Abstract Several records of associated fauna, including parasitoids, inquilines, predators, and successors, have been reported by insect gall inventories in Brazilian restingas. Although most guilds are well established, inquilines have frequently been misinterpreted. In this paper, the inquilinous fauna of insect galls is revised based on five criteria: food habit; coexistence with the inducer; modification of gall tissues or production of new tissues; phylogenetic relationship with the inducer; and mobility. Gall inventories dated from 1988 to 2019 were examined, totaling 16 publications, eight of them with inquiline records. This guild was reported in 53 gall morphotypes in 44 plant species and four morphospecies distributed among 36 genera of 24 host families for a total of 65 records. Most inquilines were repositioned into the cecidophage guild and others into the kleptoparasite guild, resulting in a large reduction in the frequency of inquilines (from 65 to five records), and in first reports of cecidophages and kleptoparasites, with 46 and 13 records, respectively. Cecidophage was the most diverse guild with insects of five orders (Diptera, Coleoptera, Lepidoptera, Hemiptera, and Thysanoptera) while kleptoparasites were represented only by two orders (Diptera and Hymenoptera) and inquiline solely by Hymenoptera. Other results indicate that Leptothorax sp. (Formicidae) could be a successor and not an inquiline.

Abstract Following the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident in 2011, tissue samples from wild boar (Sus scrofa) outside the evacuation zone (difficult-to-return zone, DRZ) tended to show high concentrations of cesium-137 (137Cs). Understanding the 137Cs dynamics of wild boar populations inside the DRZ is necessary because they affect 137Cs dynamics and wild boar management in areas outside the DRZ. Since few detailed, long-term studies have been conducted inside the DRZ, we measured 137Cs concentrations in 221 wild boar muscle samples obtained from wild boar caught inside the DRZ and surrounding areas over a five-year period. Our results showed that the 137Cs concentration in wild boar from inside the DRZ were higher than those in wild boar outside this zone. No significant difference was observed between muscle and soil 137Cs levels, but significant correlations were observed between muscle 137Cs concentrations and body length and body weight in the low-concentration season, but not between all seasons and the high-concentration seasons. It is considered that the size effects observed during the low-concentration season may be due to factors related to metabolism and changes in food habit. This is the first long-term survey of 137Cs in wild boar inside the DRZ.

Mycobiota is not only associated with healthy homeostasis in the human gut but also helps to adapt to the environment. Food habits, alcohol consumption, intake of probiotics, and contaminated food with a mycotoxin, often lead to the alteration in the mycobiota composition. Impaired immunity of the host may affect fungal symbiosis leading to mycosis. The human gut adapts to the commensalism fungi belonging to the phylum Ascomycota and Basidiomycota. Diet habits such as plant-or animal-based, phytoestrogens enriched plant products, fat-rich diets also influence the colonization of certain fungal species in the mammalian gut. Food habits or mycotoxin-contaminated food or fungal peptides have an impact on bacterial-fungal interaction and human health. The mycobiota population such as Fusarium, Humicola, Aspergillus, and Candida are altered due to alcohol intake in alcoholic liver disease. The role of associated gut mycobiota due to irregular bowel habits or lifestyle change has been observed in inflammatory bowel disease. In this review, it has been observed that Saccharomyces, Aspergillus, Fusarium, Cladosporium, Candida, and Malassezia were the common genus in the human mycobiota. Therefore, this study focused on how diet habits and alcohol intake, among others., influence mycobiota composition that may affect the human immune system or overall health.

ABSTRACT There is a big difference between male and female in the rural environment of Bangladesh and the aim of this eating habits and nutritional status. The study was conducted through 384 respondents from 9 villages in Ishwardi, Pabna; a north-western district of Bangladesh. The research has done on the food habits of the middle and lower class people of the villages. And some informations are collected from the different sources. In the research 73.44% of male earn more than 24 thousand BDT per month when only 43.32% female are earning more than 24 thousand BDT. Most of the female are housewives and male are service holder. 44.79% male  are service holder on the other hand 4.69% female are service holder. Rice is the main food for Bangladesh. So, most of the people have rice on daily three times. 37.80% of female and 66.98% of male are having rice. Ruti is the second priority food, female take this food 0.56% and male take 7.55% for 2 days. 63.33% female take egg, on the other hand 58.07% male take egg per week.  3.2% female her meal last of all and 1.5% female take it first of all. On the other hand 6.25% male take their meal first of all and 3.39% male take their meal last of all. Most of the female are normal having BMI 89.06% on the other hand male are overweight 78.18%. In the light of the study the eating habits of male and female in Bangladesh have improved but it has not yet affected everyone.

