En este artículo se describen los hallazgos de la investigación titulada “Caracterización de estudiantes exitosos: Una aproximación al aprendizaje de las Ciencias Naturales”, resumidos en tres componentes imbricados entre sí: componentes motivacionales intrínsecos, motivacionales extrínsecos, y características y estrategias de aprendizaje. La investigación se desarrolló desde un paradigma interpretativo, bajo el método fenomenológico; empleando técnicas como observación, entrevista a profundidad y grupo focal. Como muestra teórico estructural no estadística se seleccionaron intencionalmente diez estudiantes con rendimientos académicos sobresalientes de la Institución Educativa Técnica Alberto Pumarejo de Malambo, Colombia. Los procesos de categorización y microanálisis permitieron que emergieran no sólo estos  tres componentes, sino también comprender la autorregulación como un fenómeno multidimensional y contextualizado, empleado por los estudiantes para tener éxito. Finalmente se prioriza sobre las actuaciones de los docentes en el uso de estrategias creativas y diversas que fomenten y desarrollen actitudes metacognitivas y autorregulatorias en los estudiantes.Characterization of successful students: An approach to the learning of the Natural SciencesAbstractThis article describes the findings of the research entitled “Characterization of successful students: An approach to the learning of the Natural Sciences”, summarized in three components interwoven with each other: intrinsic motivational components, extrinsic motivational, and learning characteristics and strategies. The research was developed from an interpretative paradigm, under the phenomenological method, using techniques such as observation, in-depth interview and focus group. As a non-statistical structural theoretical sample, ten students with outstanding academic performance of the Alberto Pumarejo Technical Educational Institution of Malambo, Colombia were intentionally selected. The processes of categorization and microanalysis allowed to emerge not only these three components, but to understand self-regulation as a multidimensional and contextualized phenomenon, used by students to be successful. AbstrakTren penggunaan sistem digital berbasis internet merupakan salah satu karakteristik kehadiran era revolusi industri ke empat. Adanya kesenjangan digital khususnya di Indonesia menjadi permasalahan tersendiri. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menggali sejauhmana pengalaman partisipan terhadap penggunaan sistem digital berbasis internet di lingkungan kerja dan pendidikan; dan mengetahui harapan individu bagi pengembangan penggunaan sistem digital berbasis internet di masa yang akan datang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi  yang fokus pada esensi pemahaman tentang pengalaman individu. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara mendalam kepada 2 orang partisipan dan jajak pendapat pertanyaan setengah terbuka (open-ended quesionnaire) kepada 41 orang partisipan baik di lingkungan kerja maupun instansi pendidikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengalaman positif dan negatif dalam menggunakan sistem digital berbasis internet. Kondisi ini dipengaruhi oleh besarnya keinginan menggunakan sistem digital berbasis internet yang tidak diingiri dengan optimalisasi penerapan sistem teknikal dan kemampuan dalam literasi digital.  AbstractThe trend of the application of internet-based digital system is one of the characteristics of the emergence of the fourth industrial revolution era. The presence of digital gap especially in Indonesia has become a particular issue. This research is aimed to discover how far the experiences of participants regarding the utilization of internet-based digital system for in work and education environments; and to discover the hopes of individuals for future development of internet-based digital system. This research was using qualitative approach through phenomenological method which focused on the essence of understanding regarding individual experiences. Data were collected through depth interview towards 2 participants and open-ended questionnaire towards 41 participants either in work environment or educational institution. The research results have indicated that there are positive and negative experiences in the application of internet-based digital system. Positive experiences occur from high benefits which acquired from the application of internet-based digital system. While negative experiences occur from the high desire to use internet-based digital system which not adjusted to the optimization of technical system implementation, the policy digital system application and the capability in digital literacy. These condition become the hope of individuals for internet-based digital system in the future.

