It investigated the influence of self-efficacy on the students’ academic competence. These were with a view to providing information on factor that could influence the academic competence of secondary school students. The study adopted descriptive survey research design. The population for the study comprised senior secondary school students in Osun State. The sample size comprised 600 respondents, selected using multistage sampling technique. One Local Government Area (LGA) was selected from each of the three senatorial districts in the State using simple random sampling technique. From each LGA, four senior secondary schools were selected using simple random sampling technique (12 schools in all) and from each school, 50 students were selected from senior secondary II using simple random sampling technique. Three instruments were used to collect information for the study, namely: Academic Competence Evaluation Scale (ACES), and General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES). Data collected were analyzed using percentages and ANOVA. The results showed that 9.41%, 60.21% and 30.37% of secondary school students in Osun State demonstrated low, moderate and high levels of academic competence respectively. The results of the study also indicated that there was a significant positive influence of self-efficacy on academic competence of the students (F =69.35; p<0.05). The study concluded that self-efficacy influenced academic competence of secondary school students in Osun State.

This study aims to analyze the independent learning of students in mathematics through e-learning in class IX SMP Negeri 10 Gorontalo. This research is a descriptive research type, with a population of all class IX students of SMP Negeri 10 Gorontalo, totaling 101 students, consisting of 4 classes. The sample in the study was 20 people using a simple random sampling technique. The data obtained were obtained from student learning independence questionnaire sheets, as well as interviews with students related to students' learning independence in mathematics through e-learning. Based on the results of the research and discussion that the researcher has described in the previous chapter, that the learning independence of students in mathematics through e-learning is seen based on five indicators of learning independence divided into three categories namely high, medium and low categories. There are 4 high category students with an answer percentage of 20%. Second, there are 13 students belonging to the medium category with an answer percentage of 65%. Third, there are 3 students in the low category with an answer percentage of 15%. Of the three categories, in general, students only fulfill part of the indicators of learning independence measured in this study. So based on this, it can be concluded that the independent learning of students in mathematics through e-learning in class IX SMP Negeri 10 Gorontalo is still classified as moderate, so it needs to be improved.

This study aims to determine the differences in student learning outcomes using Geoboard and Geopuzzle on quadrilateral and triangular material in Senior High School. This research is an experimental research using 2 experimental classes which use different props in each class. The research sample was taken from two classes consisting of 54 students using the Simple Random Sampling technique. While the instrument of student learning outcomes in the form of post-test with a significant level of 5%. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that there are significant differences in student learning outcomes between the average value of the experimental class 1 using geoboard of 71.70 and experimental class 2 using a geopuzzle of 62.04. The study aimed to identify the influence of independence for the mathematics  student learning in SMP Al Irsyad Surakarta. The subject of this research are all students of class 8 SMP Al Irsyad Surakarta, which consisted of 120 students and the samples chosen  with random sampling are 49 students in 3 class in the school year 2020/2021. Samples  were taken using the Random sampling technique. The data of independence for the mathematics student learning using a questionnaire. This study using quasi experimental research. The prerequisite using the normality test and linearity test. The normality test by using Kolmogorov Smirnov and the linearity test by using Anova. When the a prerequisite fulfilled, so followed by the Linear Regression. The result showed there are significant impact study of independent learning. Independent learning have a positive influence of mathematics students, although the result is still below 50%. This may be affected by the lack of knowledge students learn about independence, so not been undertaken in full.
