In a novel analysis, we show that arbitrarily many Arbiter PUFs can be combined into a stable XOR Arbiter PUF. To the best of our knowledge, this design cannot be modeled by any known oracle access attack in polynomial time.Using majority vote of Arbiter Chain responses, our analysis shows that with a polynomial number of votes the XOR Arbiter PUF stability of almost all challenges can be boosted exponentially close to 1; that is, the stability gain through majority voting can exceed the stability loss introduced by large XORs for a feasible number of votes. Hence, our proposal enables the designer to increase the attacker's effort exponentially while still maintaining polynomial design effort for all known oracle access modeling attacks. This is the first result that relates PUF design to this traditional cryptographic design principle.

The article presents an assessment of the stability of introduced cherry varieties to spring return frosts in 2020 in the conditions of the sharply continental climate of the Astrakhan region. As a result of unfavorable weather conditions, the total damage score of all varieties was 2-5 points. Almost all the studied varieties showed an insufficient level of resistance to recurrent frosts.

The films of polyaniline:polyethyleneterephthalate films were prepared by polymerizing aniline soaked in polyethyleneterephthalate films of different thicknesses. The films were characterized by FTIR as well as for their electrical properties. The electrical properties of the films were observed to be of good quality as almost all the films showed a great increase in their electrical conductivity from insulator to semiconductor region after doping with hydrochloric acid. All the films in their doped state follow the Arrhenius equation for the temperature dependence of electrical conductivity from 35 to 115oC. The thermooxidative stability was studied by thermogravimetry and differential thermal analysis. The stability in terms of dc electrical conductivity retention was also studied under ambient conditions by two slightly different techniques viz. isothermal and cyclic techniques. The dc electrical conductivity of the films was found to be stable below 90oC for all the films under ambient conditions.

The paper presents an algorithm for calculating the stability of the form of equilibrium of the first kind of compressed discrete systems by the method of displacements in combination with themethods of iterations and bisection. The use of the displacement method in combination with the iteration and bisection methods makes it possible to effectively determine the minimum critical stress or strain at the first bifurcation and their corresponding form of loss of stability, both for statically determined and statically undetectable systems. This approach, using matrixforms, makes it possible to significantly simplify the calculations of the analytical condition for the loss of stability of compressed discrete systems (the stability loss equation), which has high orders, as well as to construct the form of loss of stability corresponding to a critical load, that is, to solve the problem of loss of stability of equilibrium. The calculation of the compressed discrete system on the stability of the form of equilibrium actually reduces to the solution of the difficultly described nonlinear transcendental equation, which is the equation of loss of stability. The difficulty lies in the absence of an analytical solution of such an equation due to the presence of complex functions of Zhukovsky, which have transcendental functions in their structure. Such solution can be performed only with the use of numerical methods. This algorithm for calculating the loss of equilibrium of the first kind of compressed discrete systems by displacement in combination with the methods of iteration and bisection is implemented in the software complex "Persist" for a PC in Windows OS. The program was approbated and implemented in theeducational process at the Department of Structural and Theoretical Mechanics of the Poltava National Technical Yuri Kondratyuk University during the training of specialists in engineering specialties.

Climate change poses a major threat to almost all forms of human activity on earth, including tourism. As Holden (2016: 227) argues: Of all the challenges facing tourism’s relationship with nature, it is not an exaggeration to state that climate change represents the greatest. Holden gives as his rationale for this statement that it is the stability and predictability of climate that is vital for the environments and ecosystems that are required for the continuation of current types of tourism, whether these are the traditional form of mass tourism, in terms of ‘sun, sea and sand’ holidays, or a niche activity which involves visiting a tropical rain forest with rare flora and fauna as the main attraction. Climate change also presents opportunities for tourism. If areas currently experiencing cool winters and mild summers get warmer, then new types of tourism may be possible including beach-based holidays where at present these are of little importance. Climate change is likely to lead to modifications in the weather at different times of the year so ‘seasonality’ which is currently a very important dimension to many forms of tourism will be affected, probably to the extent that seasons when there is high tourism activity will get longer in some parts of the world. Although tourism is likely to be significantly affected by climate change, it has also contributed to climate change through for example the burning of fossil fuels in transport for tourism as well through the use of power in hotel accommodation.

