This study aims to explore the status quo of information security from the perspective of information technology (IT) staff in Jordanian university libraries and to discuss the most prominent difficulties they face. Moreover, it aims to identify the effect of the variables (years of experience, type of university, job level, and specialization) on the staff estimation of the status quo of information security and the difficulties they face. The study population consisted of all (96) staff members of the IT departments in the libraries of public and private Jordanian universities for the academic year 2015-2016, of whom (84) responded. To answer the study questions, a questionnaire that examines the status quo of information security was adopted, it consisted of five themes. The questionnaire also included questions to study the difficulties facing IT staff. The results indicated that the respondents’ estimation of the status quo of information security in Jordanian universities libraries was at medium level, as the item “procedures for the protection of computer systems and networks” and the item “access control to information systems” were ranked first in the study fields with a high rating. Results also indicated that the overall level of difficulties attained a medium level, and that the most prominent difficulties facing IT staff in universities libraries are the shortage of personnel specialized in information security and the lack of budget allocated to information security in university libraries. The study also showed a statistically significant difference at the level of significance (α≤0.05) for the variables of “job level” and “specialization” in the staff estimation of the status quo of information security. Also, a statistically significant difference was found in the staff estimation of the difficulties they face related to the specialization variable. The study recommends paying more attention to the various aspects of information security in libraries, such as the infrastructure in regard to technology and the existence of a precise policy to ensure information security and to increase the number of human resources specialized in the field of information security.

Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to examine changes in the status of Bogor Agricultural University. Moreover we employ a multiple regression analysis to examine the effect of employee engagement and information technology in performance financial of report.  In addition, Ultrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) was used to examine the financial human resource mapping. The results of ANOVA test showed that there was no significant difference of the financial management of Bogor Agricultural University before and after the implementation of Public Service Board (BLU). Furthermore, multiple linear regression test results showed that the factors that affect the performance of financial reports are employee engagement and use of information technology. However, it is found that the factor that really affects the performace of financial reports is the use of information technology. Finally, the test results of the mapping showed that employee engagement of human resources staff of Bogor Agricultural University are in medium position indicating that it needs to be maintained and improved.

Successful succession management is one of the necessities in any organization, especially universities. In the management of higher education, succession planning deployment requires proprietary methods. Therefore, the present study aimed to investigate the status quo and favorable status of succession management deployment from the viewpoint of faculty members at Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences in 2017. In this descriptive-analytic and cross-sectional study, 95 faculty members were selected from the Departments of Basic Sciences and Clinical Sciences using nonrandom quota sampling. As for data collection, the Kim's succession planning questionnaire was employed. To analyze data, the SPSS Statistical Software Version 23.0 and the statistical tests of paired t-test, Chi-square and ANOVA were used to compare the status quo of succession management deployment with its favorable status and to study its decisive factors. The results of the present study revealed that there was a significant difference between the status quo and favorable status of t succession management deployment (P<0.0001). The results also demonstrated that there was a significant difference between the status quo of succession management deployment and its favorable status in terms of policy setting, evaluation of candidates, development of candidates, and system evaluation (P<0.001). Moreover, the results indicated that the greatest deployment in the status quo was related to the evaluation of candidates whereas the greatest deployment in the favorable status belonged to policy setting. The findings of the present study demonstrated that there was a clear gap between the status quo and favorable status of succession management deployment from the perspective of faculty members. Hence, it is recommended that qualifications-based selection be employed as the basis on which succession management and talent management can be deployed successfully and effectively at medical universities.

Madrasah organizational transformation in the information technology era is not always successful, there are important things that must be considered by organizations, namely: the possibility of rejection of the transformation. Organizational transformation done by reengineering, for example, has a risk of failure caused by resistance to changes in the status quo. That is, if the organization can reduce the risk of resistance to organizational transformation, the organizational transformation will be successful. In addition, to succeed in organizational transformation, support and involvement of top management is needed, a clear vision of change, a model of change especially for Human Resources is planned carefully, involving all parties at various levels of management in planning and implementing organizational transformation, employees must also be more empowered.

The use of advanced IT applications has enabled the university libraries to provide innovative library services to their patrons. While the general students are getting all required services from the libraries, the students with visual impairment have continued to face challenges in accessing the library collection. The technology to help overcome these challenges is available today in the form of assistive technology (AT). Unfortunately, a majority of the university libraries in the country do not have this technology in their libraries due to which a huge amount of information stored in the books and journals subscribed by them has become out of reach of the students with visual impairment. The present study was conducted to ascertain the status of AT to support students with visual impairment in university libraries. The study which has covered around 185 universities, provides the first systematic exploration of the status of AT in university libraries in India. The major findings of the study in context of university libraries in India are: 12.97 per cent having Braille Books in their collection; 22.70 per cent have made provision for AT for students with visual impairment; 22.70 per cent have accessible library websites; 21.08 per cent have designated staff members to serve the students with disabilities; 22.70 per cent have ‘written disability policy or ‘documented minutes’ related to the ‘library services for the students with disabilities’.

Because planning management of the leisure and tourism-oriented suburban villages lags behind, a series of problems occur: sustainable development of rural tourism is limited, and the content of planning management is unclear, and implement does not reach the designed position. In order to solve these problems, through research and analysis, we master the status quo of planning management of leisure and tourism-oriented suburban villages in China, and determine the content of planning management. The author analyze the interactive relationship between system theory and leisure and tourism-oriented suburban rural planning management and construct a planning management system based on the perspective of systems theory. The informatization design of system was achieved by information technology. The results show that the informatization system based on the perspective of system theory not only provides a solution for the planning management of the leisure and tourism-oriented suburban villages, but also lays a foundation for software development and website function design.
