This paper analyses the importance, role, and methods of cooperation between parents and preschool institutions through the different concepts of preschool education and different educational approaches and formal frameworks. Through educational approaches, the authors analyse how cooperation affects the implementation of preschool education in alternative educational approaches, such as the Waldorf, Montessori, and Reggio Emilia approaches, and Slovenian public preschool institutions. They envisage that different educational approaches in preschool education perceive the importance and role of cooperation with parents differently and conclude that there are various models of cooperation, which can be demonstrated through a theoretical analysis of the aforementionedalternative preschool approaches. In their view, partnership promotes a shared commitment to the quality realisation of educational goals; it also develops understanding and an ethos of openness in the relationship between all actors in the process of care and education ofpreschool children.

We studied the role of generalized trust as a moderator of attitude towards ethnic diversity and acculturation expectations such as «integration» and «assimilation». In the process of theoretical analysis, two assumptions are made. (1) the higher the acceptance of ethnic diversity, the higher the orientation towards acculturation expectation «integration» and the lower the acculturation expectation «assimilation». (2) there is a difference in the relationship between attitudes towards ethnic diversity and acculturation expectations: in the case of negative attitudes towards ethnic diversity, people with higher trust will more prefer integration and less assimilation than people with lower trust. The sample of the study consisted of 198 Russian respondents (59 men and 139 women, mean age 24) who were born or lived more than 10 years in Moscow. Tools of research: methods of trust evaluation by T. Yamagishi [50]; questionnaire to assess the degree of acceptance of the identity of ethnic diversity [23]; an adapted method of assessing acculturation expectations by John. Berry [5]. The study confirmed the assumption that trust is a moderator of the relationship between attitudes towards ethnic diversity and acculturation expectations. The article discusses the meaning of the found moderation.

The conflict interaction in the adolescent environment, mainly in the context of intercultural interaction, is considered in the article on the basis of theoretical analysis. The relationship between conflict in adolescence and the overcoming of adolescent crisis is described, as well as the conflict was correlated with other age characteristics. A special emphasis is placed on intergroup conflicts. An additional specificity of conflicts in school classes with mixed cultural composition is discussed. An analysis of the specifics of the conflict interaction in connection with the measurement of cultures by G. Hofstede was carried out (individualism-collectivism, power distance, masculinity-femininity and avoidance of uncertainty). The conclusion about the greater urgency of potential contradictions is being made if there are teenagers belonging to widely differing cultures in the school class. The role of laughter culture as manifestations of antipodes in game form for the prevention and correction of conflicts in a adolescent multicultural environment is shown.

This article discusses the theoretical content of the formation of social competence of preschool children. The role of the preschool organization in creating all conditions for the child to realize their personal capabilities, to help identify and reveal their individuality is determined. In pre-school organizations, promoting the formation of a unique personality in the process of education and upbringing, special attention is paid to creating conditions for the adaptation of each child to the social environment and the organization of education. As a result of the theoretical analysis of the concept of "social competence",the author notes that an important task of preschool education is to develop a new meaningful methodologythat allows the child to actively integrate and adapt in the social environment and become a socially competent person in the future

The relationship between logarithmic and rhythm therapy is multifaceted, which explains the good opportunities for their application in a primary school in students with fluency and tempo-rhythmic organization of speech, which form the picture of development- stuttering. Research related to the pedagogical aspects of this application is relevant, as the problem is analyzed mainly theoretically as related to other scientific fields. This article presents methods for corrective work, which is also the concept of this framework of speech therapy rhythmic: object, subject, goal and tasks. A theoretical analysis on the topic was made and a study of the role of logarithmic and rhythm therapy from the point of view of pedagogues in primary school was presented. Тhe results are analyzed in terms of their applicability and adequacy to the learning process and pedagogical practice.

INTRODUCTION. In a globalized and multicultural world, one is increasingly challenged by encounters and relationships with the other. Intercultural pedagogy develops its reflections around these problems, while continuously updating its meanings and purposes. METHOD. Starting from a reinterpretation of the pedagogical foundations of the relationship between identity and otherness, this contribution proposes to outline the role and purpose of an intercultural pedagogy in relation to the framework of insecurity that characterizes multicultural society today. RESULTS. The interplay between the theoretical analysis of intercultural pedagogy and the various manifestations of risk, especially as regards the condition of vulnerability experienced by refugees and migrants, allows us to outline new educational goals for an authentic relationship with others. DISCUSSION. As a result of the above observations, the need for a continuous interpretation of intercultural education in relation to the constantly changing scenarios emerges. In addition, the training of educational and pedagogical professionals that make use of intercultural mediation to prevent conflict and upgrade living conditions and encourage a better education for the new wave of immigrants becomes crucial.

Abstract This commentary focuses upon the relationship between two themes in the target article: the ways in which a Markov blanket may be defined and the role of precision and salience in mediating the interactions between what is internal and external to a system. These each rest upon the different perspectives we might take while “choosing” a Markov blanket.

Abstract. Background: Lowered eye blink rate may be a clinically useful indicator of acute, imminent, and severe suicide risk. Diminished eye blink rates are often seen among individuals engaged in heightened concentration on a specific task that requires careful planning and attention. Indeed, overcoming one’s biological instinct for survival through suicide necessitates premeditation and concentration; thus, a diminished eye blink rate may signal imminent suicidality. Aims: This article aims to spur research and clinical inquiry into the role of eye blinks as an indicator of acute suicide risk. Method: Literature relevant to the potential connection between eye blink rate and suicidality was reviewed and synthesized. Results: Anecdotal, cognitive, neurological, and conceptual support for the relationship between decreased blink rate and suicide risk is outlined. Conclusion: Given that eye blinks are a highly observable behavior, the potential clinical utility of using eye blink rate as a marker of suicide risk is immense. Research is warranted to explore the association between eye blink rate and acute suicide risk.

Parenting behaviors – specifically behaviors characterized by high control, intrusiveness, rejection, and overprotection – and effortful control have each been implicated in the development of anxiety pathology. However, little research has examined the protective role of effortful control in the relation between parenting and anxiety symptoms, specifically among adults. Thus, we sought to explore the unique and interactive effects of parenting and effortful control on anxiety among adults (N = 162). Results suggest that effortful control uniquely contributes to anxiety symptoms above and beyond that of any parenting behavior. Furthermore, effortful control acted as a moderator of the relationship between parental overprotection and anxiety, such that overprotection is associated with anxiety only in individuals with lower levels of effortful control. Implications for potential prevention and intervention efforts which specifically target effortful control are discussed. These findings underscore the importance of considering individual differences in self-regulatory abilities when examining associations between putative early-life risk factors, such as parenting, and anxiety symptoms.
