The data processing systems is a very necessary way to manipulate a data into useful information. The system makes data storage, adding, changing, scheduling to reporting well integrated, so that it can help parts to exchange information and make decisions quickly. The problems faced by GKPI Pal Merah Jambi are currently still using Microsoft Office Word and in disseminating information such as worship schedules, church activities and other worship routines through paper and wall-based worship services. To print worship and report reports requires substantial operational funds, in addition to data collection and storage there are still deficiencies including recording data on the book, difficulty in processing large amounts of data and stored in only one special place that is passive. Based on the above problems, the author is interested in conducting research with the title Designing Data Processing Systems for Web-Based Churches in the GKPI Pal Merah Church in Jambi. The purpose of this study is to design and produce a data processing system for the church. Using this system can facilitate data processing in the GKPI Pal Merah Jambi Church. This study uses a waterfall development method, a method that provides a systematic and sequential approach to system needs analysis, design, implementation and unit testing, system testing and care. Applications built using the web with MySQL DBMS database, PHP programming language and Laravel.

The World Wide Web (or the “Web”) is revolutionizing the concept of service -oriented computing. It permits the integration of the local area networks (LAN) and wide-area networks (WAN), thereby providing servers that are interconnected at a worldwide or an intergalactic level. Such an integration serves as a backbone for the Web-based business or e-business to access information, as well as perform e-business transactions across the globe with adequate security and reliability. In this article, we describe the issues involved in the design of an e-business transaction processing system and the solutions that have been proposed for these problems using the techniques of AI, conventional database transaction processing methodology and protocol engineering principles. These techniques will be useful for improved transaction throughput and scalability in e-commerce (Brancheau & Shi, 2001; Menasce & Almeida, 2000; Murthy, 2002).

Managing people and keeping adequate record of the attendance for most of the tertiary institutions are difficult task. Moreover, the manual taking of attendance adds to the difficulty of this task because it is strenuous, time intensive and can easily be falsified. Meanwhile, With the advent of new technology, a new world of authentication and security has been created via biometrics. This work aims at improving Covenant Universities paper-based attendance by using biometrics, specifically fingerprint technology. It is a web application that works with a fingerprint reader from which the features of the student’s fingerprint are extracted during enrolment. This is also needed during the authentication phase which occurs during the roll call attendance in the halls of residence. It is implemented using PHP and MySQL.

Governments and their agencies are often challenged by high cost and flexible telephonic, Web based data services. Emerging technologies, such as those of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) that allow convergent systems where voice and Web technologies can utilize the same network to provide both services, can be used to improve such services. This paper describe VoIP system for the enterprise network (e.g. company, university) that have been developed based on Asterisk which is a kind of open source software to implement IP-PBX system. Through the development and evaluation, we have confirmed that VoIP system based on Asterisk is very powerful as a whole and most PBX functions to be required for the enterprise network can be realized. Interesting findings include that the University of Kufa has a potential to implement the project. By connecting multiple Asterisk servers located in different sites based on IAX2, large scale enterprise network can be developed. Since the software recommended for installation is open source, the project could be used as a source of valuable information by students who specialize in real-time multi-media systems.

Examined and compared in this chapter is the diffusion of WBE in Singapore and Australia. These two countries were chosen in this study because of the close educational collaborations and developments between them. A number of Australian universities have offshore bases in Singapore. It would be more cost-effective and profitable to use WBE instead of using the usual corresponding method, or flying professors into the country a few times a year for intensive residential studies. In this chapter, WBE at some selected institutions is reported in detail, because these institutions represent the more advanced developments of WBE in the respective country. Meta-analysis, using a modified Taylor’s model (Taylor, 2001), reveals that though Singapore and Australia are different in their approach and policies to education and technology, they share similar trends and achievements in the development of WBE. Tertiary institutions in both countries have generally achieved all the characteristics of Generations 4 and 5 of the development model of Distance Education, as described by Taylor. However, this is not to say that face-to-face teaching has been phased out. This study also indicates that WBE supports the development of distance education and e-universities in Australia. On the other hand, it is hard to say when Singapore will develop its first e-university.

Abstrak: Jaringan untuk komunikasi data dikembangkan pada komputer dan membuat internet tampil dengan banyak aplikasi. Penyajian informasi yang dihasilkan dari internet sangat beragam dan tergantung dari kebutuhan pengguna. Informasi yang didapatkan pengguna, salah satunya adalah situs pendidikan dari sekolah dasar sampai peguruan tinggi Oleh karena itu dengan perkembangan teknologi madrasah Aliyah Wasilatul Falah Banten merancang sistem informasi absensi real time yag berbasis web. Aplikasi absensi ini memberikan pemenuhan kebutuhan pengguna dalam memasukkan data, mengubah data, menghapus data, mencari data, menyaring data dan mencetak data. Sistem informasi ini dapat menjadi salah satu solusi yang dapat diunakan untuk mempermudah guru dalam pendataan murid, selain itu dengan adanya aplikasi ini membuat pekerjaan menjadi lebih mudah, cepat dan efisien. Di samping itu juga dapat mengawasi pendidikan siswa-siswi dalam kehadiran di madrasah dan membuat orang tua dapat mengetahui proses kegiatan belajar anak-anaknya.   Kata kunci: absensi real time, sistem informasi.   Abstract: Networks for data communication were developed on computers and made the internet appear with many applications. The presentation of information generated from the internet is very diverse and depends on the needs of users. Information obtained by users, one of which is educational sites from elementary schools to tertiary institutions. Therefore, with the development of technology, Madrasah Aliyah Wasilatul Falah Banten designed a web-based real-time attendance information system. This attendance application provides fulfillment of user needs in entering data, changing data, deleting data, searching data, filtering data, and printing data. This information system can be one of the solutions that can be used to make it easier for teachers to collect student data, besides this application makes work easier, faster, and more efficient. In addition, it can also supervise the education of students in their attendance at madrasah and make parents know the process of their children's learning activities.   Keywords: information system, real-time attendance.
