This study aims to compare whether there are differences in analytical thinking skills between classes that use guided inquiry models and conventional classes that use discussion methods and to find out whether guided inquiry models can improve analytical thinking skills in class X SMA. This type of the research is a quasi experimental research that uses a pretest posttest control group design. The population of this research were students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Kalasan and class X SMA Negeri 1 Prambanan. The sample in this research were 4 classes with a total of 104 students. Sampling in this research was conducted by cluster random sampling. The results of the t test obtained the value of sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000, the probability value is less than 0.05, which means that there are differences in analytical thinking skills in the guided inquiry class and the conventional class. The gain score test results obtained a value of 0.71 with a high category, meaning that the use of the guided inquiry model can improve analytical thinking skills in class X SMA

[EXPERIMENT OF ENZYME KINETICS USING GUIDED INQUIRY MODEL FOR ENHANCING CREATIVE THINGKING SKILLS] Purpose of this study was enhancing creative thinking skills of students using guided inquiry model through experiments of enzyme kinetics based on local materials. Method of this research was quasi-experimental methods, with pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. Subjects of this study were chemistry students enrolled in biochemistry lab course, consisted of 18 students in the experimental class and 19 students in control class. Instrument in this study were essay test that involves 3 indikators of creative thinking  skills (i.e. fluency, flexibility, and elaboration) and also student worksheets. The results showed that the experiments of kinetics enzyme  using guided inquiry model have been enhance creative thinking skills in medium category with a value of N-gain average of 0.66. Two indikators classified in the high category are fluency and elaborationwith the value of N-gain 0,71. Meanwhile, indikator of flexibility in the medium category with a value of N-gain 0,56.

This research using a quasi experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design using the pretest-posttest score test and creative thinking ability questionnaire. Research data was obtained through tests. The results a research show that (1) there was a significan influences a CrPS learning model on students 'creative thinking abilities, (2) there was the influence of the CPS learning model on students' thematic learning outcomes.</p><p class="Abstract"><strong>Abstrak:</strong><em> </em>Tujuan penelian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan perbedaan antara kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan hasil belajar tematik yang diterapkan dengan model pembelajaran CrPS di kelas eksperimen serta siswa yang diterapkan dengan model konvensional di kelas kontrol. Penelitian ini menggunakan <em>design quasi eksperimen </em>dengan rancangan <em>nonequivalent control group </em>dengan menggunakan nilai tes <em>pretest-posttest</em>. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes dan angket kemampuan berpikir kreatif. This research aims to determine differences in mathematical critical thinking skills between students who obtain mathematics learning using Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Guided Inquiry model. The research method used quasi-experimental with matching-only posttest-only control group design which implemented in one of the Junior High School of Yogyakarta. The instrument used is a valid test instrument namely posttest with descriptive evaluation. The result of this research showed that there is a difference of mathematical critical thinking skills between students who obtain mathematics learning using PBL model and students who obtain mathematics learning using guided inquiry model. Furthermore, the average of mathematical critical thinking skills between a student who obtains mathematics learning using problem based learning model is higher than students who obtain mathematics learning using guided inquiry model.

The purpose of this study is to determine the increase in students critical thinking skills after using e-modules oriented towards scientific literacy. This research is a quasi-experimental study using the Design Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest. The research sample consisted of 2 classes, namely class XI MIA 8 and XI MIA 10. The analysis results using the independent sample t-test obtained that a significance value of 0.026 <0.05. The results of the analysis of critical thinking skills test data using the N-gain score test for the experimental class obtained a value of 77.2% including the very high category. While the average N-gain score for the control class obtained a value of 55.2% included in the medium category. It can be concluded that there are significant differences in students critical thinking skills in the experimental class with the control class.

Having low social skills can make individuals experience difficulty adjusting to  a new environment. The purpose of this research is to validate "CAKAP" module to improve social skills. This study used a quantitative approach with the quasi-experimental design of The Untreated Control Group Design with Pretest and Posttest. Social skills scale, observation sheet, and evaluation sheet were adiministrated to 14 freshmen from Bali who joined in Keluarga Mahasiswa Hindu Dharma (KMHD).  The test results of the content validity of the module using Aiken's V shows a value ranging from 0,734-0,861 for each session which means the module has good content validity. Empirical test results showed that there was a difference gained score between experimental group and control group (z = -2,194, p = 0,026, p <0,05). The results show that the module "CAKAP" is valid to improve social skills on freshmen from Bali.