The aim of the forecasting effort is to identify troublesome zones of stability loss by a parting lengthwise of the extraction panel under the joint and downward mining of coal seams. Analyses have been carried out of active stress component curves for a 3-D model computational experiment compared with the strength characteristic of each lithotype of a parting. An algorithm has been developed for the stability assessment of a parting lengthwise along the extraction panel. The relationship patterns have been estimated between the sizes of the parting rocks discontinuity zones and the main geomechanical parameters. A scientifically grounded basis has been created for the detection of the parting rock weak zones lengthwise along the extraction panel for the calculation of the mounting and security systems of the development works. A complex of underground instrumental observations was made, which was used to set up a correspondence of patterns to indicate the variation in rock pressure manifestation intensity and the tendencies for changes in the parting structure. All of this confirms the adequacy of the techniques for parting state forecasting, which is recommended for use in the engineering documentation for the joint and downward mining of coal seams.

Social networks play an important role in today’s society and in our relationships with others. They give the Internet user the opportunity to play an active role, e.g., one can relay certain information via a blog, a comment, or even a vote. The Internet user has the possibility to share any content at any time. However, some malicious Internet users take advantage of this freedom to share fake news to manipulate or mislead an audience, to invade the privacy of others, and also to harm certain institutions. Fake news seeks to resemble traditional media to establish its credibility with the public. Its seriousness pushes the public to share them. As a result, fake news can spread quickly. This fake news can cause enormous difficulties for users and institutions. Several authors have proposed systems to detect fake news in social networks using crowd signals through the process of crowdsourcing. Unfortunately, these authors do not use the expertise of the crowd and the expertise of a third party in an associative way to make decisions. Crowds are useful in indicating whether or not a story should be fact-checked. This work proposes a new method of binary aggregation of opinions of the crowd and the knowledge of a third-party expert. The aggregator is based on majority voting on the crowd side and weighted averaging on the third-party side. An experimentation has been conducted on 25 posts and 50 voters. A quantitative comparison with the majority vote model reveals that our aggregation model provides slightly better results due to weights assigned to accredited users. A qualitative investigation against existing aggregation models shows that the proposed approach meets the requirements or properties expected of a crowdsourcing system and a voting system.

The asymmetric flow field induced by the volute has considerable influence on the performance of a turbocharger centrifugal compressor, especially through its effect on the stability. In this paper, a novel asymmetric vaneless diffuser treatment with a circumferentially non-axisymmetric diffuser width distribution was firstly developed to enhance the stability of a centrifugal compressor for turbocharger. Design principle of the asymmetric diffuser was proposed based on the asymmetric flow in the compressor. The objective of the asymmetric vaneless diffuser design is to alleviate the flow asymmetry in the diffuser, which requires that the phase of the maximal diffuser width is coincident with the phase of the minimum static pressure in the diffuser. The results of the numerical simulation showed that the designed asymmetric diffuser was able to decrease the magnitude of the pressure distortion induced by the volute and therefore alleviated the negative effect of the volute on compressor stability. Experimental results showed that the designed asymmetric diffuser extended the stable flow range by 28.3% at designed speed compared to the prototype with symmetric diffuser.

Due to the world's energy shortage and increasing pressure on marine environmental protection, using solar and wind energy in ocean-going ships to reduce fuel consumption has become an international focus. At first this paper tests and analyzes aerodynamic characteristics of wing, and then ship model oblique towing test is conducted under different typical working conditions. Finally, the thesis analyzes the stability of ships which are equipped with additional wings in three different ocean-going cargo ships and provides security analysis basis for using sail-assist technology in ocean-going cargo vessels.

The Northern Hairy-nosed Wombat Lasiorhinus krefftii now survives only in Epping Forest National Park, central Queensland. The species was formerly more widespread in the Epping Forest region than at present. Its decline appears to have occurred in three distinct episodes of contraction, two of which were associated with prolonged drought. Indirect monitoring of abundance suggests that the population was stable from 1974 to 1981, when cattle were excluded from the Park, but has increased since 1983. A trapping programme between 1985 and 1989 suggests that the absolute size of the population may be about 70. The population contains approximately equal numbers of males and females; almost all females breed; and a large and apparently increasing proportion of the population consists of young animals. Further increases in density and range within Epping Forest National Park appear possible. Removal of some animals for translocation should be attempted when it is clear that such removals will not jeopardize the stability and vigour of the Epping Forest population.
