Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemahaman, pemaknaan serta pengalaman wartawan televisi pada saat peliputan kerusuhan Aksi 22 Mei. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori fenomenologi Alfred Schutz. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan menggunakan paradigma konstuktivis dengan metode studi fenomenologi. Informan dalam penelitian ini merupakan wartawan televisi INews TV, Net TV, Kompas TV, RTV, Jawa Pos TV, TVOne, dan CNN Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukan,bahwa wartawan televisi memahami peliputan kerusuhan Aksi 22 Mei yaitu definisi peliputan kerusuhan Aksi 22 Mei, etika peliputan kerusuhan dan posisi peliputan wartawan. Wartawan televisi juga memaknai peliputan kerusuhan Aksi 22 Mei yaitu pentingnya peran wartawan televisi dan mendahulukan humanisme. Berdasarkan pengalamannya yaitu adanya hambatan peliputan, intimidasi dan diskriminasi serta keselamatan peliputan. This study aims to determine the understanding, interpretation, and experience of television reporters during the rioting of the May 22 Action. The theory used is Alfred Schutz's phenomenology theory. This research uses a qualitative approach and uses a constructivist paradigm with phenomenological study methods. The informants in this study were television reporters from INews TV, Net TV, Kompas TV, RTV, Jawa Pos TV, TVOne, and CNN Indonesia. This study concludes that television journalists understand the May 22 riots coverage, namely the definition of May 22 riots coverage, the ethics of riot reporting, and the position of journalists covering. Television reporters also interpreted the reporting of the May 22 riots, namely the importance of the role of television journalists and prioritizing humanism. Based on his experience, there are barriers to coverage, intimidation, and discrimination, as well as safety of coverage.

靈言與教會認同:聲音在塑造一個中國五旬節-靈恩基督教派 中所扮演的角色 摘要 靈言或說靈言是五旬節-靈恩基督教的主要特徵之一。有些語言學者卻認為靈言在音韻學上不符合邏輯,在語意學上也無意義,因此無法成為有效的溝通媒介。正統基督教則因為說靈言在儀式上有失莊重或根本打亂教會秩序而嗤之以鼻。本文不同意這樣的觀點,主張說靈言在形塑一個五旬節-靈恩基督教會的認同上,扮演相當關鍵的角色。靈言的聲音對於圈外人可能聽覺上感到刺耳,但對於信仰者而言聽來卻具撫慰與和諧特質,功能在賦予說靈言者一種特別的存在模式,也將他們整合成一個同質性的群體。為論證此一觀點,本文在理論方面擷取 Lawrence E. Sullivan 有關「聲音」與「語言」互為對比的說法,也採用 Alfred Schütz 所提「調入」與「內在時間」的見解。為說明起見,本文以真耶穌教會的靈言現象作為具體實例。

Background Domestic violence is a global public health issue, as it is in Brazil. The psychological violence is one of the most prevalent forms of domestic violence, affecting more women than men. However, many older adults do not consider it as a type of domestic violence. In addiction, psychological violence has received little attention from researchers. So, this study aims to further understand the phenomenon of psychological domestic violence perpetrated by relatives against older adult women (60 years and older). Methods A qualitative study was conducted using a social phenomenological approach proposed by Alfred Schütz. In-depth interviews were conducted with 11 older Brazilian women from three different agencies, two in Campina Grande and one in São Bernardo do Campo. Data collection took place between November 2012 and February 2013. We performed data analysis using the key concepts (such as the world of everyday life, natural attitude, intersubjetivity, stock of knowledge, biographical situation, social action, motivation and typification) proposed by Alfred Schutz. Results Despite the fact that participants reported being psychologically abused, they also referred to being neglected and financially abused. They revealed being threatened, disrespected, neglected, financially abused, forced to do housework, and humiliated. Older women expressed feelings of sadness, anger, grief, and fear, which had negative effects on their health. Attempts by the participants to change their current situations were unsuccessful and resulted in feelings of helplessness. The abuser’s behaviour will change, and leaving the abusive situation were two possible outcomes pointed for participants. Conclusions A support network is crucial to help changing the behaviour of aggressors and/or to help older adult women leave the abusive situation. Further research is needed to understand the risk factors linked to abuse behaviours, to develop educational programs for the abusers, and to design social support for the victims.

