<em>Principal management greatly affects the professional competence of teachers. In this case, the management of the principal is an effort that is based on moving, directing, and maintaining a person's behavior so that he is motivated to act to do something to achieve certain results or goals. In the concept of management related to organizational life, the management ability of the principal is very important in moving teachers to be more professional, because the principal has a broad influence in the world of education. The purpose of this school action research is to determine the extent to which principal coaching through principal management can improve professional competence. </em><em>The instrument used in this study was observation.</em><em> </em><em>Data were analyzed using descriptive percentages.</em> <em>In this school action research was carried out in 2 cycles, from the results of the actions taken it was proven to increase the professional competence of teachers in learning, namely from 62.81% in cycle 1 to 80.76% in cycle 2. In other words, principal management carried out by researchers as school principals can improve teacher professional competence in learning.</em>

Abstract The teacher's pedagogic competence affects the management ability of the principal. Therefore, primary management is an effort based on moving, directing, and maintaining one's ethics so that he is motivated to do something that is planned to achieve the desired goals. In the concept of management related to organizational life, the management ability of the principal plays an important role in moving teachers to be more professional, this is because the principal has a broad influence on the world of education in the school environment. The purpose of this school action research (PTS) is to find out the extent to which principal coaching through principal management can improve teacher pedagogic competence. This School Action Research (PTS) was carried out in 2 cycles, from the results of the actions taken it was proven to be able to improve the pedagogic competence of teachers in learning, from 57.33% in cycle 1 to 78.63% in cycle 2. So the results of the research produced were management principals carried out by researchers as school principals can improve the pedagogic competence of teachers in learning. Keywords: Improve, Principal Management, Teacher Pedagogic Competence

Guru merupakan faktor kunci mutu pendidikan dan kemajuan sebuah bangsa. Negara yang kurang memperhatikan tenaga pendidiknya akan sulit maju, karena kualitas generasi penerus di tentukan oleh guru. Untuk itu, tujuan dalam artikel ini adalah menjelaskan peran kepala sekolah dalam memotivasi guru honorer untuk meningkatkan kualitas kompetensi profesionalitas. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Jenis wawancara yang di gunakan adalah wawancara terstruktur, dan tidak terstruktur. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan dampak bahwa peran kepala sekolah dalam memotivasi guru honorer dapat meningkatkan kualitas kompetensi profesionalitas dengan cara menggunakan strategi pengembengan kompetensi profesionalitas guru berupa memberi motivasi, mengevaluasi kinerja guru secara berkala, memberikan pembinaan dan penguatan kepada guru, dan memberikan pelatihan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi melalui seminar, FGD, pelatihan dan workshop kompetensi profesionalitas. The teacher is a critical factor in the quality of education and the progress of a nation. Countries that pay less attention to their educators will find it challenging to progress because the teacher determines the next generation's rate. For this reason, the purpose of this article is to explain the role of school principals in motivating honorary teachers to improve the quality of professional competence. The method used in this research is qualitative research methods. Data collection methods in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation. The type of talk that is used is structured and unstructured interviews. The data analysis technique used interactive analysis. The results of this study have an impact that the role of the principal in motivating honorary teachers can improve the quality of professional competence by using a strategy of developing teacher professional competence in the form of encouraging, evaluating teacher performance regularly, providing guidance, and strengthening to teachers, and providing training to improve competence through seminars, FGDs, training and professional competency workshops.

This study aims to describe users’ perception on the competencies of STAIN Pekalongan Tarbiyah Programs’ alumni, namely those who devote themselves into the world of education. Teachers and lecturers should be able to fulfill the four competencies, namely (1) pedagogical competence, (2) competence of personality, (3) social competence, and (4) professional competence. These competencies are comprehensive and constitute an integral and interconnected with each other and support each other. Descriptive statistics was employed to analize the data. Research results indicate that (1) users’ perception on alumni’s pedagogical competence are above average which 77% schools on Kemdiknas’ oversight rate them as good, as well as 73% schools on Depag’s oversight (2) users’ perception on alumni’s personal competency/personality are above average which 81% schools on Kemdiknas’ oversight rate them as good, as well as 78% schools on Depag’s oversight (3) users’ perception on alumni’s social competency are above average which 75% schools on Kemdiknas’ oversight rate them as good, as well as 74% schools on Depag’s oversight; and (4) users’ perception on alumni’s professional competency are above average which 76% schools on Kemdiknas’ oversight rate them as good, as well as 73% schools on Depag’s oversight. Thus, it can be concluded that both users rate them as good and competence

