The study examined the use of quality teaching and learning resources and how these affect the teaching and learning of Integrated Science. A total of 172 randomly selected second year Senior High School (SHS) students and 25 Integrated Science teachers purposively sampled served as the subjects for the study within six districts in the Central Region of Ghana. Questionnaires were used to collect the students’ and teachers' needed data. This study's key findings revealed a lack of teaching and learning materials and the stereotyped nature of Integrated Science teachers' methods of teaching. It was noted that access, selection and usage of good and quality teaching and learning materials and methods influenced learning outcomes of students in SHS Integrated Science. However, it was observed that both government and private school teachers used similar teaching methods in delivering the Integrated Science content. It was concluded that for successful teaching and learning of Integrated Science, the challenges should be addressed by SHS education stakeholders. As a result, the paper recommended possible solutions that would ameliorate the challenges hindering the teaching and learning of Integrated Science.

Uncertainty is ubiquitous in engineering, but it is not taught in most of engineering courses. One of the major problems is the lack of proper teaching materials. The objective of this project is to create an Engineering Repository with teaching and learning materials so that they can be adopted in various engineering courses. We at first discuss the basics of uncertainty and the need of uncertainty education. We then report the current status of the development of the Engineering Repository and its use in classes of Dynamics and Probabilistic Engineering Design. Several examples of the Engineering Repository are also presented.

This article discusses the plan to implement the Quranic Arabic Corpus for the development of Arabic syntax teaching and learning materials (TLM), especially at the university level. The study explores an alternative Arabic syntax TLM development by utilizing a corpus, one of the most important linguistic research resources. In recent years, corpora have been widely utilized in developing teaching materials. The Quranic Arabic Corpus is beneficial not just in terms of additional references or examples, but also in facilitating grammatical understanding and discussion. The highly adequate syntactic annotations recorded in this corpus can also be used to discover and explore the syntactic analysis of every word in the Quran, so that it can be easily implemented in the analysis, examples of each chapter, or section of the discussions in Arabic syntax. Based on the analysis of this corpus’s content and its relevance with the existing Arabic syntax teaching materials, it is shown that this corpus can be incorporated as a supplement of Arabic syntax TLM. The following six steps should be followed to utilize this corpus in Arabic Syntax learning: (1) prepare the necessary tools, (2) select learning materials, (3) determine keywords, (4) access QAC, (5) search for keywords in QAC, and (6) select search results and proceed with the syntactic analysis. Keywords: Arabic syntax, linguistic corpus, Quranic Arabic corpus, teaching and learning materials

This research was conducted in order to create EVE, an electronic game that can be used to teach and learn vocabularies. The objectives of this research is to see whether EVE can be used to teach vocabulary to elementary school students as a supplementary teaching media. This research takes the form of developmental research. This developmental research was performed in order to create new teaching materials. The research method consists of four phases: analyzing, designing, developing, and implementing also known as ADDI method. Several vocabulary materials from different books and sources were combined with the Hot Potatoes application for teaching vocabularies to complete the designed product. The EVE was created for approximately 50 minutes in teaching and learning period. The completed research was implemented with 11 elementary students from different schools. To sum it up, the researcher found that EVE is usable for teaching vocabulary to elementary level students especially in gaining students’ interest and motivate students to learn vocabulary in more pleasing way.
