Characterization of successful students: An approach to the learning of the Natural SciencesAbstractThis article describes the findings of the research entitled “Characterization of successful students: An approach to the learning of the Natural Sciences”, summarized in three components interwoven with each other: intrinsic motivational components, extrinsic motivational, and learning characteristics and strategies. The research was developed from an interpretative paradigm, under the phenomenological method, using techniques such as observation, in-depth interview and focus group. As a non-statistical structural theoretical sample, ten students with outstanding academic performance of the Alberto Pumarejo Technical Educational Institution of Malambo, Colombia were intentionally selected. The processes of categorization and microanalysis allowed to emerge not only these three components, but to understand self-regulation as a multidimensional and contextualized phenomenon, used by students to be successful. Finally, it is prioritized on the actions of teachers in the use of creative and diverse strategies that promote and develop metacognitive and self-regulatory attitudes in students.Recibido: 19 de diciembre de 2016Aceptado: 05 de junio de 2017

The fourth industrial revolution has a significant impact on the transformation of the labor market - changing professions, approaches to work. Today, the success of a company depends on the ability of its employees to use technology, first of all, to do it creatively and innovatively. This article analyzes how staffs of companies feel the impact of the new industrial revolution, what skills are needed to adapt in the context of digital business transformation, are linear office workers ready for technological transformations in companies, and do they have the necessary skills. It is concluded that among the general skills there will grow a need for uniquely human abilities, such as emotional intelligence, creativity, sociability, etc. The importance of technical knowledge is growing: the ability to work effectively with software, programming, general digital literacy. If the conditional part of “soft” skills is developed among staffs at a sufficient level today, then technical abilities are of concern. In general, in order to create a successful and competitive workforce, companies need to act in two directions - to form training and monitoring systems of skills and knowledge in accordance with the needs of the market, as well as to promote the ideas of "lifelong learning", that is, continuously independent selfeducation.

In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, technological change is also transforming the labour market. Technological and structural unemployment is simultaneously present in the economy, as well as the labour shortage causes many problems for the firms. The labour market has to respond to both demographic and technological change, while workers’ expectations and workers’ preferences are transformed in the digital era. The biggest fear in the new technological era is related to robots, which generate the loss of jobs because they can substitute human resources in an efficient way. Technological changes typically threaten lower-skilled workers doing routine tasks, while the need for a high-skilled workforce combined with creativity is increasing. This asymmetry of training already appeared in the earlier industrial revolution, but nowadays digital literacy, as well as the technological knowledge necessary for the operation of machines and equipment, are becoming a basic skill, so new competence requirements are formulated for the employees. In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, not only robots cause problems in the global labour market, but also international trends that cause major transformation in both the supply and demand side of the labour market. Effective labour market adaptation to technological change can be the key to competitiveness in the new technological era. This research aims to provide a short analysis of the differences in the European labour market in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The labour demand and supply will be analysed in order to highlight the main tendencies related to the qualitative features of labour market in the new technological era.
