Numbered Heads Together (NHT) is a teaching approach that promotes students' involvement in group discussion. This article reports a classroom action research conducted to improve students’ learning acievement in fractions at Grade V SDN 2 Banda Aceh. The participants were students of Class VA which consisted of 34 students, 22 boys and 12 girls. The research was conducted in 2 cycles, each consisted of 4 classroom meetings. The procedure of the research involved four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research questions covered students’ learning activities, students’ learning outcomes, and students’ responses on the implementation of NHT in the teaching of fractions. Results show that there were improvements in students’ learning activity from the average score of 2,57 in cycle 1 to 3,04 in cycle 2. Students’ learning outcomes improved from the average score of 66,30 in cycle 1 to 75,38 in cycle 2. Students’ responses in cycle 1 was 82,35% positive and increased to 88,24% in cycle 2. These results imply that the implementation of NHT is beneficial for students’ learning.

This study aimed at finding out how the cultural model of berasanan and its implementation in civics learning, as well as knowing how the cultural model of berasanan can increase learning motivation in Secondary School class VII. A South Indralaya. The research was classroom action research (CAR) which done in two cycles. The first cycle was conducted three times and the second cycle was held twice. The subjects of this study were 29 students. The steps of each cycle include planning, action, observation, evaluation and reflection. The data were collected by using test, questionnaire, observation sheet, and documentation methods. The results of the study showed that students’ learning motivation experienced an increase in the learning process from cycle one to the second cycle. Students’ attention during the learning process, cooperation in working on group assignments, students’ participation, and courage to think showed that learning activities are increased. Negative activities of students’ learning civics were asking permission to go to the bathroom. This change showed that the interest and enthusiasm of students’ learning was increased and learning was more effective and enjoyable. Achievement of students’ learning outcomes also showed an increase, students’ learning from the first cycle of 75% increased to 86.2% in the second cycle.

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui cara menerapkan Model Active Learning Start With A Question sehingga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pokok bahasan segiempat dan segitiga. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek Penelitian ini adalah 22 siswa kelas VIIB SMP Negeri 6 Kota Bengkulu semester genap tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah adalah lembar observasi aktivitas siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa yang dilakukan dengan cara membentuk kelompok diskusi yang heterogen, menggunakan bahan ajar berupa handout, membimbing untuk mengambil andil tugas kegiatan kelompok, dan memberikan motivasi dan apresiasi berupa nilai plus dan pujian. Peningkatan aktivitas belajar dapat dilihat dari rata-rata skor pada lembar observasi aktivitas belajar siswa siklus I sampai siklus III secara berturut-turut: 14 (kriteria kurang); 20,375 (kriteria cukup); 26,5 (kriteria baik).Kata kunci: Aktivitas Belajar, Model Active Learning Start With A Question AbstractThis study aims to find out how to apply Active Learning Start With A Question Models so as to improve learning outcomes of mathematics on the topics of rectangle and triangle. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subject of this research is 22 students of class VII B SMP Negeri 6 Bengkulu City even semester of 2017/2018 academic year. The instrument used is activity observation sheets. The results showed that there was an improvement in the student's learning activities by forming heterogeneous discussion groups, using handout as assistance, guiding them to take on the task of group activities, and providing motivation and appreciation in the form of plus values and praise. The improvement of learning activity can be seen from the average score on the observation sheets of student learning activities from cycle I to cycle III respectively: 14 (less criteria); 20,375 (sufficient criteria); 26,5 (good criteria). Improving sociology learning outcomes throuhg group discussion method of the Eleventh Grade Students of SMAN 12 of Makassar. This research aimed to know improving sociology learning outcomes through group discussion method of the Eleventh Grade Students of SMAN 12 Makassar. The type of research was Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consists of two cycles; each cycle was held during four times. Research procedure include planning, action, observation and reflection. Subject of the research was the eleventh grade students of SMAN 12 of Makassar. The result of research showed that after applying group discussion method of sociology learning of the eleventh grade student of SMAN 12 Makasar that from cycle I to cycle II there was improving of students' learning outcomes. For the cycle I, there were 2 students (6,67%) who had low category, there were 14 students (46,67%) who had moderate category, there were 12 students (40%) who had high category and there were 2 students (6,6%) who had very category. While for cycle II students learning outcomes increased, there were 17 students (56,67%) who had high category amd there were 13 students (43,33%) who had very high category. This class action research aims to enhance the learning outcomes of the 6th graders of SD Negeri 6 Mataram in their science lesson by corporating Science KIT in teaching and learning activities inside the classroom. The research was conducted in 2 cycles, each of which included 4 different steps, namely, Planning, Action, Observation, and Reflection. After the research, it is shown that the average learning outcomes and classical completeness for the first cycle are 84,7 and 84%, while the average learning outcomes and classical completeness for the second cycle are 88,4 and 94% respectively. This thus shows an improvement in the students’ learning outcomes, especially related to electrical and thermal energy. This conclusion is drawn after looking at the fact that 94% of the students score more than 75 in the test. This result is only obtained after the science KIT has already been applied in Science Lesson inside the classroom.