Penelitian ini hanya sampai pada hasil rancangan instrument (kuesioner) untuk mengukur kesiapan (readiness) mahasiswa baru untuk implementasi e-learning Universitas Stikubank Semarang. Dasar dari perancanngan kuesioner adalah adanya  hal-hal penting dalam untuk mendapatkan informasi penting tentang kesiapan mahasiswa baru untuk implementasi e-learning Universitas. Untuk menghasilkan instrumen pengukur kesiapan e-learning yang sesuai harus dipahami terlebih dahulu konsep e-learning, kesiapan e-learning, dan penilaian kesiapan e-learning (e-learning readiness assessment). Konsep elearning yang diterapkan saat ini di Universitas Sikubank yaitu proses penyampaian materi kuliah yang meliputi penempatan materi dan interaksi antara dosen dan mahasiswa melalui Internet, yang difasilitasi oleh suatu learning management system (LMS) yang berbasis Web. Berangkat dari konsep e-learning yang diterapkan, maka dibuat studi eksploratori untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang menentukan kesiapan e-learning mahasiswa. Agar peneliti bisa mendapatkan pemahaman lebih jauh mengenai suatu masalah dan faktor-factor utama penentunya, dapat dilakukan penelitian yang bersifat kualitatif. Penelitian kualitatif bersifat eksploratori, tidak terstruktur, dan berdasar pada sampel yang kecil. Penelitian ini dapat dilakukan dengan mendayagunakan teknik seperti focus group (wawancara berkelompok), word association (bertanya pada responden untuk mengindikasikan respon pertama mereka pada kata-kata stimulus yang disampaikan), dan depth interview (wawancara satu-satu untuk mengetahui pikiran responden secara detil). Hasil dari suatu studi yang bersifat eksploratori sebaiknya diikuti oleh penelitian eksploratori lain atau oleh penelitian yang bersifat konklusif. Dalam studi eksploratori yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini, teknik yang digunakan adalah Wawancara (interview).Tujuan utamanya adalah mendapatkan pengertian mendalam akan hal yang menjadi minat peneliti dengan mendengarkan sekelompok orang yang relevan dengan minat tersebut. Langkah untuk menjalankan wawancara adalah menentukan sasaran atau pertanyaan yang harus dijawab. Dalam hal ini, sasaran wawancara adalah harus dapat mengidentifikasi pandangan mahasiswa mengenai e-learning, kondisi kesiapan e-learning, dan beberapa instrument pengukur kesiapannya. Dari hasil tersebut terlihat bahwa Pada mahasiswa, faktor yang dianggap mempengaruhi kesiapan mahasiswa adalah kemampuan komputer mahasiswa, fasilitas yang disediakan universitas, dan kekuatan motivasi mahasiswa menggunakan Learning Managemen System.

Traditional (age 23 and under) and nontraditional (age 25 and over) full-time undergraduates were assessed on five personal dimensions, two learning dimensions, and two collegiate goals (GPA and career decidedness). Multiple regression assessed which dimensions predicted the two collegiate goals. Significant predictors were generally the same for both traditional and nontraditional students. Academic efficacy, self-regulation, and social support were positive predictors of GPA. Career decisionmaking self-efficacy and social support were positive predictors of career decidedness. Nontraditional students and females had higher GPAs and greater decidedness. Academic performance and career development were seen as concurrent but largely separate processes.

It includes women’s stories which capture the challenges they faced, their resistance and aspiration for change. The study also looks at men’s perception of women’s political participation. The study uses a feminist perspective with qualitative methods. Tools such as in-depth interview, focus group discussions and observations were used to gather data and information.

This paper shows a tool for the analysis of written productions that allows for the characterization of the mathematical models that students develop when solving modeling tasks. For this purpose, different conceptualizations of mathematical models in education are discussed, paying special attention to the evidence that characterizes a school model. The discussion leads to the consideration of three components, which constitute the main categories of the proposed tool: the real system to be modeled, its mathematization and the representations used to express both. These categories and the corresponding analysis procedure are explained and illustrated through two working examples, which expose the value of the tool in establishing the foci of analysis when investigating school models, and thus, suggest modeling skills. The connection of this tool with other approaches to educational research on mathematical modeling is also discussed.

Currently, in Colombia, different problems in education exist; one of them is the inconvenience in tracing and controlling the learning trajectories that decide the topics taught in the country’s educational institutions. This work aims to implement a logic-based system that allows teachers and educational institutions to carry out a continuous monitoring process of students’ academic performance, facilitating early corrections of errors or failures in teaching methods, to promote educational support spaces within the educational institution.

Drawing on the reciprocal determinism of self-regulation system, a process-based model is used to examine the relationship of learning goal orientation (LGO) among university students with their academic performance, via reciprocal relationships between initial status and change trajectories in academic self-efficacy and feedback-seeking behaviors. A longitudinal study of 316 Chinese university students throughout their first year in college reveals that students who have high LGO in their first month after entering the university generally have higher academic self-efficacy and seek more feedback. Moreover, initial levels of feedback seeking are positively related to academic performance via linear change in academic self-efficacy over time. Limitations of the study and practical implications are discussed.
