Fields "X" is an old field in the South East Sumatra Block. The area was developed using ten platforms. One main problems on this field is the disruption of some wells productivity due to flow constraints in the piping network. The objective of this paper is to evaluate the pipeline network for area "X1" using simulation model. The simulation results show that there are bottlenecking and backpressure problems in the network. By fixing the problems, total oil production in this area can be increased up to 19 percent or 1,006.2 BOPD higer than initial condition.

Developing a steady operation of gas and condensate value chain is an important task to maintain stable productions of oil & gas industries. In this regard, PETRONAS continues to improve its production facilities by utilizing process modelling and simulation via Symmetry iCON® as one of its main engineering tools. In this work, Symmetry iCON® pipe network solver was used to build a dynamic simulation model for gas and condensate pipeline network in Malaysian Peninsular region. One-month data of December 2018 has been used to validate the model. Then it was utilized to predict the data in January 2019 to further evaluate the applicability of the model. Some valuable observations included the significance of properties estimation of a pseudo component of C6+ in terms of thermodynamic and transport properties. Due to lack of data monitoring of the condensate in some terminals, this property estimation became very crucial while at the same time difficult to validate. Nonetheless, the model can predict the data within the range of error of 4-6%. In the future, when more data is available, the properties can be easily tuned to better represent the reality.

The V-shaped electro-thermal MEMS actuator model, with the human error factor taken into account, is presented in this paper through the cascading ANSYS simulation model and the Fuzzy mathematics calculation model. The Fuzzy mathematics calculation model introduces the human error factor into the MEMS actuator model by using the BP neural network, which effectively reduces the error between ANSYS simulation results and experimental results to less than 1%. Meanwhile, the V-shaped electro-thermal MEMS actuator model, with the human error factor included, will become more accurate as the database of the V-shaped electro-thermal actuator model grows.

To improve the regulating characteristics of impact energy, simplify structure of hydraulic hammer, a new pulse modulation hydraulic hammer is presented in the paper which can help regulate its impact frequency easily. The motion equations of the hydraulic hammer are established, its simulation model is obtained and the dynamic simulation is carried out on AMESim. The dynamics of high-speed ON/OFF valve is taken into account in the simulation model. The tendency of simulation results conforms to experimental results; it shows that the pulse modulation hydraulic hammer is feasible, and the hydraulic hammer model is reasonable. The time delay in high working frequency is also analyzed.

The heating in the running-in process of wet friction clutch is the key to research in this kind of products. In this paper, based on the shifting clutch composed of metal and paper-based friction liner, using MATLAB/SIMULINK software, the simulation model of friction clutch and the analysis model of conducting heat were established. Thus, the corresponding relationships were obtained, which were the total friction power and clutch temperature variation with the time during the running-in process. According to the simulation results, the main influencing factors on temperature control of wet friction clutch were analyzed during running-in process, and the results could provide reference for reasonable temperature rise control for the clutch.

This paper presents the simulation model of Dual Magnetodiode and Dual Schottky Magnetodiode using Sentaurus TCAD to simulate the virtual structure of magneto device and apply Hall Effect to measure magnetic field response of the device. Firstly, we use the program to simulate the magnetodiode with p-type semiconductor and aluminum anode and measure electrical properties and magnetic field sensitivity. Simulation results show that sensitivity of Dual Schottky magnetodiode is higher than that of Dual magnetodiode.

The driving theory and the dynamic characteristics of small radius steering, medium radius steering and big radius steering is analyzed, and the simulation model is established under Matlab/Simulink. Then the track bulldozers steering performance of the three sheerings is simulated. The results show that, at different steering modes, the running states of the two sides driving motors are not the same, and the track driving forces of the two sides vary widely. The track driving force is great in the small radius steering model, while small in the medium and big radius steering models. The simulation results lay the foundation for dual-motor drive track bulldozers steering performance matching.

Abstract Field development planning of gas condensate fields using numerical simulation has many aspects to consider that may lead to a significant impact on production optimization. An important aspect is to account for the effects of network constraints and process plant operating conditions through an integrated asset model. This model should honor proper representation of the fluid within the reservoir, through the wells and up to the network and facility. Obaiyed is one of the biggest onshore gas field in Egypt, it is a highly heterogeneous gas condensate field located in the western desert of Egypt with more than 100 wells. Three initial condensate gas ratios are existing based on early PVT samples and production testing. The initial CGRs as follows;160, 115 and 42 STB/MMSCF. With continuous pressure depletion, the produced hydrocarbon composition stream changes, causing a deviation between the design parameters and the operating parameters of the equipment within the process plant, resulting in a decrease in the recovery of liquid condensate. Therefore, the facility engineers demand a dynamic update of a detailed composition stream to optimize the system and achieve greater economic value. The best way to obtain this compositional stream is by using a fully compositional integrated asset model. Utilizing a fully compositional model in Obaiyed is challenging, computationally expensive, and impractical, especially during the history match of the reservoir numerical model. In this paper, a case study for Obaiyed field is presented in which we used an alternative integrated asset modeling approach comprising a modified black-oil (MBO) that results in significant timesaving in the full-field reservoir simulation model. We then used a proper de-lumping scheme to convert the modified black oil tables into as many components as required by the surface network and process plant facility. The results of proposed approach are compared with a fully compositional approach for validity check. The results clearly identified the system bottlenecks. The model can be used to propose the best tie-in location of future wells in addition to providing first-pass flow assurance indications throughout the field's life and under different network configurations. The model enabled the facility engineers to keep the conditions of the surface facility within the optimized operating envelope throughout the field's lifetime.
