, theory of operations and supply chain strategy, theory of public policy, and theory of self-sufficient. From the analysis, there are several findings. The policies have given a certain level of positive impacts on the industries, such as: the improvement of cooperations among them, the improvement of manufacturing process due to the product’s standardization, the improvement of self-reliance level of the industries, and the capability improvement of the companies due to cooperation with foreign parties. However, the policies still give negative impacts to the companies, such as: the low level application of the supply chain management, low level use of the domestic materials and ship’s components, and the low level of fair competition among domestic defense industries.<br /><strong>Keywords</strong>: operation strategy, supply chain, warship, PT PAL, PT DRU, Navy, Government of Indonesia, defense industry policy.

This paper discusses the targets and evaluation standards for suppliers selection, and sets a evaluation mode, combined entropy weight and TOPSIS model. The basic idea of this model is use entropy weight to confirm the weight of each evaluated index, and then ensure the most suitable supplier through TOPSIS model that close to ideal matrix, so as to well avoid the subjectivity assured by low level and multi-factors. The paper introduces this model into detailed practical cases, which aims to state that the combination of entropy weight and TOPSIS model is a very efficient method for suppliers’ selection in supply chain evaluation system.

Although fog computing-based logistic supply chain management (Fog computing-based LSCM) is an emerging technology that proved a high impact on services and products, little research has focused on fog computing-based LSCM. Drawing on the Kano model and organization's theory this paper investigates the effect of fog computing-based LSCM on organizational agility. And the role of user satisfaction as mediator between fog computing-based LSCM and organizational agility. A quantitative approach was used, a questionnaire was designed for data collection, Cronbach's Alpha test was performed on a pilot study to examine the internal consistency of questionnaire items. Fog computing-based LSCM was studied based on Supply chain awareness, Connectivity and Logistics, Integration Process, Seamless Supply Chain, Integration of Processes. Data was collected from a random sample of 550 employees of Al-Hassan industrial city‎ in Jordan. Building on the proposed model, Researchers show that fog computing-based LSCM has a positive impact on organizational agility, fog computing-based LSCM has a positive impact on user satisfaction and finally user satisfaction mediates the relationship between fog computing-based LSCM and organizational agility. Implications for the model are discussed.

The implementation of bioeconomy principles in all sectors is essential in seeking to achieve Sustainable Development Goals. Innovation in the packaging industry can be considered as one of the key sectors in this approach. The study deals with the evaluation of the perception of intelligent packaging in Slovakia as ecological innovations through the Kano model. The results indicate that customer awareness of intelligent packaging as ecological innovation in the context bioeconomy is still at a low level in Slovakia. Hdgdgdsgowever, from the point of view of intelligent packaging, Slovak customers represent a key element of stakeholders for the management of innovation processes towards bioeconomy criteria.

The preservation of perishable products to maintain their quality is of paramount importance for food safety and security, and is attracting more attention due to increasing concerns regarding food quality, healthcare, and quality of life. Advances in technology and materials in recent years have led to the development and implementation of intelligent packaging for perishable products that can monitor or even control their quality in a supply chain. In this paper, the techniques used in intelligent packaging (i.e., indicators, sensors, and identification technology) and the major printing methods for fabricating electronics (i.e., inkjet printing, screen printing, and gravure printing) are reviewed with a focus on the packaging of perishable products. Although the high manufacturing costs pose a major challenge the commercialization and large-scale deployment of perishable products, it is expected that the technological progresses in printing electronics will significantly reduce the manufacturing cost of intelligent packaging to a threshold of acceptance by markets. In addition, the broad applications of intelligent packaging can facilitate the traction and monitoring of perishable products for better control of the product quality and improved management of the supply chain.
