This research is aimed to investigate whether or not female EFL students' ability in speaking skill is better than male students. It deals with the hypothesis that mentions female students are better than male students in speaking skill. The method applied is the descriptive quantitative approach in which ten male and ten female students of the first grade of one of the high schools in Banda Aceh, Indonesia, become randomly the samples. The speaking test is done in order to collect the data and it is conducted to identify the male and female ability in English speaking skill, especially in the five aspects of speaking skill: pronunciation, grammar, fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary. The results show that the females actually dominate the higher scores in all aspects of speaking, however, the mean scores of male and female students are relatively similar, female students reach 68.5 while male students reach 63.3. The t-test is lower than t-table (-1.671.72), which means that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) of this study is rejected and the null hypothesis (Ho) is accepted. Therefore, it can be inferred that the first-grade female students of the high school under study have better performance in speaking skill than the male students, despite the difference is trivial.

This research stems from the writer’s curiosity about the difference of spatial intelligence between male and female students in SMA YPK Medan. The purpose of this research was to describe data of the difference of spatial intelligence between male and female students. This research was a comparative causal research. The sample of this research were 65 students of SMA YPK Medan, which consisted of 32 were female students and 33 were male students. Data to be collected in this research was the data of student’s spatial intelligence which were grouped, i.e. the data of female students spatial intelligence and the data of male students spatial intelligence. The data were collected then analyzed by independent samples t-test in SPSS program. From result of SPSS obtained data Sig 0,02 < 0,05. Based on the result of data analysis could be conluded that there were the difference of spatial intelligence between male and female students in SMA YPK Medan. The average spatial intelligence of male students were 27,06 higher than the average spatial intelligence of female students were 26,76. The aims of this study were: (1) to identify an increase in students' understanding of the value of mutual cooperation through the use of reader response rules in Indonesian Language Learning (KRPDPBI); (2) identifying the use of the reader response principle in Indonesian Language learning (KRPDPBI) there are differences between male and female students. The design of this study used a quasi-experimental study with two different methods. The results showed that (1) the achievement of the score of understanding the value of mutual cooperation for students taught by KRPDPBI was better than for students taught by regular learning according to the curriculum; (2) the achievement of the understanding of the value of male students' mutual cooperation is no better than that of female students.

The purpose of the study is to investigate the interaction among Physical Activity Levels (PAL), academic successes, perceived academic competency and Motor Skills (MS) of male and female students at the age of 14-17 in terms of gender variable. The PALs, perceived academic competency and academic successes were determined through International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), Academic Competency Scale and General Academic Averages respectively. MS were tested by sit-and-reach flexibility, vertical jump, hand grip strenght and back and leg strength tests. After the data were entered into the SPSS 16,0 program, paired t-test was done in order to determine the difference between genders. Also, the interaction among PAL, academic success, academic competency and MS of male and female students were analysed through Pearson correlation analysis. As a result, it was found out that parameters related to the PAL and strength of male students are higher than those of female ones while female students’ academic success levels are better than those of male students. In addition, while no significant relation between academic success and PAL was found, a positive relation was determined the academic success and perceived academic competency of both genders.

Verbal-Linguistic Intelligence and Kinesthetic-Body Intelligence are important for students to have at an early age. The purpose of this study is to see improvement in Verbal-Linguistic and Kinesthetic-Body Intelligence through Instagram-assisted Scientific Approaches. The study used a pre-experimental method with one group pretest-posttest design on the thematic learning of my hobby topic. Determination of the sample by purposive sampling technique. Participants consisted of 15 male students and 12 female students in first-grade elementary school in Purwakarta Regency. Measurement through observation and documentation to observe and record the activities of students' verbal-linguistic and kinesthetic intelligence. Research shows an increase in Verbal-Linguistic and Kinesthetic-Body Intelligence is in the medium category with n-gain values of 0.59 and 0.56, and an increase in Verbal-Linguistic and Kinesthetic-Body Intelligence after learning with a more scientific-assisted Instagram approach significantly better than before being treated with sig. 0,000<0.05. The use of Instagram shows students enthusiastic about expressing their hobbies.
This study aimed to analyse the difference in the mathematical thinking abilities of Informatics Engineering students based on gender in Calculus problem-solving. Mathematical thinking ability was measured based on four indicators of the mathematical thinking process, namely specialisation, generalising, conjecturing, and convincing. The instruments in this study were mathematical thinking tests and observation sheets. The test used in this study was composed of four questions by indicators of the mathematical thinking process. The technique of data collection was the test, observation, and interview. Subjects of this study consisted of 35 male students and 22 female students. Data were analysed using the t-test. The results of the analysis showed that there is a significant difference in the mathematical thinking ability of male and female students. Mathematical thinking abilities of female students reached indicators of specialisation, generalising, and conjecturing. On the other hand, mathematical thinking abilities of male students passed the elements of speciality and generalising.
