Síntese: o sacramento da Penitência-Reconciliação passa por mais uma crise em sua história. A superação dessa crise requer aprofundamento na teologia e abertura na pastoral. Na teologia, são fundamentais os conceitos de penitência, confissão e reconciliação, bem como o fato de que é na reconciliação com a Igreja que se realiza a reconciliação com Deus. Na pastoral, vemo-nos diante de dois desafios. O primeiro consiste na educação dos fiéis e das comunidades para o autêntico sentido da Reconciliação; o segundo, em assumir as aberturas do Ritual da Penitência e avançar a partir delas na renovação desse sacramento de importância decisiva na existência cristã, porém, ainda muito necessitado de aprofundamento teológico, litúrgico e pastoral. Somente uma renovação séria e corajosa fará com que o sacramento da Reconciliação cumpra a missão que lhe cabe na existência dos fiéis, das comunidades e na edificação da Igreja.Palavras-chave: Salvação. Penitência. Confissão. Reconciliação. Pastoral.Abstract: The sacrament of Penance-Reconciliation is going through another crisis in its history. To transcend this crisis, we need a deeper theology and a more open pastoral. In theology, the concepts of penance, confession and reconciliation are fundamental, and also fundamental is the fact that it is through the reconciliation with the Church that the reconciliation with God is made. In the pastoral, we find ourselves faced with two challenges. The first is how to teach the faithful and their communities the true meaning of reconciliation; the second is to take the openings of the Rite of Penance and from them proceed towards the renewal of this vitally important sacrament in Christian life, a sacrament that is still very much in need of further theological, liturgical and pastoral studies. Only a serious and courageous renovation will make the Sacrament of Reconciliation fulfil its mission in the existence of believers and communities and in the edification of the Church.Keywords: Salvation. В XVIII в. на основании общего интереса к святыням Востока, а также единой тенденции для крупных монастырей изготавливать гравюры на память для паломников, многие греческие гравюры свидетели русско-афонских отношений попадают на территорию Российской Империи. Сохранились такие гравюры и в Церковноархеологического кабинете Московской духовной академии, собрание которых насчитывает 29 эстампов. Пять гравюр из этого собрания имеют надписи на греческом и на славянском языке. Надписи свидетельствуют о месте и времени создания гравюры, о граверах и заказчиках, являются источниками кратких исторических сведений. В статье приведены выявленные дополнительные факты об этих гравюрах, которые свидетельствуют о наличии церковных, экономических и политических отношений на базе культурных связей между Российской Империей и странами православного Востока. The Russ has always been supporting the relationship with the Orthodox Church of the East. As a result of these connections, we have a lot of icons and other gifts from The Mount Athos, The Saint Catherine’s Monastery and others holy places. There are five Greek engravings in the collection of The Museum of Church Archaeology at the Moscow Theological Academy, which have inscriptions in Greek and Slavic. These engravings were to be spread in Slavic countries. They are dated from the 17th to the 19th century. Some of them were made in Moscow. The images and the inscriptions of the engravings are the subject of a research presented in this article.

Among the relics in the treasury of the church of St Catherine at Maaseik in Limburg, Belgium, there are some luxurious embroideries which form part of the so-called casula (probably ‘chasuble’) of Sts Harlindis and Relindis (pls. I–VI). It was preserved throughout the Middle Ages at the abbey church of Aldeneik (which these sister-saints founded in the early eighth century) and was moved to nearby Maaseik in 1571. Although traditionally regarded as the handiwork of Harlindis and Relindis themselves, the embroideries cannot date from as early as their time, and they must have been made in Anglo-Saxon England. Indeed, they represent the earliest surviving examples of the highly prized English art of embroidery which became famous later in the Middle Ages as opus anglicanum.

The Church of the Nativity in
Blenheim is in two distinct structural types. The nave, narthex and tower are
of brick veneered reinforced concrete
and steel portal frames constructed
about 1959 to replace an old timber building. Check calculations showed this to generally meet latest code requirements. The transept and chancel was, prior to the strengthening work, of unreinforced brick masonry built about 1906 - with some reinforced buttresses and reinforced concrete bands. The whole building is roofed with concrete tiles. The initial assessment of the building was made in terms of Clause 301A of the Municipal Corporation Act in 1976. This building is regarded as one of Blenheim's finest older buildings and the members of the Church did not wish to lose, or detract from, its character, either by obvious strengthening or rebuilding.

