Social capital plays a vital role in a business as so does in seaweed cultivation. The aims of this study are to know the social capital of cultivators and to analyze the relation of social capital toward business successfulness of seaweed cultivators in Liya Mawi village. The variable of the study is social capital, such as trust, network, and norm; and business achievement based on sales volume and income. This study used the descriptive analysis and correlation test with rank spearman correlation test. The result of this study showed that the social capital of seaweed cultivators in Liya Mawi village are in the medium category to high at around 44.68% have medium level of trust and 55.32% have a high trust level and there is no respondents who have a level of low trust category; Networking category is as high as 42.55% and 57.45%, and there are no farmers are included in the category of low network; and the level of compliance with the norm being as much as 23.40% and a high level of norms compliance as much as 76.60%, while for the low category does not exist. The results of data analysis showed that social capital has a relationship with the level of success of the venture, while the views of the elements of social capital, only the network level that has a relationship with the level of business successfulness.

The waste bank is an innovative method to increase knowledge and behaviour to manage household waste. As a collective action at the community level, social capital has a vital role in the management of the waste bank. This study aims to identify and analyse how the level of trust, network, and social norms play a role in creating a sustainable, community-based waste bank management. This research used the qualitative approach and descriptive method. The data collection techniques were carried out using observations, literature studies, and in-depth interviews. The data were analysed using a qualitative-descriptive technique. The study shows that The Lintas Winongo Waste Bank is a community-based waste bank because it was established and managed by community members in RW 11, Bumijo Urban Village, Yogyakarta City. The manager of Lintas Winongo Waste Bank collaborates with several actors to support the management of the waste bank. The Lintas Winongo Waste bank management requires trust between the actors because it is related to the flow of money. The trust between the actors is built through the transparency of the waste bank management process. The network has a role in exchanging information and providing access to various resources required. The strategies to build networking with the actors are communication, shared understanding regarding the purpose of the waste bank, and a shared commitment to support the waste bank management. The social norms are required to maintain the transparency process and trust between the actors. Moreover, the social norm can build awareness of the citizens to manage domestic waste.

<p class="apa">Prior to the vital role that social capital plays in accomplishing prosperity for any educational tertiary institution, it was emphasised in several countries’ agendas, including the Sultanate of Oman. This study endeavours to explore the impediments facing the enhancement of the social capital in Omani educational tertiary institutions through the lens of community engagement. A case study method employing a purely qualitative approach was employed at one of the six public Colleges of Applied Sciences in Oman. Twelve academicians were purposively semi-structured interviewed. Performing the thematic analysis technique, the results revealed more than ten key impediments. Some implications to stakeholders were illustrated and several suggestions were provided for better performances in terms of this specific capital.</p>

In the concept of Nawa Cita, “developing village and urban,” ex transmigration village has important role as initiator in developing economic area and it is expected to be able to create relation (bridging) and contribute in the development of surrounding areas. This research is triggered by that idea, so its aims are to describe : how can the social capital push the development of the area through the perspective of ex transmigration village and local village (bonding)?, how is the bridging- linking pattern created between ex transmigration village and local village, how is linking created institutionally between ex transmigration village and local and central governments. This research conducts qualitative and simple quantitative analysis with the case study of 104 villages (24 ex. Transmigration villages, 80 local villages) in Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province. This research uses potential data and level of village development and level of village poverty and strengthened by related researches and later it is analyzed in descriptive analysis. The result shows that ex transmigration villages develop well, better then local village due to the existence of strong social capital bonding. In other side, the development of village area of ex transmigration village is enclaved and the bridging with the local village is not created, which leads to imbalance development between ex transmigration program which brings ex-transmigration village having better competitive ability.

Purpose: To discover the extent to which customers understand the social responsibility practices by Telecom companies operating in Jordan and their loyalty to these companies.Methodology: A case study questionnaire was administered to 380 respondents dealing with Telecom companies operating in Jordan those companies play a significant role in Jordan economy over a month in 2017, with results from Likert scalesAnalysis using descriptive analysis and correlation to analyze customers awareness and loyalty toward telecom companies operating in Jordan practicing social responsibility. Results: Analysis of 380 suitable responses found no statistically significant differences at the level of (α ≤ 0.05) in customer awareness of social responsibility practices in telecom companies according to the variables of the current study and no statistically significant differences at the level of (α ≤ 0.05) in the loyalty of customers toward telecom companies ,it also found a positive correlation of statistical significance at the level of (α ≤ 0.05) between customers awareness and the social responsibility of telecommunications companies and their loyalty to those companies.Recommendations: (1) Telecomm companies should continually improve to achieve a high level of social responsibility as well as achieve greater loyalty from their customers (2) Telecom companies should do what is necessary to raise the customers awareness level of social responsibility through the advertising and action of their front line employees.