The purpose of this research are: (1) To increase student learning activity on Civic subject by using Inside-Outside Circle model. (2) To improve learning outcomes by using Inside-Outside Circle technique. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR). Implementation carried out as much as 2 cycles, each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were the fourth grade students of SDN 101768 Tembung. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observations and tests. The results show that the use of Inside-Outside Circle model can increase student activity and learning result which is seen from the increase of active participation of students in group discussion, ability to identify learning with Inside-Outside Circle model. Improved learning process is able to increase student learning activities. The liveliness of students in asking before action 14,81%, in cycle I is 37,2%, in cycle II is 81,45%. The activity of students in answering questions before action 7.4%, in the first cycle is 37.03%, the second cycle is 74.07%. Student activity in attitude before action of 7,4%, in cycle I is 44,4%, in cycle II is 74,07%. Activity of student in doing problem independently before action 37,03%, in cycle I is 55,5%, in cycle II is 74,07%. Value of PKN student learning outcomes before action is only 31.25% with an average score of 56.5 while in cycle I, the value of student learning outcomes increased to 62.5% with a mean score of 70.31. In the second cycle the value of student learning outcomes that reach KKM is 81.25% with an average value of 74.06.

This study aims to improve the students’  activities and learning outcomes in grade 3 of  Public Elementary School 24 in Luak Bayau  Sulit Air  Kecamatan X Koto Diatas Kabupaten Solok. This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK)  that is an improvement in the learning process. In doing so, the study consisted of two cycles. Each cycle was held two meetings consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection of each meeting. Results of the data analysis show that the using of the skill process approach can improve the student’s activities and thematic learning outcomes in the student’s crafts themed in grade 3 SD Negeri 06 Sulit Air Rawang. So that the learning activities of students in the first cycle with student’s average score of 66.7 (standard qualification), increased in the second cycle is on student’s average with 84.3 (good qualifying). On the other side, the learning outcomes of students in the first cycle with an average of 75.6  (good qualifying), also increased in the second cycle is the average score of 84.2 (better qualifying).

This research is a classroom action research (PTK) which aims to increase physical activity and learning outcomes of students of class VII SMPN 5 Jonggat in academic year 2015/2016 by applying the model-aided Discovery Learning with simple props. Classroom action research consists of four stages, that are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection, while the implementation of the model of Discovery Learning aided with simple props was done through six stages, that are stimulation, problem identification, datacollectingby using props simple, data processing, verification and conclusion. This research was done in two cycles. Based on the result of research that had been done, obtained theaverage score of student learning activities in first cycle in the first and second meeting were 8.8 in sufficient active category and 12 in the active category. The evaluation results in first cycle obtained average grade reaches 60 with classical completeness 73%. In second cycle,the average score of student learning activity in the first and second meeting were 16.6 and 18, with both of them are in the very active category. The average results of students in the second cycle increased to 68 and 85% of classical completeness. Based on the results of the research, it could be concluded that the application of the model-aided Discovery Learning with simple props can increase the activity and learning result of students of class VII SMPN 5 Jonggat in academic year 2015/2016.

This research was classroom action research that implemented of bounded inquiry lab model assisted by macromedia flash to improve learning outcomes and scientific attitudes. This research method used the design model Kemmis and Mc Taggart which in class action research conducted with 2 cycles for one cycle of research there were 4 phases include planning, action, observation and reflection. The results of applying the bounded inquiry lab model assisted by macromedia flash to improve learning outcomes of the largest percentage cycle I, namely the medium category with a percentage score of 52% and a decrease in value of 4% from 25 In the second cycle, the average score was 32%, spread in three categories, namely medium, low, decreased and there was also no increased. students' scientific attitudes from cycle I to cycle II students were measured through observation of activities based on aspects of scientific attitudes and student response questionnaires. The average increased that occured from each aspect is 10%, with the average percentage of the overall indicator is 60%.

This study aims to describe students’ activities and their learning outcomes using make a match type of cooperative learning model in learning hiwar. This research is a classroom action research consisting of two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation and reflection. Data were collected through observation and then analyzed by using descriptive qualitative technique. The results of the data analysis indicate that make a match type can increase the activity and learning achievement of class X MAS Plus Padang Ganting students. The relevancy of students’ activities and learning activities in cycle II is increased for about 23.11%, and the unrelevancy of students’ activities and learning activities is decreased for about 16.26% in cycle II. While, students’ understanding about hiwar is increased 13.33%, and learning completeness is also increased 20.86% in cycle II.

This study aims to determine (1) increased activity, and (2) student entrepreneurship learning outcomes through the implementation of the cooperative learning model type TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) in class XI Multimedia students of SMK Negeri 1 Sakra. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles with the stages of each cycle including planning, action, observation and evaluation, and reflection. Learning activity data collected by the method of observation and learning outcome data collected through the test method. Data collected was analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that, (1) the implementation of the TAI type of cooperative learning model can increase the learning activities of students as indicated by the average score of learning activities in the first cycle of 33.5 with the category of active enough and then increased to 39.25 with the active category in the cycle II. (2) Implementation of the TAI type of cooperative learning model can improve student learning outcomes as indicated by an average score of learning outcomes in the first cycle of 77.12 with sufficient categories subsequently increased to 89.35 with very good categories in the second cycle.