Based on observations of the competence of teachers of SMA Negeri 1 Panga Aceh Jaya Regency in compiling reports on school action research, it was found that the phenomenon that the professional competence of teachers in compiling Classroom Action Research (CAR) was still low. The purpose of this study was to describe and obtain information on improving teacher professional competence in compiling classroom action research reports through the CLCK (Example, Exercise, Control, Independ-ent Work) coaching model in SMA Negeri 1 Panga Aceh Jaya Regency. This research is a School Ac-tion Research (PTS). Research procedures in this study include planning, action, observation and reflec-tion. This study consisted of two cycles with four meetings. The research subjects consisted of 6 teach-ers of SMA Negeri 1 Panga, Aceh Jaya Regency. The research data were collected using observation sheets. The data were analyzed using success rates. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that the mentoring-based CLCK coaching model can improve the ability of teachers to compile classroom action research reports at SMA Negeri 1 Panga Aceh Jaya Regency. Analysis of the quality of the CAR reports prepared by teachers shows that the professional competence of teachers in preparing classroom action research reports has increased from cycle I to cycle II. The professional competence of teachers in preparing classroom action research reports in cycle I was 76.50 (Good) in-creased to 87.16 (Very Good) in cycle II with an increase of 10.66 points.

This training aims to provide an overview of the concepts of improving the performance of teachersand school principals as an effort to improve human resources (HR) which is carried out througheducation and training, so that it is expected to produce high enough performance of teachers andprincipals in learning. One of the weaknesses that exist today in the world of education is the lowperformance of teachers in terms of competence and self-quality in managing classes actively andcreatively. Based on the data above, there needs to be a comprehensive effort to improve the qualityof our education. This improvement can be started from the lowest education unit, namely the schoolinstitution. The capacity of Indonesian schools needs to be increased so that they are able to face thechallenges of a much more competitive future. One way to improve school performance is to improveteacher quality. The quality of teachers can be improved by providing training and mentoring. For thisreason, as a form of Higher Education Tridharma, a Community Service Program was held with thetheme of Improving Primary School Performance through the Teacher and Principal Training Programat the As'ad Islamic Elementary School Foundation in Jambi City. The purpose of this training is toassist teachers in the development of teacher professional competencies such as updating learningmethods in class, use of learning media, etc. Through increasing the capacity of teachers through thisworkshop, it is hoped that it can improve the school's performance.

The purpose of this research is to find out and examine the influence of principal's leadership and teacher’s professional competency toward students’ learning achievement. The research method was descriptive and verification methods, with a Likert scale questionnaire as data collection techniques distributed to 54 teachers. Regression analysis technique was used in processing the research result with F-Test as the significance test. The results showed that: (1) there was a positive but less significant effect between the leadership of the principal on students’ achievement. (2) There is a positive and significant influence between the professional competencies of teacher on students’ achievement. (3) There is a positive and significant influence between the principal's leadership and teacher professional competence simultaneously on the learning achievement. Starting from these conditions, the authors suggest, that: (1) Principals are expected to be able to implement their mission more optimally by involving teachers in the preparation of vision and mission as well as improving their socialization programs to have whole understanding from all elements in the school (2) Teachers should learn more and comply with ethics code by attending the MGMP discussion and PGRI meetings. The teachers also have to maximize and enrich their teaching materials, by reading more journals and books in accordance with their fields and delving more insight from the internet.

This assistance aims to improve the understanding and ability of mathematics teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Larantuka regarding the preparation of Classroom Action Research (CAR) reports. Besides, this assistance aims to assist in the preparation and implementation of CAR by assist teachers in its application. The stages carried out in this service are finding the right model to be applied to the learning process, assistance in making proposals, designing learning tools, teacher research activities in class, and compiling reports on the results of CAR. The results are an increase in the understanding and ability of teachers about the implementation of CAR activities. The results are using as input for teachers to improve teacher professional competence by conducting CAR.

The purpose of this study is 1) to know effect of academic supervision on the professional competencies of elementary school teacher, 2) to know the effect of classroom action research training on the professional competencies of elementary school teachers, 3) to know effect of academic supervision and classrooom action research training on the professional competencies of elementary school teacher. The subject of this study werw all elementary school teachers in all subdistrict of Undaan Kudus regency. This study uses a quantitative contribution method with regression analysis techniques. Respondents were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection research using questionaire. The validity of data uses construct validity bay way of experiential juggment. Data analysis was perfomed using regression analysis techniques in the form of simple and multiple regression. The results of study showed that academic supervision had an effect on techer professional competence of 32,0 %. Whereas classroom action research training has an effect on  teacher professional competence of 39,1%. Academic supervision and classroom action research training together have an effect on teacher professional competence of 46,6%.
