The objective of this study is to examine factors affecting Indonesia’s rubber export performance to Indonesia’s 15 main trading partners after the implementation of ACFTA. This research employs Bergstrand Gravity Model (1985) using 105 observation for 15 countries from 2004 to 2010. Then, the gravity model is estimated by applying random effects (RE) model. The results show that, first, GDP per capita of Indonesia’s main trading partners have significantly positive impact on export. Surprisingly, distance has significantly positive effect on Indonesia’s rubber export. Further, Indonesia’s rubber major export destinations are the member of ACFTA, i.e. China and Singapore. Last, some of the non member countries are still potential to be Indonesia’s rubber market. Therefore, the Government of Indonesia should increase trading with them.

This study aims to analyze the impact of the tariff and non-tariff policies implementation of the importing countries on the export performance of Indonesian processed tuna. A cross-sectional gravity model analysis was conducted to find out the impact of these policies on exports. The variables used include GDP per capita of the importing countries, population, economic distance, export prices, actual exchange rates, tariff policies, and non-tariff policies in the form of sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) and technical barriers to trade (TBT). The estimation shows that the variables of GDP per capita of the importing countries, population, exchange rates, export prices, and SPS give a positive and significant effect on the trade of Indonesian processed tuna commodities. On the other hand, economic distance and TBT policy give a negative and significant impact on the volume of this particular commodity. Meanwhile, the tariff policy implementation also give a negative effect on the export volume, but it is not significant.   Keywords: cross sectional gravity, export performance, non-tariffs, tariffs

Organization of Islamic Cooperation or OIC is an association of Islamic countries in the world which is made up of 57 countries, including Indonesia. OIC has great potential as a destination for the export market. The purpose of this study is to analyze the competitiveness of Indonesian exports to OIC and determinants that influence it. Competitiveness of commodities analyzed using the RCA, IIT and EPD, while the determinants of export using the gravity model analysis. The results showed that 86,7 percent from fifteen commodities that have the largest export value had RCA more than one and seven commodity have market position as rising star, but from IIT analysis showed that integration of economics still not strong enough. Factors that influence a positive and significant impact on Indonesia's commodity exports to OIC are per capita income, real exchange rate and a common language, while the negative effects are the gdp per capita difference, economic distance and tarrif. Key words: RCA, IIT, EPD, Gravity Model

Countries in Europe, China and USA are the main destination of Indonesia's CPO exports so that in order to avoid more significant declining in value and export volume because of trade war and the existance of CPO black campaign, Indonesia must take a diversified step, especially for export market diversification. This study illustrates the condition of Indonesian CPO competitiveness in non-traditional markets, measures the position of Indonesia CPO export market attractiveness, and analyzes factors influence CPO exports. Data used are secondary data obtained from various resources. The time series and cross sections data consecutively consist of variables from 2002 to 2017 and 11 nontraditional importing countries. Time series variables consist of volume export of Indonesia CPO, exchange rate, export price, Indonesia GDP, importers GDP, and economic distance. X–model product export potential and gravity model were used to address the objectives. Indonesian CPO has optimistic market development potential because Indonesia CPO has strong competitiveness and in a rising star position. The analysis result with gravity model showed the factors affecting Indonesian CPO export to nontraditional countries was exchange rate, Indonesia GDP, importers GDP, and economic distance. Government role is important to initiate a long term trade agreement which benefits both parties.

The Gravity Model considered one of the important models in foreign trade, because it is used to explain the most important determinants of the state export of it’s exporting goods and determine competitive state for exports of the country in world market of its exports, besides it give an idea about most important countries in exporting export goods. The study aims to determine most important factors affecting on flow of Iraqi skins to world market, and measuring influence of these factors and determine suitable model to understand most important determinants of foreign trade of Iraqi skins with most important trading partners. The study proved that per capita of GDP, quantity of commodity produced by country, quantity of commodity exports from country to global market and export price (FOB) of commodity, were the most important determinants of flow of Iraqi skins to global market, because these factors formed about (%53) of determinants of flow of Iraqi skins to global market. By analyzing the model of most important determinants of flow of Iraqi skins with most important trading partners (Jordan and UAE), the study found that the most important determinants of flow of Iraqi skins with most important trading partners were per capita of GDP representing economic size of two partners, number of population in two partners and the distance between trading capitals of them with invers sign. These factors compatible with gravity trade model between states, and these factors determine (%89) of happening changes in flow of Iraqi skins to most important trading partners.

Indonesia's trade balance to India had been decreasing since 2013. That has been affected by the downward trend in agricultural export value of Indonesia. This problem has raised Government’s attention to increase the export performance. This research aimed to analyze the determinants of Indonesia’s leading agricultural commodities export to India. Panel data regression model was explored to analyze secondary data of the range year 2001 to 2017. The factors examined in this study were India’s real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita, Rupiah exchange rate, export price of Indonesia agricultural commodities and India’s import tariff. Model testing used the Chow, Hausman and Lagrange tests to compare and select the best model. The determinant of the variables testing used statistical and classical assumption tests. The results showed that India’s real GDP per capita has positive influence to the export value which means an increase in the purchasing power of trading partners would increase the value of exports. The Rupiah exchange rate has negative influence to the export value which means that the depreciation of rupiah to dollar causes a decrease in the export value. The export price of Indonesia’s agricultural commodities have positive influence on the export value, however the tariff has no effect. The policy that can be suggested to the government is to provide support and encourage domestic producers to increase exports to India.
