This paper summarizes the reality of teaching physics at the undergraduate level, in light of the challenges of reality and the future and keeping pace with the scientific development that the science of physics is constantly witnessing, as it sheds light on this reality through some suggestions that would advance and develop the process of teaching physics at the university level and for specialists In this science, whether from a theoretical, practical or applied point of view, from a theoretical point of view, to use modern technologies and develop courses by keeping pace with the scientific developments in the advanced international universities. As for the practical aspect, the laboratories should have computers that are used to draw curves and extract the results, and that these laboratories should be equipped with all that is required for the experiments, and that the work of these experiments is linked after the theoretical lectures. As for the practical aspect, which includes complex problems, it is better to divide students into groups to solve those problems as it is in practical experiments, and to announce to students the questions that should be solved a week before so that they are aware of the scientific material and ready for it.

The ways of informing students about the activities which are organized on a faculty or university level daily present an increasing challenge. The very aim of this work is to analyze and compare ways of informing students of the Faculty of Education about the sport activities on the faculty and university level. The way of informing students about the activities will be compared with the ways of informing about general sport activities in order to identify possible deviation from two different types of activities. Promotion being one of the marketing elements, so is the appliance of adequate promotion tools very important in all social processes. Numerous examples, especially in sport, proved that the activities of the sport participants will not be successful without the adequate use of promotion. University sport in developed countries surely occupies an important place in the academic community; from that point of view it is very important to determine the way of managing the university sport. The university sport in the Republic of Croatia is becoming more significant element of students' activities every day, and the promotion contributes to that. Apart from comparing the ways of informing about sport and regular activities, this paper will provide the time comparison of the mentioned researches between 2014 and 2020. The comparison of the same data with the time lag will provide the best picture of the changes in the ways of informing in a 6-year-period. The obtained results have shown that even after six years, students continue to prefer certain communication channels, i.e. they remain primary.

If much attention has been gained in recent times by sign languages (in particular in the comparison on their nature and on their main peculiar properties also towards a recognition as proper languages, as well as on the challenges they pose to some traditional notions which have been employed so far to describe linguistic phenomena), their possible value from the perspective of inclusiveness deserves at least a brief reflection: the debate on this topic could be moved, from a theoretical point of view, within the search for vehicular languages that conformed humanity’s whole cultural life (in different ways and times), to discuss the possibility that a sign language could also propose itself, among others, in the future, as auxiliary.

The article is devoted to the problem of modernization of the Russian society, which is central from a practical and theoretical point of view for the existence of the Russian state. It is connected with the nature of the culture of Russian civilization, with the sociocultural type of personality and society that requires its reformatting. These are both traditional mechanisms involved in the reproduction of Russian society and innovative development factors. The focus is on the modern civilizational Challenge, which has stretched over several decades. Even such a grandiose transformation as the deconstruction of the USSR did not lead to the Answer to the Challenge. A closed, authoritarian type of Russian society with a two-dimensional traditional cultural code can be modernized only by using an external factor as a transformation lever. The article describes the specifics of Russian civilization in connection with the peculiarities of modernization at the stage of transition to post-industrial society. This transition included a crisis of a two-dimensional sociocultural code reflected in Soviet ideology and social practice, overcoming the closure of the country, and using the social and technological innovations of the West. The two-dimensional code did not provide restructuring and transition to post-industrial civilization by borrowing technological and social innovation. Modern ontology of sociality is constructed by synergy of media interactions. Media is a word and deed that designs and formats social reality. At present, the humanities can be anthropologically effective if they turn into media design that designs and formats social reality. The creators of social and anthropological design are social energy actors — scientists, proactive subcultures. The traditional national sociocode is gradually transformed under the influence of globalization, adapted to it, or aggressively extremist enters the fight against postmodernization (fundamentalist extremism). The postmodernization of the Russian society includes its diversification, also manifests itself in a multiplicity of intents into the future. The two-dimensional code of negative identity is overcome, according to the laws of synergy, through chaos and new sociality will be formed either spontaneously or by the method of managed chaos, if domestic managers, who still keep the Russian society in a state of sluggish stagnation, are ripe for it. However, the principle of bifurcation reminds us that the future is ambiguous. Without mastering the art of managed chaos, one cannot take a productive step in social governance and development.

The paper analyzes methodological foundations for selection of educational content about the structure and life of protozoa in the university course Zoology while training bachelors of Pedagogical education majoring in Biology and Chemistry. The authors test the hypothesis that the methodological foundations of the study of protozoa are the achievements of biological sciences, as well as formulated methodological constructs based on the recognition of ecological and evolutionary approaches. General scientific methods of theoretical knowledge as well as methods used at the empirical and theoretical levels of knowledge were used as research methods. The methodological foundations for selecting the educational content about the structure and life of protozoa in the university course Zoology are: general properties of living organisms, levels of life organization, ideas of development and structure, an ecological-evolutionary approach, description of co-evolutionary processes and the role of cognitive models. The belonging of unicellular organisms to the cellular level of life organization does not prevent their description taking into account the structural-functional approach with the substantiation of a close connection between the vital processes of unicellular and multicellular organisms. Methodological attitudes operating in biological knowledge are associated with an orientation towards the idea of development and organization. The study of unicellular organisms biology taking into account the above ideas is guided by ecological and evolutionary aspects. The formulated approach is important from a practical and theoretical point of view. The aspects of the practical application of knowledge about the biology of protozoa include, for example, the study of their role in the life of the biosphere. Evolutionary aspects in the description of protozoa are realized at the phylogenetic and ontogenetic levels.

