The choice of highly efficient materials for the opaque parts of the building facades is the most effective factor in increasing its thermal protection. A decrease in the coefficient of U-value of opaque parts of a building directly affects the consumption of both thermal energy and the energy demand for cooling. Two-component or multi-component composite materials today occupy a large place in modern construction. This article analyzes the methodology for testing the thermophysical properties of these materials, reveals a new approach to determine to it, taking into account the links between the thermal conductivity and the thermal diffusivity of materials. The article analyzes the relationship between buildings and the surfaces of the outer envelope and the dependence of the energy efficiency index of the building.

The optical properties of an “anisotropic” semiconductor nanodot – a nanoscale object in the form of a rectangular parallelepiped - with sides a ≠  b ≠ c  are considered. Such dimensions are closely related to the values of the effective masses of the electron. The analysis of the spectral dependence of the absorption coefficient a(w)  under different degrees of "anisotropy" and under different polarizations of the electromagnetic wave is carried out. The cases of the most intense optical transitions, i.e. between electronic states separated by the Fermi level, are analyzed. The obtained results indicate that 1) a(w) is of line structure, and 2) the positions of the peaks of a(w) in identical optical transitions in the isotropic nanodot and in the “anisotropic” ones coincide qualitatively.  However, different masses in the “anisotropic” nanodot lead to a shift to the left or right of the peaks relative to identical peaks in the isotropic nanodot with simultaneous splitting of its degenerate peaks. Such shifts and their magnitudes are determined both by the degree of anisotropy (i.e. by the ratio between the effective masses), and by the polarization of light. It is pointed out that modern achievements in the creation of ordered semiconductor materials with nanoobjects of different shapes and sizes in nanostructures allows us to consider polarized electromagnetic wave as an effective factor in achieving the desired physical characteristics.

With recent developments in technology and its massive impact on the education field, videoconferencing has emerged as an effective teaching learning tool in the language classroom. It is mainly a means of communication to overcome the impediments of geographical distance and separation. However, despite the successful implementation of this technology, it has been stated that using videoconferencing for online teaching is problematic. Videoconferencing impedes instructor-learner interaction and is unable to replace the traditional face-to-face classroom. To understand online interaction from a sociocultural standpoint, this study examined the characteristics of instructor questions in terms of cognitive level so as to investigate if instructor question can function as a stimulus for interaction in the online classroom. The results show that cognitive level of instructor question can function as an effective factor to promote online classroom interaction. Conclusions and implications are drawn at the end of this paper to help understand interaction in online learning.

Introduction: Today, 25% of diseases in the world are directly or indirectly caused by environmental problems. The present study attempts to clarify physicians’ moral responsibility in this regard and the roles they can play   to decrease environmental problems. It also evaluates their attitudes towards and performance of these roles. The clarification of this issue paves the way for interventions through effective education or policy-making, as well as directing useful research. Materials and methods: A questionnaire was developed based on the results of qualitive study. The questionnaire assessed physicians’ awareness, attitude, and performance with regard to their environmental moral responsibilities. Results: Physicians with longer work experience had better performance. Those who worked in offices or at universities had also better performances compared to those working in hospitals. Physicians with more awareness had better performance, especially those who had acquired this awareness through books and educational workshops. The source of information was an effective factor on the gap between physicians’ attitude and performance scores those who had acquired information from books had the narrowest gap and those who had received information from social networks had the widest gap between attitude and performance scores. Conclusion: The health system and the environment and its problems are intertwined and greatly influence each other. Thus this interrelation and the necessity of being concerned and having moral sensitivity were explained.

Purpose: Magnetic field is one of the effective and non-invasive modalities on biology and angiogenesis. Studies on the effects of magnetic fields on angiogenesis showed that the shape of the magnetic field could potentially affect angiogenesis. Therefore, this study aimed to control the frequency, intensity, and duration of exposure of magnetic field while investigating the effect of the shape of the magnetic field on the viability of Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells (HUVECs). Materials and Methods: The HUVECs were exposed to various shapes of 50 and 60 Hz magnetic fields with intensities of 0.5 and 1 mT in acute and chronic exposure regimes. The viability of HUVECs was assessed via MTT assay. Results: Results showed that the sin type 50 and 60 Hz magnetic fields are more effective in decreasing the viability. The rectified 100 and 120 Hz with 1 and 0.5 mT could increase and decrease the viability compared with 50 and 60 Hz, respectively. Conclusion: It can be concluded that the shape of the magnetic field can be an effective factor in biology and must be controlled to have a reliable response.