Health care has become very much concern to each individual and the family too. Health care in the Easter years has been a house hold, where consumption of food itself was thought of as a health care, however, handy medicines were available in the home to take care of simple and manageable illness, for severe sickness people used to go the doctors for treatment, as of now food habit among the people is changing, most prefer to take fast foods, packed foods, etc, which are harmful to the health of the people, this often leads to sickness which are very much costly some sickness needs hospitalization, some with intensive care, etc. Mushroom growth of medical clinics, hospitals and dispensaries is being seen in today's' scenario. Growing demand for modern medical care, brought on by a rapidly, expanding population, rising literacy levels, and technological advancement lead to high expectation from the health services. This has shifted demand in favour of health care

We analyzed the concentrations of zinc, copper, and lead in the muscle of two commercially important finfish species namely, Pampus argenteus and Scatophagus argus in and around the World Heritage site of Indian Sundarbans from 8th to 15th July 2021 using an Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer. The sequence of bioaccumulation of the selected metals is as per the order Zn > Cu > Pb irrespective of the species. The degree of metal accumulation showed variation between the species with the highest value in Scatophagus argus followed by Pampus argenteus, which may be related to the difference in their food habit or degree of exposure to ambient media contaminated with heavy metals.

"Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food,” as said by Hippocrates nearly 2,500 years ago, is receiving renewed interest in the health enhancing role of specific foods or physiologically-active food components, so-called functional foods (Hasler,1998).The urbanization has a strong adverse effect on the dietary pattern in old age women who are lacking awareness about functional food.The awareness on functional foods is very use full in old age women who have clinical diseases.Thus,the current study is targeted on educating old age women which will have an effect on food habit for better health.The teaching aid used in the awareness is a colorful leaflet.The awareness on functional foods among women educated were evaluated through questionnaire before and after the leaflet distribution and the results were statistically analyzed. Context:To promote better health and to help reduce the risk of diseases through the emerging fields of functional foods and nutraceuticals as a concept of nutrition,this originated in Japan.To emphasis on the Hippocrates saying,"Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food". The purpose of this study was to aware people regarding consumption of functional food to improve their lifestyle.To identify the need for information related to functional foods among older women (40-60 years old) and to assess awareness and perceptions of health claims on self-made functional food. Study Design:The Pre-test and post-test study was planned to evaluate the awareness of functional foods among old age women who were suffering with clinical diseases in Bhopal city of Madhya Pradesh. Results:The mean scores obtained by the selected women on the awareness on functional foods before and after leaflet demonstration was found significant in Pair t -test. Conclusions: The attempt to distribute a leaflet was observed to be a beneficial tool in inculcating awareness since majority of the participants changed their dietary pattern as they have changed their routine breakfast.

: According to World health organization, health is a complete state of physical, mental and social well being. Various factors are responsible for good health. One of the important contributors of good health is type of food consumed by the people. To assess the demographic and socio economic factors affecting the food habit and to assess the food pattern and nutritional status prevalent in working adults of Veraval city.: 141 adults working in government or non government sectors we arerandomly selected from urban Veraval. Pre tested semi structured questionnaire was used to elicit information on Area,TypesofFamily,Types ofEmployer,Gender, Detailed FoodPattern,Medical history and Nutritional and health status of working adults. Mean age range of the sample of (N=141) was found to be 43 years. According to social category it was found that majority of the sample was OBC (48.2%) followed by General (28.4%), SC (12.1%) and ST (11.3%). percent of the population were doing Government jobs followed by 35.5 % Non-Government Jobs among them only 2.1 % were servant and housewife. 30 percent of the sample were found to have Normal (18.9-22.9 kg/m) BMI as well as 33.3% were obese (≥25kg/m). Twenty three percent of them were overweight (23-24.9 kg/m) and only 11.3% were underweight (≤18.5 kg/m). None of the sample was having the history of Heart related problems, Cancer and Asthma. Fifty nine percent of the sample was vegetarian. Fifty two percent of the sample was consuming meal 3 times a day. Conclusion: Dual Burden of Mal Nutrition was found in working adults of Veraval urban. Also their dietary practices were poor. There need for sensitization of people in workplace setting on healthy diets.