The educational system in Japan has traditionally been focused on the “one nation, one language” ideology. This has led to the marginalization of indigenous and immigrant languages. As a consequence, heritage speakers are dealing with the loss of their heritage languages. However, there are isolated movements addressing the maintenance of the heritage languages, though they haven’t had a long-lasting effect on the educational system. In an attempt to contribute to reversing this language and identity loss, we based our research on two main points: 1) the belief that creating an informed partnership will help heritage language speakers (HLS) to integrate in the mainstream education space (Cummins, 2014) and 2) confidence in the importance of interconnecting the isolated movements for language maintenance. Would it be possible to achieve it in the Japanese educational context? Can we start scaffolding this new structure of informed partnership from the university level? In order to try to prove this point of view successfully, this article describes the creation at the university level of a class about Heritage languages and speakers in Japan, inspired by the Content and Language Integrated Learning model (CLIL). This class was meant to support and interact with another class called “Spanish for heritage students” that was developed at the same university. The student population is 14, almost half of them with a heritage language or culture. The course duration was one semester. The contents that were selected to reach the class goals are mentioned, as well as some points of view regarding what should be done to shift the Japanese educational system from a homogeneous stance to a multicultural inclusive posture. And in such a short time we could evidence an evolution in students’ critical awareness of the current immigrants’ heritage language and cultural situation in Japan. Working with specific vocabulary, reading from authentic sources, discussing contemporary articles among them, they could give shape to their thoughts in Spanish in order to express their opinions and possible solutions to this important matter.

This paper aimed to analyze how higher education institutions contribute to the creation of technology-based firms. The research method was that of multiple cases, represented by two universities and five technology-based firms in Belo Horizonte. We selected businesses that had as founders students or former students of the researched universities. The results showed that the institutions have robust structures and programs, but still act in a little internally integrated way. In addition, the entrepreneurs do not identify the contribution of their university education in their entrepreneurial trajectory. The study contributes to the understanding of the role of the university in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. From a theoretical point of view, the study identified categories of analysis to evaluate entrepreneurial universities.

As part of a recent workshop entitled "Imagining Tomorrow's University”, we were asked to visualize the future of universities as research becomes increasingly data- and computation-driven, and identify a set of principles characterizing pertinent opportunities and obstacles presented by this shift. In order to establish a holistic view, we take a multilevel approach and examine the impact of open science on individual scholars as well as on the university as a whole. At the university level, open science presents a double-edged sword: when well executed, open science can accelerate the rate of scientific inquiry across the institution and beyond; however, haphazard or half-hearted efforts are likely to squander valuable resources, diminish university productivity and prestige, and potentially do more harm than good. We present our perspective on the role of open science at the university.

<p class="p1">This paper highlights the philosophical issues related to sexual violence cases at the university level. Many reports were found related to the sexual violence cases at the university level, but did not came to a solution that take sides to the victim. This is not just a problem about the unstrict law to handle the cases. There is a basic problem that underline in the mindset and behavior. Rape culture in society failed us to understand that this is a form of violence against humanity. The basis of patriarchal logic also affirms the condition. Based on the standpoint feminism method, also supported by data on sexual violence reports, I pointed the importance of using the feminist logic approach in viewing this issue. I aim to restore the point of view on siding the victim which can provide justice in handling the sexual violence cases at the university level.</p>

Abstract A great deal of effort has been made in recent years to promote multilingual values in academia and society. This was one reason why the University of Helsinki introduced the Bilingual Bachelor’s programme (TvEx) in 2010 to guarantee a sufficient number of bilingual professionals in Finnish society. The aim of this study is to explore students’ reflections on the (learning) challenges they face in becoming bilingual experts. The data consist of lecture observations and 13 semi-structured retrospective interviews with 14 students conducted during 2018–2019. The results show that emerging bilingual students need to build a sense of belonging with both language groups in order to develop bilingual expertise. From the students’ point of view, teaching is experienced as satisfactory in terms of both language and content learning, especially in smaller teaching groups in which students feel safe to ask questions and where they are given individual support. It thus seems that learning in terms of both language and disciplinary content could be improved if teachers were to raise language awareness by explicitly addressing the language agenda of the class at the beginning of each course. They could, for example, initiate a discussion on the language situation(s) in the classroom in order to negotiate a functional set of teaching practices that would suit all students present in the class. Our findings also imply that teachers need to develop more student-centred approaches through which they can help their students to deepen content knowledge and to improve language skills.
