The objective of this research was to determine the response pattern (multiple drop-down / selection menu) suitable for use in the design of constructional electronic tests. To achieve the research objective, the researcher designed and produced a structured learning program, The experiment was conducted on a sample of students in the first grade of secondary school in Jeddah (60) students for the academic year 1437-1438. The random sample was divided into two experimental groups: the first group (the drop-down response pattern group), the second group Except The results showed no statistically significant differences at (0.05) between the mean scores of the group (drop-down response) and the selection response group The results of the research presented a number of recommendations, the most important being the ability to rely on any of the two types of response that were used in the research and proved the effectiveness of the development of knowledge achievement in the design of electronic tests.

Background: Resilience is one of the factors that can prevent psychological problems among young people and adolescents. The purpose of the present study was to design and explain a psychological resilience model based on the feeling of social support through hardiness among high school students in Sari, Iran. Materials and Methods: The present descriptive-correlational study was carried out on a total of 280 first-grade students in the high schools of Sari selected using multistage cluster sampling. Resilience questionnaire, social support questionnaire, and problem-solving questionnaire were employed for data collection. The Pearson’s correlation coefficient and structural equation modeling were utilized to analyze the data using SPSS.22 and AMOS.22. Results: The mean age values of the male and female students were reported as 13.4±2.4 and 13.8±2.5 years, respectively. The obtained results of the current study showed that there was a positive relationship between social support with resilience and hardiness. Hardiness also mediated the relationship between social support and resilience. Among the components of social support, the most influential factor was related to family support, and the most effective factor in resilience was the notion of competence and acceptance of love. In addition, the most effective factor in hardiness was the component of commitment. Conclusion: The results of the present study revealed that hardiness and resilience increased with the enhancement of social support. The impact of social support on resilience also increased partially as a result of increased hardiness.

Vocabulary is a knowledge of words and word meanings. To increase the student’s vocabulary, the writer chosen game. A game is an alternative way to teach. One of the alternative games is a charades game. So, based on it the aim of this study is to investigate the effect of charades game toward student’s vocabulary. This study was conducted at the first-grade students of SMPN 18 Mataram in academic year 2017/2018. This study used a quasi-experimental design that is used pre-test and post-test control group design. The population of study involved 40 students from two classes SMPN 18 Mataram in academic year 2017/2018. The writer took all of the students as a sample, and they are 20 students belong to the experimental group and 20 students in the control group. In this study, the writer used the vocabulary test consists of 20 items multiple choice covered with the indicator of vocabulary consist of spelling, pronunciation, and meaning. The result of this study, the students could understand spelling, pronunciation, and meaning and they could answer the test vocabulary easily through charades game. In this data, pre-test, and post-test as the research technique of data collection, then followed by analyzing the data using the t-test formula. The level of significance is at 0, 05%, t-test = 2,99 and t-table= 2,02, Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and Null Hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. It means that there was a significant difference between the student's pre-test and post-test scores. Thus, the writer concludes that the charades game on the student’s vocabulary affects.

ABSTRACTThis research aimed to investigate the use of teaching vocabulary using Scrabble Game on the students’ achievement. The method applied in this research is Pre-experimental research. Pre-experimental research use three group Pre-test and Post-test. The sample of this research is the first grade students of SMP Negeri 1 sungai Raya Kepulauan. The experimental group was given a pre-test consisted 20 items of test (that was initially tried out before at the same class). After the Pre-test was done, it was continued with three times of treatments where the researcher used 20 words as the screabble material, antonym and synonym words. After the treatments were given, a Post-test with the same test items was administered. The result of Pre-test and Post-test were calculated and compared to determine significant increase by using the matched t-test formula. The research finding the t observed value is 3.66 indicated that the treatments have an effect on performance. Since the value of the observed t value is 3.66 exceeds the t critical value of 2.262 at the intersection of 9 df and .05, it shows that the students’ scores differ significantly from Pre-test to Post-test. This research shows that teaching vocabulary using scrabble game increases the students’ achievement onvocabulary. Scrabble game is basically suggested and considered good and appropriate as technique at teaching vocabulary. Keywords : scrabble game, vocabulary, pre experimental.

The relationships that exist among brothers and sisters have been much less researched and observed than other kinds of family relationships. Thus, the impact of sibling dyads' gender and age difference on Turkish adolescents' communication satisfaction and trust was examined. The sample consisted of 272 (154 female, 118 male) Turkish high school students, all of whom were aged between 14 and 18 years and had 1 younger sibling. They were asked to complete the Sibling Communication Satisfaction Scale and the Dyadic Trust Scale. A significant gender difference was obtained for both trust and communication satisfaction, wherein females were more likely than males were to trust and be satisfied with their level of communication with their siblings, especially in the case of same-gender siblings. However, no significant result was found for age difference in terms of either trust or communication satisfaction.

Insofar as race, class, and gender have profound effects on people’s environmental experiences, and consequently their activism, the environmental field needs more work on the environmental experiences and insights of groups whose voices have been missing, including youth of color who live in urban areas in the U.S. In this paper, we focus on African American and Latinx students engaged in environmental projects in their urban communities and the impact of such projects on promoting pro-environmental leadership, agency, and behavior. We draw from written reflections and focus group interviews of several hundred 4th–12th graders (majority middle- and high-school students) who participated in place-based civic science projects. Thematic analyses of student responses found that students engaged in work on local environmental issues cultivated an appreciation for the natural world and an understanding of human-nature interdependence and the ties between the local environment and their communities’ health. Through taking action with others in their communities, students viewed themselves as contributors to their communities and started to form environmental identities in ways that are not traditionally measured. Findings point to the need for forms of environmental education that are contextually grounded and centered on environmental justice in urban areas.

AbstractDemocracy movements in authoritarian regimes usually fail and are repressed, but they may still affect attitudes and norms of participants and bystanders. We exploit several features of a student movement to test for enduring effects of social movements on democratic attitudes. College students were the core of the movement and had wide exposure to the ideas and activities of the movement, as well as the suppression of the movement. College-bound high school students had limited exposure to the movement and its activities. Time of college entry could in theory be manipulated and endogenous, so we also use birthdate as an exogenous instrument for enrollment year. Applying a fuzzy regression discontinuity, we test for the impact of exposure to the movement on long-term attitudes. We find significant attitudinal differences between those in college during the movement, and those who started college post-movement. These results are strongest for alumni of the four universities that were most connected to the movement.