Social Capital is the most crucial asset which significantly influence the efficacy and resilience of any community. Social capital is a dependent variable that depends upon the competence and coherence of the individuals in the community and mode of social relationships, trust and networks they maintain. It is one of the most sustainable social resources that originate from human relations and results on the mutual support of people. Utilization of Social capital has a wide applicability in the process of social inclusion, especially in dealing with the vulnerable and disadvantaged sections in the community itself. Voluntary organizations are very keen to utilize the social capital for community/social services and community development in a sustainable manner. Community based de-institutionalized Palliative Care is one of the foremost among such organizations that made social capital in a strategic way for social inclusion and community well being. This paper analyses the extent to which different elements of social capital helps in initiating the sustainable community based palliative care movement by assessing the unique intervention strategies carried out by the palliative care. This paper explores conceptual questions of how social capital and voluntary community based services are correlated. A case study method was adopted for the study in which ten palliative care units were analyzed. The results show that a number of social capital elements are playing a vital role in the sustainability of community palliative care movement in Kerala.

<p align="center"><strong>ABSTRACT</strong></p><pre><em>                </em><em>Farmer groups are a forum for farmers to make it easier for farmers to carry out their farming, if the farmer group runs effectively in accordance with the goals of the group. Effective farmer groups cannot be separated from the role of group leaders. The head of the farmer group has an important role in supporting the group to achieve its group goals. Based on the background described, then </em><em>the purpose of this research are to know: the effectiveness of paddy farmer group; the leadership level of farmer group; and the relationship between leadership of farmer group leader with the effectiveness of farmer group in Sukoharjo Sub District of Pringsewu Regency. This research was conducted in Sukoharjo Sub District Pringsewu Regency, with 73 respondents of paddy farmer.  Data was collected by using survey method with descriptive analysis and using statistical non parametric test rank spearman correlation to test hypothesis.  The results showed that</em><em> paddy farmer group in </em><em>Sukoharjo Sub District had a high level of effectiveness, had a medium level of leadership of farmer group leader; and leadership of farmer group had significant relationship with farmer group effectiveness.  </em></pre><p> </p><p>Keyword:<em>  effectiveness, </em><em>farmer group</em><em>, leadership.</em></p><p align="center"><strong> </strong></p><p align="center"><strong>ABSTRACT</strong></p><p>Kelompok tani merupakan wadah bagi petani agar memudahkan petani dalam menajalankan usahataninya, jika kelompok tani berjalan secara efektif sesuai dengan tujuan kelompoknya. Kelompok tani yang efektif tidak terlepas dari peran ketua kelompok. Ketua kelompok tani memiliki peran yang penting dalam mendukung kelompok mencapai tujuan kelompoknya. Berdasarkan latar belakang yang telah diuraikan, maka tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui: keefektifan kelompok tani padi sawah; tingkat kepemimpinan ketua kelompok tani; dan hubungan antara tingkat kepemimpinan ketua kelompok tani dengan keefektifan kelompok tani padi sawah di Kecamatan Sukoharjo Kabupaten Pringsewu.  Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kecamatan Sukoharjo Kabupaten Pringsewu, dengan 73 petani responden. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode survey, dengan anilisis deskriptif dan menggunakan uji statistik korelasi <em>rank spearman </em>non parametrik untuk menguji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kelompok tani padi sawah memiliki tingkat keefektifan yang tinggi, memiliki tingkat kepemimpinan ketua kelompok yang sedang, dan kepemimpinan ketua kelompok tani memiliki hubungan yang nyata dengan keefektifan kelompok tani.</p><p> </p>

The developent of madrasa should not depend on financial capital, like infrastructure and media. There is another variabel which has an important role, that is social capital. If the two variables are maximally used by the headmaster, madrasah will increase rapidly, moreover that madrasa has geneologically the big mass basis. Practically, there are many madrasas that have that two modals, but only few of them can manage to be a power to develop madrasa.  One of them is Madrasa Istiqomah Sambas Purbalingga, which uses social capital, espesially trust, as a strategi in developing madrasa, despite the fact that it does not stand under a certain religious organization.  So, the research question of this study is how MI Istiqomah Sambas Purbalingga build and manage the social capital of trust. In addition, this reseacrh will find out a good strategy in developing madrasa and strengthening the social capital. To collect data, the writer performed observation and interviewed some informants and collect some needed documentation. The collected data were then analyzed and connected to the theory used and finally was made conclusion. The conclusion of this research is that social capital of trust was built by philosophical, practical and institutional trust. The inclusive character of madrasa can also help to build trust.

The establishment of oil palm companies let impact on society.  The purpose of this study was to know the social and economic impact of  the establishment of oil palm company on the community. This research was conducted from May to July 2019 in Loleng Village, Kota Bangun District, Kutai Kartanegara District. Oil palm company exists in there namely PT. Prima Mitrajaya Mandiri.  Number of respondents was as many as 44 respondents divided into two parts, namely 22 respondents are residing close to the company and 22 respondents are living far away from the company. The method of data analysis that used was descriptive analysis. The research results showed that oil palm company let  positive impact on the community who live near to the company. The establishment of  company opens employment opportunities,  increases people's living standards, and opens business opportunities.   The company gives many help for community lives near the company such as financial assistance to orphans, school repair assistance, and road repair assistance. People who live far away from the company  did not have the positive impact.
