The purpose of this study is to determine the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of phET media-assisted incuquencing model learning tools to improve problem solving skills and generic skills of student physics design. The research design used is Research and Development (R&D) design with 4D Model (define, design, develop, &disseminate). The learning tools developed include: syllabus, Lesson Plan, Student worksheet, Test instruments, and PhET media. The feasibility data of the defense device is obtained from the validation results of 3 expert validators and 3 practitioner validators. Validation results show syllabus, Lesson Plan, test instruments and Media PhET in very valid category and Student worksheet valid category. The reliability of the learning pre-level with an average of 92.3 % indicates that all components assessed are in the realiabel category. The practicality of learning skills is projected from the results of teacher responses, the implementation of learning is in the category of very practical and the response of learners with practical categories. The effectiveness of learning skills based on N-gain problem solving skills and generic skills of physics science learners, obtained an average of N-gain of 77 and 78 respectively with a highly effective category. Based on these results, it was concluded that the learning skills of the phet media-assisted incugate model are feasible, practical and effective to improve problem solving skills and generic skills of the students' physics

This research aims to develop problem-based learning model learning tools with multiple intelligences approaches to improve the effective physics problem-solving skills of learners. This research is research and development with 4D models defined, designed, developed, and disseminated. The products developed in the form of syllabus, lesson plan, student worksheet, and instrument tests of learners’ problem-solving and logical-mathematical skills. The validity of the product was assessed by six validators, namely three lecturers and three practitioner teachers with a Likert scale analysis. After the validity test, the learning device was conducted a limited trial that aims to measure the effectiveness of learning devices to get N-gain test scores through questionnaires about the ability to solve problems and mathematical logic of learners and efficiency determined from the response of teachers and learners. The results of the study based on assessments from validators showed the overall device averaged above 3.27 with excellent categories. Then the average result of the N-gain test obtained a value of 0.69 with a moderate category. Based on the results of the analysis of the response of learners to the module showed positive criteria with the acquisition of 66.7%. These results can be concluded that the developed product is effectively used in learning

The purpose of this study is to determine the validity of the physics learning devices with post organizer models assisted by videos. The research design used research and development (R & D) design with 4D model (define, design, develop, & disseminate). Learning tools developed are sylabus, lesson plan, learner worksheets, understanding of concept, and learning video. This paper only focused on the process of testing the validation of the contents and constructs of the learning tool. This study is restricted to limited testing by taking the results of validation from the validator and questionnaire of response from students. Validation results using CVR and CVI indicate learning tools in the very feasible categories and reliable. The results of limited trial show that students’ response of 99.94% and 98.31% with very good categories. So it can be concluded that tools with post organizer models assisted by learning videos are feasible and can be used in physics learning.

ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian dan pengembangan pendidikan (R&D) ini adalah untuk (1) mendeskripsikan spesifikasi perangkat pembelajaran dengan model problem solving dan penalaran deduktif pada topik laju reaksi, (2) mendeskripsikan validitas dan tingkat keterbacaan, dan (3) mengetahui keefektifan dari perangkat pembelajaran melalui uji coba pendahuluan. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini konsisten mengikuti prosedur Borg dan Gall (1989) yang terbatas pada tahap uji coba pendahuluan mampu mewujudkan perangkat pembelajaran saintifik dengan efektif. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan meliputi RPP, LKS, teks materi pelajaran, dan instrumen penilaian. Keseluruhan perangkat pembelajaran menyajikan materi dengan urutan pembelajaran yang sama, yakni sesuai dengan pendekatan saintifik yang diamanatkan oleh kurikulum 2013 dengan model pembelajaran problem solving melalui penalaran deduktif. Hasil validitas dan uji keterbacaan perangkat pembelajaran menunjukkan tingkat validitas yang memadai dan tingkat keterbacaan yang baik. Hasil uji coba pendahuluan di kelas XI SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja menunjukkan perolehan belajar siswa yang signfikan yakni skor postest lebih tinggi dari skor pretest dan kualitas NGS yang tergolong sedang baik per indikator maupun keseluruhan, perkembangan skor kinerja proses 5 M siswa cenderung mengalami peningkatan serta adanya apresiasi/ respon yang baik dari siswa selama mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran saintifik yang dikembangkan. Kata kunci: laju reaksi, model pembelajaran problem solving, penalaran deduktif, pendekatan saintifik, dan perangkat pembelajaran. ABSTRACT The aims of this educational research and development (R & D) were to (1) describe the specification scientific learning tools with problem solving learning model through deductive reasoning on topic reaction rate, (2) describe the validity and readability, and (3) determine the effectiveness of learning tools through preliminary field testing. This research and development consistent followed Borg and Gall (1989) model limited until preliminary field testing produce scientific learning tools effectively. Learning tools that were developed including lesson plan, student worksheet, learning material text, and assessment instruments. The whole of learning tools presented content with similar learning squncing, which is in appropriate with scientific approach instructed by 2013 curriculum with problem solving learning model through deductive reasoning. Validation result showed that learning tools had satisfy validity level. Learning tools also had satisfy readability level and can be comprehended by students. Preliminary field testing in class XI SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja showed a student learning outcomes that were significant namely the postest score higher than pretest score and NGS quality medium categorized on each indicator or overall, the score development of students’ performance processes 5M tended to increase and there was good appreciation / response from students in learning using the scientific learning tools which is developed.  Keywords: deductive reasoning, learning model, learning tool, problem solving model of teaching, reaction rate, and saintific approach.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan LKS biologi berbasis masalah yang layak untuk topik perubahan lingkungan/iklim dan daur ulang limbah serta mengetahui keefektifan penggunaan LKS biologi berbasis masalah terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan karakter peduli lingkungan siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan menurut model Borg & Gall. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket validasi LKS, angket karakter peduli lingkungan, soal kemampuan pemecahan masalah, lembar observasi penilaian produk daur ulang limbah dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa LKS biologi berbasis masalah layak untuk topik perubahan lingkungan/iklim dan daur ulang limbah dilihat dari hasil penilaian pada aspek kelayakan isi, kebahasaan, penyajian dan kegrafikan termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik, LKS biologi berbasis masalah efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan karakter peduli lingkungan siswa.Kata Kunci: LKS biologi berbasis masalah, kemampuan pemecahan masalah, karakter peduli lingkungan Developing Problem-Based Biology Worksheet to Improve Problems Solving Skills and Environment Care Character AbstractThe purposes of this research are to produce a proper problem-based biology worksheet for the topic of environment/climate changing and waste recycling and to know the effectiveness of using the problem-based biology worksheet on the students’ problem solving skill and environment care character. Keterampilan pemecahan masalah penting untuk dikembangkan pada proses belajar mengajar agar peserta didik mampu memecahkan masalah yang  dihadapi secara realistis. Adapun fokus dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan validitas dan kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran dengan metode problem solving melalui model pengajaran langsung pada materi usaha energi. Validitas perangkat dapat ditinjau dari hasil lembar validasi perangkat yang dinilai oleh dua validator. Kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran yang digunakan dapat dilihat dari lembar pengamatan keterlaksanaan RPP ketika diterapkan pada 22 peserta didik kelas X MIPA 2 di SMA Negeri 12 Banjarmasin yang diamati oleh dua orang pengamat. Data selanjutnya dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan 1) valid berdasarkan hasil penilaian validator dengan kategori baik; dan 2) praktis berdasarkan keterlaksanaan RPP dengan kategori sangat baik. Disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembalajaran dengan metode problem solving melalui model pengajaran langsung pada topik usaha dan energi yang dikembangkan berkategori valid dan praktis untuk diimplementasikan dalam proses pembelajaran. Problem solving skills are important to be developed in the teaching and learning process so that students are able to solve problems realistically. The focus of this research is to describe the validity and practicality of learning materials with problem solving methods through direct teaching models on work and energy. The validity of the learning materials can be reviewed from the results of the learning materials validation sheets which are assessed by two validators. The practicality of the learning materials used can be seen from the observation sheet of the implementation of the lesson plan when it is applied to 22 students of Class X MIPA 2 in SMA Negeri 12 Banjarmasin observed by two observers. Data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results showed that the learning materials developed 1) were valid, this was based on the results of the validator assessment in both categories; and 2) were practical, this is based on the implementation of the lesson plan in the very good category. It was concluded that the learning tools with problem solving methods through direct teaching models on the topic of work and energy were developed in valid and practical categories to be implemented in the learning process.