Information management, an important element of which is the information system, has a direct impact on the functioning of a company, including its competitive position. Information management is related to the shape of the organizational culture, represented, inter alia, by the context of trust, relationship, and communication. The shape of the organizational culture, including the functioning of the information system, is particularly influenced by factors (usually external) that appear in a sudden and unpredictable manner. This impact increases with the intensity and scale of their influence. The recent COVID-19 pandemic should undoubtedly be considered such a factor. As a result, many enterprises suddenly had to switch to remote work. The aim of this paper is to analyze the essence and recognize the impact of the forced transition to a remote form of work on trust as a shaping and effective factor in the functioning of the company’s information system. To achieve this goal, the results of qualitative research conducted by the authors during the period March 2020–February 2021 and quantitative research conducted in February 2021 were used. In connection with the conducted research, it was found that trust is a very important factor influencing the efficiency and quality of employees’ work. It was also found that the forced need to switch to remote work mode was a problem for most people. This was influenced by both the time of the pandemic, as well as technical and organizational problems. As a result of observations, own experiences, interviews, and a questionnaire survey, the authors state that the necessity to switch from traditional to remote work resulted in an increase in the costs of functioning of people, including employees.

Background: One of the biggest global occupational threats, especially in the outdoor workplace, is climate change and global warming, as workers are exposed to the heat stress leading to reduced performance. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of workplace climate on labor productivity index in the agricultural sector. Methods: In this study, data related to environmental variables of 215 synoptic meteorological stations in Khuzestan province were collected from three climatic regions (hot, mild, and cold). Using MATLAB R 2018b mathematical software based on ASHRAE/ISO7730 standard values by designing some scenarios, predicted mean vote (PMV) index, and then, labor productivity index (P) were estimated. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 25 software. Results: The results showed that in the hot regions, there is a significant inverse relationship between P index and the main environmental variables (ta, tr, pa). In the cold regions, increasing the amount of ta and tr in light and medium workload improved the P index, but for heavy workload, it reduced productivity, and the most effective factor was increasing air vapor pressure. In the mild regions, the most effective factor in productivity was air vapor pressure. In addition, the results of Spearman’s correlation coefficient showed that PMV index has a direct and significant relationship with P index. Conclusion: Regarding the increasing trend of climate change and its effect on the desired thermal comfort and productivity, well structure and planning is needed to manage farm workers health.

The analysis of the researched scientific problems on counteraction to crimes, committed by organized groups and criminal organizations, which are formed on an ethnic basis, now necessitates further research of ethnic crime in Ukraine and the world in general. Formation by the Ukrainian state of a multi-vector mechanism of counteraction to organized groups and criminal organizations, formed on an ethnic basis, is impossible without understanding the essence of this problem, relevant legal concepts and classification and identification of features of organized ethnic crime that are important for law enforcement and the state. The main effective factor in such activities is to guarantee the security of citizens and the integrity of the state from criminal encroachments of organized groups and criminal organizations that are formed on an ethnic basis. Thus, for the effective interaction of law enforcement agencies in combating crimes, committed by organized groups and criminal organizations that are formed on an ethnic basis, a sound concept of such cooperation is needed, which is currently lacking. Accordingly, in the long run, such a concept needs to be adopted immediately, which will start streamlining law enforcement relations on the exchange and realization of information concerning the activities of both domestic criminal groups and organized criminal groups of foreign nationals or those formed on ethnic grounds. Theoretical principles of law enforcement interaction in combating crimes, committed by organized groups and criminal organizations, which are formed on an ethnic basis by generalizing, analyzing and systematizing the concept of interaction, its forms, methods and types, are analyzed. An author's definition of the concept of interaction among police during counteraction to crimes, committed by organized groups and criminal organizations, formed on ethnic basi, is given