Berdasarkan hasil observasi, wawancara, dan data hasil belajar IPS kurang maksimal dikarenakan kurangnya variasi model pembelajaran dan minimnya penggunaan media. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keefektifan model kooperatif Talking Stick berbantuan media audiovisual terhadap hasil belajar IPS dan mendeskripsikan aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi experimental dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah cluster random sampling, dengan sampel sebanyak 111 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa nilai thitung (3,333)>ttabel (2,022) yang berarti model kooperatif Talking Stick berbantuan media audiovisual efektif terhadap hasil belajar IPS. Hasil uji n-gain kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol (0,524545>0,298035) kriteria sedang. Pengamatan aktivitas siswa menunjukkan rata-rata skor aktivitas siswa kelas eksperimen lebih baik dibandingkan kelas kontrol (75%>56%). Simpulan penelitian ini adalah model kooperatif Talking Stick berbantuan media audiovisual efektif terhadap hasil belajar IPS dan meningkatkan aktivitas siswa kelas IV SD Gugus Garuda Karanganyar Demak. Based on observations, interviews, and the obtained learning outcomes data, it showed that social studies outcomes were less maximal because lack of variation learning model and less of using instructional media. This research aims to examine the effectiveness of the Talking Stick cooperative model assisted by audiovisual media and to describe students activity on learning process. This type of research is quasi experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The sampling technique is cluster random sampling, with 111 students as samples. Data collection used test, observation, interview, and documentation. Hypothesis test results indicate that tcount (3,333)>ttable (2,022) which means the Talking Stick cooperative model assisted by audiovisual media is effective on social studies learning outcomes. The N-gain test results of the experimental class are higher than the control class (0.524545>0.298035) moderate criteria. The observation shows the average score of the experimental class student activity is better than control class (75%>56%). The conclusion of this research is the Talking Stick cooperative model assisted by audiovisual media is effective in social studies learning outcomes and  increase students activity of 4th grade elementary school of cluster Garuda Karanganyar Demak.

Guided inquiry learning encourages students to be more active in learning so that students' creative thinking skills can be developed. Guided inquiry learning model will assist students in empowering creative thinking skills. Creative thinking skills are described as mental activities that foster original ideas and new understandings. This study aimed to determine the effect of the guided inquiry learning model on the creative thinking skills of Class X MA Miftahul Ulum Bettet Pamekasan. The population in the study were all students of class X MA Miftahul Ulum Bettet Pamekasan second semester 2020/2021, while the samples used were class X IPA B and IPA C. The experimental class and control class each consisted of 20 students. This research is a quantitative research with quasi-experimental research method with pretest posttest nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The results of this study indicated that guided inquiry has a significant effect on creative thinking skills. Guided inquiry learning model can be a reference in learning (especially in biology) to empower students' thinking skills.

Analytical thinking is a skill to unite the initial process, plan solutions, produce solutions, and conclude something to produce conclusions or correct answers. This research aims to 1) determine whether there are differences in students' mathematical, analytical thinking skills between classes that use the Open-ended learning method and classes that use the lecturing method, 2) to find out whether there are mathematical, analytical thinking skills differences between students with high, moderate, and low self-awareness criteria, and 3) to find out whether there is an interaction between Open-ended learning method and self-awareness toward students' mathematical-analytical thinking skills. This research employs a quasi-experimental design. Based on the data and data analysis, this research is mixed-method research, and the design used in this research is the posttest control group design. This research was conducted on students who have studied the Real Analysis Courses. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it was found out that, first, there are differences in students' mathematical-analytical thinking skills between the class that uses the Open-ended learning method and the class that uses the lecturing method. Second, there are mathematical-analytical thinking skills differences between high, moderate, and low self-awareness criteria. Third, there is no interaction between the Open-ended learning method with self-awareness of students' mathematical-analytical thinking skills.

Numerous challenges occur in education field require effective solutions to encounter. The aim of this research was to investigate the effectiveness of guided inquiry model with starter experiment approach in teaching science process skill. This quasi-experimental research employed non-equivalent control group design. A total of 64 students of X MIPA1 and X MIPA5 was selected as the sample. In selecting the sample, the researchers applied cluster random sampling while the data was collected by using test. The data was analyzed using ANCOVA after underwent prerequisite normality and homogeneity tests (α = 0.05). The results showed that the mean of posttest was 79.33%. The improvement of science process skill was 44.88%, compared to the pretest results. The results of ANCOVA revealed that the significance value was of 0.025. This means that the guided inquiry model with starter experiment approach in teaching science process skill of the students is effective.

During the last 10 years, it is estimated that there has been a significant increase in hypertension patients, which has contributed to the death of approximately 8 million people annually worldwide. The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences in the effectiveness of Indonesian bay leaves solution and cucumbers in elderly with hypertension at Puskesmas Moncobalang, Gowa Regency in 2019. The research method was quantitative with Quasi Experimental design and Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The results of the Wilcoxon statistical test on Indonesian bay leaves solution with a value of Pvalue 0,005 <0,05, this means that Ho has been rejected and Ha has been accepted. The average pretest score of 3,80 is smaller than the average posttest score of 1,80. Thus, there is the effectiveness of boiled Indonesian bay leaves solution in elderly with hypertension. Likewise, the Wilcoxon statistical test results on cucumbers showed a value of Pvalue 0,004 <0,05, this means that Ho has been rejected and Ha has been accepted. The means of blood pressure pretest is 3,80 which is smaller than the posttest average value of 2,50. This research inferred that the juiced cucumber is effective in treating elderly with hypertension. In conclusion, there is no difference in effectiveness between boiled Indonesian bay leaves solution and juiced cucumber in treating elderly with hypertension at Moncobalang Health Center, Gowa Regency.