El artículo expone la interpretación y ampliación realizada por Embree respecto de las ideas de Schutz sobre las ciencias de la cultura. Se ocupa en primer lugar de las características generales de todas las ciencias de la cultura en su tarea de analizar el mundo de la vida como un mundo intersubjetivo e histórico estructurado de acuerdo con coasociados, contemporáneos, predecesores y sucesores. Luego examina los tres partes constituyentes principales que Embree destaca en cada una de ellas: la definición de la disciplina, sus conceptos básicos y sus reglas de procedimiento. Por último, se consideran los puntos de vista de Embree sobre la relación entre metodología y filosofía. Su tesis es que científicos y filósofos pueden encontrarse en una interacción mutua en el ámbito de la teoría de la ciencia que puede ser a la vez filosófica y científica.The article is a presentation of Embree’s interpretation and development of Alfred ideas on the cultural sciences. It deals first with the general characteristics of all cultural sciences in their task of analyzing the lifeworld as an intersubjective and historical world structured according to consociates, contemporaries, predecessors, and successors. Then it examines the three main constituent parts that Embree highlights in each of them: the definition of the discipline, its basic concepts, and its rules of procedure. Finally, Embree’s views on the relationship between methodology and philosophy are considered. His thesis is that scientists and philosophers can meet in a mutual interplay in the realm of a theory of science that can be both philosophic and scientific.

Purpose This study aims to empirically investigate the role of learning for suppliers of individualized customizations from a communication perspective. Design/methodology/approach Five companies providing individualized customizations are investigated through an in-depth qualitative approach. The empirical material is based on data from five presentations in one workshop and seven interviews. Findings Four important categories of communication processes between suppliers and customers that stimulate learning were identified: the identification and confirmation of existing knowledge, the identification of knowledge gaps and the creation of new knowledge, the definition of relations and procedures and evaluation and learning. Practical implications These findings can help suppliers of individualized customizations become aware of the important role of organizational learning in their day-to-day operations and the value of improving as a learning organization. Originality/value This cross-disciplinary study brings together organizational learning and customization research. It is a study that focuses on communication in customization tasks as a base for learning.

Abstract Throughout about three decades of incessant research, the Austrian phenomenologist Alfred Schutz tried to specify the concept of meaning presented in an insufficient way by Max Weber in his famous definition of subjective action. Quickly, Schutz exceeded the methodological questions related with the foundation of Social Sciences, developing an elaborated reflection on the relations between Communication and Society. Along this text, are presented some particularly significant moments of this intellectual journey, such as the schtuzian reflection on intersubjectivity; the question of communication as condition of possibility of the life-world, and, finally, the analysis of appresentational reference and the set of linguistic artefacts (marks, indications, signs and symbols) that allows man to deal with the experience of transcendence.

Tourism has the potential to contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agreed to by United Nations member states. For sustainable tourism to be successful, stakeholders must be involved in the process. The aim of this study is to consider the extent to which sustainable tourism contributes to achieving the SDGs and how tourism stakeholders understand and implement sustainable tourism. Specifically, the study adopted a qualitative approach and used the case study of Tobago. The data were collected using focus groups of tourism stakeholders. The research revealed that stakeholders embraced the SDGs despite a lack of understanding. They were unable to provide a comprehensive definition of sustainable tourism and their relation to the SDGs, but recognised its traditional components along with specific island features. Stakeholders more easily listed sustainable tourism practices and potential and their link to the SDGs. The barriers to sustainable tourism centred mainly on the role of the local governing body and political affiliation, dependency on the mainland, and prohibitive costs. Action is needed to facilitate broader stakeholder awareness and collaboration in support of efforts to enhance sustainable tourism and the achievement of the SDGs, where policymakers need to act as a catalyst for change.

AbstractLudwik Fleck and Alfred Schutz each wrote groundbreaking treatises in the 1930s that laid the foundation for their views on the role of science education in establishing trust in science. This essay examines how science education was for Fleck explicitly and for Schutz implicitly a crucial site for understanding the social dimensions of knowledge, for understanding how layers of knowledge are socially distributed among groups, and for conceptualizing how different cognitive groups, from experts to laypersons—communicate with one another in a democratic exchange of information. Their vision of the role of science education in establishing trust is particularly appropriate for addressing contemporary challenges to science and its results.

"Clown children" is a new entertainment for Medan City residents, especially children. This phenomenon arose along with the Covid-19 pandemic and was mostly played by young children on the pretext of hoping for people's compassion, to be precise as of August 2020. Even though before the Covid-19 pandemic there were already "clowns" on the streets, but there were more characters. adults. Various factors led to the emergence of "clown children" with the role of young children in Medan. This paper aims to analyze the phenomenon of the emergence of "clown children" in the Covid-19 era in Medan, which is played by early childhood, which is researched using a qualitative approach using phenomenological study methods. Data were collected by means of interview, observation and document review techniques. Furthermore, data reduction, data display or presentation and drawing conclusions are performed as a form of data analysis. The results of this study indicate that the “clown boy” played by early childhood children on the streets of Medan is caused by 3 (three) factors, namely making money, helping parents and filling spare time due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