<p>The research is motivated not yet using CTL approach. In addition, the study provided yet foster the character value of students. This study aimed to the development of learning materials by using CTL approach with the integration of character value are valid, practical, and effective. The type of this research is research and development by using 4-D models. The stages of this research are define, design, and development. The define stage consists of analyzing of curriculum, students, and concept. Then, the learning materials as lesson plan, handout, student’s worksheet, and evaluation, were designed at design stage. The development stage was doing validity, practicality, and effectiveness test. The data of this research was collected by using validation instruments, questionnaire of students and teacher, observation and test instruments. The result of research with validity of the test results showed that the syllabus, lesson plans, teaching materials, worksheets and assessment sheets (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) developed very valid. The test results showed that the learning practicalities developed very practical. Based on the results of efficacy trials, it was stated that the developed learning very effectively used as learning tools are developed to improve the activity and competence of students in the cognitive, affective and psychomotor and behavioral character. And Those, learning materials by using CTL approach with the integration of character values are classification of very valid, very practical, and effective.</p>

Engineering education has become challenging compared to previous decade, the readiness of graduates before entering employement world is vital for the academician. Students are expected to possess all generic skill sets as needed by a qualified engineer including knowledge profile, engineering ability, communication, teamwork, and other relevant skills. In Malaysia, engineering graduates should possess 12 programme outcomes (PO) according to ETAC requirement, throughout the whole curriculum structure in diploma level. However, capstone course in Diploma Civil Engineering in UiTM only measures 3 main programme outcomes which are problem solving and scientific skills, communication skills, and ethics in engineering. The implementation of capstones course is reviewed for 3 consecutive semesters and student attaintment based on grade and programe outcomes is observed. This paper provides the assesment tools that had been mapped to programme outcomes through out 14 week lesson plan for final year students in Diploma Civil Engineering.This study was conducted in UiTM Pasir Gudang to measure the attainment of student’s skill set based on programme outcomes stated in the syllabus. It shows that, a graduate is considered to be good in communication skills and ethics in engineering but average in problem solving skills and scientific skills. Thus, a few recomandations have been made to improve the skills attainment among students at the faculty level.

Learning the Quran and Hadith is one of the subjects given at Madrasah Tsanawiyah. Ideally, this learning effectively achieves the goals of National education, especially those related to understanding the main points of Islamic teachings and the proper way of practicing them in everyday life. Preliminary studies indicate that learning the Quran and Hadith is still not able to achieve the goals or ideals outlined by the curriculum. The Quran and Hadith material still dominantly emphasizes memorization/knowledge and is still far from solving problems (problem-solving skills). This study aims to develop learning the Quran and Hadith to instill the values of social care and become learning that challenges students' intellect and curiosity. The method used in this research is Research and Development, which steps in the form of a Preliminary Study, Development, and Product Testing. The development of the Social Inquiry model in learning the Quran and Hadith is significantly proven to be able to the teacher's social inquiry stating that in implementing learning, developing student creativity increases in learning. It can be interpreted that learning the Quran and Hadith based on social inquiry is practical to be implemented.
