The aim of the research is to determine the effectiveness of cognitive restructuring techniques to increase learning motivation in students of State Islamic Junior High School 6 Bantul. The type of research is experimental research. The research design uses quasi-experiment. The design uses Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The research population was 8th grade students of State Islamic Junior High School 6 Bantul, amounting to 149 students. The sampling technique in the research used purposive sampling. The criteria for determining the sample in the research are students of State Islamic Junior High School 6 Bantul at 8th grade which indicated to have low learning motivation. The data collection method uses a scale of learning motivation that has gone through validation processes. Data analysis using non-parametric statistics with the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results showed that there were differences in the results of the experimental group's learning motivation before (M=72.17) and after (111.67) the treatment was given (p=0.027<0.05). These results can be concluded that cognitive restructuring techniques are effective to increase students learning motivation.

This study used quasi experimental research. The population of the research was the eighth grade of a Junior High School in Wonosari in the academic year of 2013/2014. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. The sample in this study was 64 students covering 32 students of E as experimental class and 32 students of C as control class. The data or the students’ writing scores were analyzed in terms of their frequency distribution, normality, homogeneity, then ANOVA and Tuckey tests to test the research hypotheses. Based on the result, the research findings are: CWS is more effective than MWS in writing lesson; the high creativity students produced better writing rather than the low creativity student; and the interaction of teaching methods and the students’ creativity is existing in this writing lesson. In short, Collaborative Writing Strategy (CWS) is effective to teach writing for the eighth grade of a Junior High School in Wonosari, Gunungkidul. The study employed a quantitative approach with Two-Group Design. The population consisted of six classes. We took a sample of two classes, VII-C as the experimental group and VII-D as the control group. Samples were determined using cluster sampling techniques. Based on the writer’s observation, some teachers in Junior High School Tegal still used the conventional technique in teaching especially in teaching reading, in fact, reading is very difficult to teach in Junior High School because a lack of vocabulary made the students’ motivation declined in reading. The result of the study revealed the use of Anagram was effective in teaching and learning reading. It happened since in Anagram implementation the students as the participants and the teacher as the facilitator. This situation was suited to the curriculum 2013 in which it concerned students oriented. Besides the students had fun and enjoyed reading because they teach each other, it easy to known students’ lack and need by Anagram Games, students trained to dare to ask and give their opinion especially in leaning reading which has many words and paragraphs. This method is easier, useful and flexible for the teacher to apply because of no need for a lot of time, media, realia and place. So, this study gives recommendations for teachers and students to implement this method.

This study aims to determine the effect of using thread media on students’ perspective drawing result. The population in this study were all the works of class VII students of junior high school Methodist Kabanjahe totaling 180 works from 90 students. Sampling using cluster random sampling technique, obtained a research sample, namely class VII-MATIUS, two stages of action were given, namely initial sampling with the teaching-learning process using image media. Then after that the second sampling was carried out with the teaching and learning process using thread media. Data collection methods used include documentation, observation and testing methods. This research is a quantitative research design with a quasi-experimental research design (Quasi-Experimental Design). Based on the results of the study, the first test score average was 81,37 and the second test score was 89,29. The results of the mean difference test show that the average of the second value is better than the first value. Based on the results of hypothesiss testing with a significance of α=0,5 with dk 58 obtained < = 1,9811. So the results of the hypothesis testing obtained tcount 5,72 >ttable1,9811. So Ho is accepted as well as rejected by Ha, then the conclusion is that there is an influence between the use of thread media on learning outcomes of perspective drawing in VII grade students of junior high school Methodist Kabanjahe.