In the small town of Ceregnano, not far from Rovigo in Veneto, a new parish church was built in the 18th century. Its richly ornamented high altar has a monumental tabernacle with two large marble angels in adoration. The author has established that the altar was made in the tradition of analogous works produced by Giorgio Massari, and that the accurate date of its construction is 1778, the year carved at the rear of the tabernacle dome. Moreover, models have been found for the Ceregnano angels, namely the marble statues of angels at the high altar of the Benedictine church of St Mary in Zadar, produced between 1759 and 1762 by the famous Venetian sculptor Giovanni Maria Morlaiter. More precisely, the Ceregnano angels were made after Morlaiter’s terracotta models for the angels of Zadar, preserved at the Ca’Rezzonico museum in Venice. A stylistic analysis of sculptural decoration at the Ceregnano altar has allowed the author to attribute it to Giovanni Maria’s son Gregorio Morlaiter (Venice, 1738 – 1784), heir to his father’s workshop. The same master has been attributed with a small tabernacle with putti installed in 1776 on the high altar of the church of Sant’Andrea della Zirada in Venice.

At the end of the second Christian millennium, Christians united in the church of different denominations and ceremonies. The most devoted ones are looking for ecumenical paths, "that all be one." However, every person is free in his own way to build ties with the Lord. But, as emphasized by the first Metropolitan Rusich Ilarion in the "Word of Law and Grace," every person and the whole people are responsible before God. This statement is based on the authority of biblical texts. Therefore, Christians must worry not only about their own salvation, but also about the best, most natural and most useful arrangement of the Christian life of their nation.

The development of Christian morality takes a long journey which was started when the Church was born. There were many typical moral cases faced by the Church at each period of time. From one period to another one, moralists came out to solve the cases by giving the right assessment according to the Church’s way of life. A period which was well-known in the journey of Christian morality is the period of the Fathers of the Church. The principle of Christian morality is love which is based on the Gospel and the commandment of Jesus Christ. This was documented in Didache which was used by the Christians at that time. It was the principal moral document of early Christianity. In the development, it was then added by other principals: freedom and justice which were applied in the Christian life. The three principals (love, freedom and justice) formed Christian attitude in respecting other Christians and all people which is applied perfectly by Augustine. The following development of Christian morality was the development of the practice and the profound of what had been laid down before by the Fathers of the Church, with addition of the figure which is excelling in the life as Job, who had been interpreted by Gregory the Great. This writing is ended at this point, because the research is limited from the beginning up to the first development of Christian morality during the period of the Fathers of the Church.

This paper will examine the nature of the Eucharist as a “sacrament of peace”, a sacrament by which the Christian believer is reconciled to Christ and the Church. While, properly-speaking, the Sacrament of Reconciliation is the ordinary means of this activity, one sees that the Eucharist provides a healing balm for sin, enflames the soul with the fire of charity, and reveals itself as both a symbol of peace already realized and a sign of peace yet to come. This “sacrament of peace” bestows God’s peace to the Church, which, in turn, commissions the Christian to embody this peace through works of mercy and initiatives of justice. Through this, we see the social and missional implications for a community centered around the Eucharistic table. Helpful to this investigation will be the Eucharistic theology of the late Orthodox theologian, Alexander Schmemann and Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI.

The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life. Many faithful celebrate the Eucharist: some experience the Eucharist's impact, but many do not feel the impact of the Eucharist on their daily lives. The Eucharist is the memory of Christ's sacrifice on the cross. He himself is present at the Eucharist. Therefore the Eucharist is a source of grace and blessing to the lives of the faithful: to bring the fruits of redemption and to be the source of life for the faithful; building–living–reviving the Church. The Eucharist is also a source of repentance and forgiveness as well as a source for developing faith, hope, and love. The Eucharist is the offering of Christ and His Church. Therefore, in the Eucharist the faithful offer their entire lives to be transformed into a source of life and blessing for them and the whole world. In the spirit of repentance, the faithful are also called to offer themselves in faith, hope and love. Celebrating the Eucharist and seriously believing its truths will illuminate the daily lives of the faithful and grow in love for the Eucharist, so that they grow in love for God and others in Christ.

For a long time, the role of women was restricted and even prohibited from being involved in church ministry. Even more specifically, there are still views that prohibit or reject the role of women as pastors in the church. Some have used the text of 1 Corinthians 14:34-35 and 1 Timothy 2:9-15 as a biblical foundation to strengthening this views. However, the I see that these two texts can’t be used as a biblical foundation to prohibiting or rejecting the role of women as pastors in the church. Therefore, I will reinterpret these two texts by paying attention to the context of the text and its literary elements. This is necessary to find the true meaning what Paul told in both of texts. Based on this interpretation, it will found that Paul did not prohibit the involvement of women in church in every place and time. Paul's words in the text were responded to the problems faced by the church in each text and cannot be applied absolutely in every place and time
