This article aims to reveal the genealogy of the International Conservation NGO towards the establishment of the Ambel-Ma'ya tribal conservation area so that the Ma'yalibit Bay conservation area in Raja Ampat is formed as well as a departure station for the establishment of other conservation areas in Raja Ampat. The research approach uses a Cultural Studies approach with descriptive qualitative research methods and slices of theory used, namely, the genealogy of practice and power from Michel Foucault. The results showed that before international conservation NGOs operated in Raja Ampat, they recruited actors and agents who were recruited from intellectuals of the Ma'ya indigenous peoples' institutions and religious and traditional leaders. Conservation NGOs act as captains as well as organic intellectuals and traditional intellectuals for the Ambel-Ma'ya tribe in the Ma'yalibit Bay of Raja Ampat acting as sea commanders in the boat of conservation ideology. Conservation NGOs are hiding behind the discourse of knowledge about high marine tropical biodiversity and the threat of its degradation as a result of the fishing behavior of fishermen who are not environmentally friendly, becoming the basis for discourse on knowledge, articulation and practice of language texts and capital of power to carry out discursive practices in the formation of conservation areas on tribal waters stage. This article examines our on-going attempts to operationalise a critical qualitative research approach – drifting, which we have adopted from the feminist collective Precarias a la deriva, – in order to conduct research with people who have arrived in Finland as asylum seekers and refugees, as well as with the civic activists who work by their side. Our research focuses on the everyday bordering practices that exclude asylum seekers and refugees, and the activities of de-bordering. The article claims that drifting combines the advantages of mobile research methods with the critical and collective praxis of activist research, which allows the upsurge of non-hegemonic knowledge. Drifting holds great promise for exploring everyday borders and their consequences, which usually remain hidden to the majority of native residents. In drifting, the injustices that occur at borders within countries in Europe are not only exposed for research and the wider public, but they are also challenged with research-based interventions.

Preaching the gospel by Western mission organizations has given rise to a unique encounter between missionaries and indigenous peoples where they preach the gospel. The problem that arises then is the lack of research into what this encounter is and what it means for church life today. The author examines the encounter of evangelists from de Christelijke Gereformeerde Kerken (CGK) in the Netherlands with the Toraja Mamasa community, especially the To Salu tribe with qualitative research methods by relying on library research and mission history archives in Mamasa. Also conducted interviews with traditional and church leaders in Mamasa. The author found that the encounter between the two evangelists with the To Salu tribe had resulted in a missionary attitude and insight and certain theological characteristics which were then inherent in the history of the Toraja Mamasa Church (GTM) which was the fruit of the CGK evangelism. The author's thesis statement: "The attitude and insight and style of the theology of Bikker and Gelijnse, namely the pattern of Dutch Calvinist theology, then colored the theological features of the Mamasa Toraja Church in the course of its ministry in the context of Toraja Mamasa to the present.”Pemberitaan Injil oleh organisasi misi Barat telah melahirkan pertemuan unik antara misionaris dan masyarakat adat di mana mereka memberitakan Injil.

The present article focuses on the use of information technology in education in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, analyzing the sustainability of online learning methods, as reflected in students’ attitude towards the researched topic. The paper aims to raise awareness about the importance of sustainability in education, despite challenges and changes which may occur in our society. Based on an inductive research approach, qualitative research methods (e.g. the questionnaire) are used in the present paper, according to the modern trend of using qualitative research methods in the field of economic papers. The research approach is interdisciplinary, considering aspects of economics, sociology and psychology. The research findings illustrate the fact that on a short-term basis, online learning may be implemented in universities with success, but on a long-term basis, a hybrid system based on blended learning must be designed in order to ensure sustainability in education. The research may have a social impact beyond academia, as it relates to sustainability in education
