The issue of waste management is still a thorny problem for Indonesia. This is because most of the waste produced by households still ends up in the Final Disposal Site (TPA). Meanwhile, the capacity of landfills, especially in big cities, is getting full. In fact, it is not easy to find land to open a new TPA to accommodate the garbage collected from the community. The purpose of this community service is to teach the residents of Kepuh Village to process household dry waste. The qualitative method used in this activity uses socialization and guidance. The stages in data analysis using qualitative methods are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the discussion in this community service are [1] Implementation of Waste Bank Socialization at the Chairman's House [2] Dry waste collection [3] Waste sorting at Residents' Houses and [4] Implementation of waste bank at Village Hall. The conclusion is that people do not understand the effect of dry waste disposal on the environment, fostering independence with dry waste processing practices.

Garbage is one of the problems in the city of South Tangerang (Tangsel). Tangsel produces approximately 880 tons of waste every day. The increase in population has an impact on increasing the volume of waste from households. One of the methods used by the Tangsel city government to reduce waste is through the waste bank program since 2012 a total of 208 Waste Banks have been formed, however, only 50 percent are active. By looking at these conditions, there needs to be efforts to empower women in reactivating waste banks in Tangsel City. One of the newly developed waste banks is the “yes” waste bank. This waste bank is located in RW 10, Cipayung Village, Ciputat District, South Tangerang. The purpose of this activity is to increase independence by empowering the potential of RW 10. The target of this PKM program is to form community awareness to sort waste, train the attitudes of RW 10 residents to have a conscious behavior in sorting waste in supporting independent waste management, developing economic skills. The method that will be applied to achieve the goals / targets of the PKM program is a combination of several approaches, namely through counseling, training, mentoring. Gondosuli Village is located in Muntilan District, Magelang Regency, and has a high population growth rate, economy, and development, all of which contribute to increased community activities. This causes waste production to continue to rise; additionally, there are issues with waste management from upstream to downstream, namely a lack of waste reduction, which leads to waste accumulation in landfills. This is due to a lack of proper management, which consists of only collection, disposal, and transportation. As a result, the community service is carried out by planning for a solid waste management system capable of reducing waste from upstream. The cultivation of maggots from organic waste is an upstream system approach that can be used to solve the waste problem. BSF maggot cultivation has several advantages, including the production of pre-puppa, which can be used as a source of protein for animal feed, and aiding in the resolution of the community's organic waste processing problem. The concept of integrated waste management (TPS 3R) can be combined with a waste bank to reduce waste disposal in the TPA while also providing economic value.

Inorganic waste is a type of waste that is difficult to decompose naturally by microorganisms. Inorganic waste processing is carried out by collecting, disposing and transporting it to the final disposal site (TPA). There needs to be an effort to utilize inorganic waste, especially plastics, into useful products. People in Limbungan Village, Rumbai Pesisir District, Pekanbaru City already have a waste bank, but the benefits have not been felt by the community because inorganic waste is still being disposed of. There is a need for efforts to socialize and educate the public to process inorganic waste into handicraft products that have economic value. The method is carried out by educating the public about waste processing in general and demonstrating the use of plastic waste into handicraft products. After the counseling was carried out, the community had knowledge about waste management in general and skills in processing plastic waste into handicraft products such as bags, candy containers that were suitable for use and worthy of sale

The results of this study show implementation of waste management programs In Surabaya City such as the depletion of disposable plastic usage, the existence of waste bank units, until the presence of a solid waste power plant infrastructure. However, the program implementation has not been able to decrease the number of resource in Surabaya landfill. It is because of poorly coordination between government and society, and the lack of environmental awareness about the harm of waste resource to environmental health. Thus, the existence of zero waste concept combined with Islamic-science prespective could lead direction movement to appreciate the importance of proper and correct waste management. Waste is an inseparable impact of human activities, both the result of organisms or natural processes. Waste that is not managed properly will cause problems, especially those related to public health and environmental hygiene. The amount of garbage piled up every day is quite large and the majority comes from residential waste. Therefore, it is necessary to manage waste through 3R (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle). However, the implementation of 3R activities in the community is still constrained, especially by the lack of public awareness to sort waste. The purpose of the community empowerment is to increase public health literacy through the 3R principles at the waste bank in Wonosuko Hamlet, Tegalrejo, Magelang. The method used in this community service activity is to use the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approach by socialization, training and mentoring. The results of this service activity indicate that after the training there was an increase in awareness in establishing a healthy environment by implementing 3R through a waste bank in the Wonosuko Hamlet, Tegalrejo, Magelang.

One of the alternatives to reduce waste in Indonesia is the establishment of a Waste Bank. The role of waste bank actors is not the same as collectors or scavengers, they are expected to have entrepreneurial and personal characteristics. The purpose of this study is to analyze the forming factors of entrepreneurial activity in waste banks that contribute to the growth of a sustainable waste processing business. This research was conducted in Sawangan Depok. The first research stage collected primary data using a questionnaire on 111 active waste bank actors using the purposive sampling technique, then analyzed the data using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results showed that the goodness fit criteria were met and the measurement variables in the model had good reliability (CR≥0,70, VE≥0,50). The entrepreneurial activities of waste bank actors are most influenced by entrepreneurial characteristics (γ = 0,70) and resources (γ = 0,63). The entrepreneurial characteristics of the waste bank actors are well shaped by motivation (λ = 0,40), risk (λ = 0,49), and innovation (λ = 1,00). The implication is that to grow a sustainable waste bank requires an innovative character for the waste bank actors.
