Reflection and translation material are critical to be mastered by students in learning transformation material. However, reflection and translation material are still difficult for students to understand. Therefore, this study aims to develop a learning trajectory that will assist ninth-grade students of Junior High School in grasping the notion of reflection and translation in the context of the Sam Poo Kong Temple in Semarang. The research used the design research method, which consisted of three stages: the preliminary design, the design experiment (pilot experiment and teaching experiment), and retrospective analysis. The PMRI approach was used to develop learning activities in this research. This study involved 32 ninth-grade students at a junior high school in Semarang city. The results of this study is a learning trajectory that includes a series of learning processes in four activities. These are observing the Sam Poo Kong Semarang video and analyzing the properties of reflection, finding the reflection formula, analyzing the properties of translation, discovering the translation formula, and solving contextual problems related to reflection and translation. The activities conducted can enable students to develop a better understanding of material reflection and translation. The research's findings indicate that using the Sam Poo Kong Semarang temple context can equip ninth-grade students to comprehend the concept of material reflection and translation. Additionally, the outcome of this study offers additional local wisdom options that can be used as a context in mathematics.

This study deals with lexical density of English reading texts in the textbook of junior high school. The objectives of the study are to find out the lexical density of reading texts of English in Focus textbook, the text which has the highest lexical density in the reading texts, and the reason of the text which has the highest lexical density in reading texts. This study was conducted by descriptive qualitative method. The data of this research were the English reading texts of English in Focus textbook for ninth grade students of junior high school published by National Education Department. The result of the analysis showed that: (1) The lexical density of procedure texts are 5.90, 5.08, 5.5, and 4.69, report texts are 5.92, 4.22, 4.06, and 3.64 and narration texts are 2.92 and 2.90. The score showed that the lexical density of eleven reading texts on English in Focus textbook for ninth grade of junior high school is categorized medium based on the Halliday’s theory. It means that the texts are not difficult, easy to understand and suitable for ninth grade students of junior high school. (2) The highest lexical density of the reading texts is report text entitled “The Chinese Influence in Indonesian Visual Art” (5.92) because of the higher number of lexical items than grammatical items, few clauses and more vocabularies of words. (3) Report text has the highest lexical density because of the high proportion of lexical items in the text and it also because of the generic structure, language features and the style of writing report text.

This study is limited to the investigation of the correlation between students’ learning strategy, and reading comprehensionof the ninth grade students at State Junior High School 01 Buay Rawan, OKU Selatan. There were 85 students who has been selected as the sample of the research. The writer used correlational study and formula to see the correlation between two variable stated. Correlation about Students’ Learning Strategies (X2) and Reading Comprehension (Y) for 0.028. Sig. Value 0.797 was higher than Alpha value 0.05 (0.797 >0,2146), Ho was accepted and Ha was rejected. In other words, there was no a positive correlation between Students’ Learning Strategies (X2) and Reading Comprehension(Y). It can be stated that Students Learning Strategies (X) simultaneously have no significant correlated the reading comprehension(Y).

This research is conducted in order to improve students’ reading comprehension in the easiest way through using think pair share of the ninth grade students of Junior High School Era Ibang Medan, and it also help the English teacher of the ninth grade students of Junior High School Era Ibang Medan to managed activities in classroom. In conducting this research, the researcher used Classroom Action Research (CAR) as the method of research. This research consisted of two cycles and each cycle consisted of four steps, they were planning, action, observation and reflecting. Each cycle was conducted in three meetings, so the researcher conducted this researcher in six meetings for one month and two weeks. The data were in the form of qualitative and quantitative data. The qualitative data was analyze the learning teaching process. The quantitative data was to count the students’ score in pre-test and post-test.The result of this research shows that using think pair share of the ninth grade students of Junior High School Era Ibang Medan could improve their reading skills. The students’ responses showed that they were interested in learning reading through think pair share. Morever, the students’ achievements in pre-test and post-test showed a significant improvement. The students’ average score in pre-test was 53,19%, while in the formative test in cycle I, the students’ average score is 60,03, and in the post-test cycle II, the students’ average score is 76. That means the think pair share can improve the students’ reading skill.

An essential part of learning transformation geometry is rotation. Before learning more about other parts of the transformation geometry topic, such as translation, dilation, and reflection, firstly, students are required to understand well about rotation. However, several students have not been able to understand this subject properly due to the stages of learning in the rotation has not been appropriately arranged. Thus, this study aims to design a student learning trajectory in learning rotation, which develop from informal to formal level through the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (IRME) approach. Furthermore, researchers used a design research method divided into three stages, namely preliminary design, design experiments, and retrospective analysis. This study describes how the bamboo woven motif contributes significantly to 31 ninth-grade students understanding the rotation concept. As a result, the woven bamboo motif's context can stimulate students' understanding of rotation. It is proven based on the strategies and models of students during their learning process which contributes to their fundamental knowledge of rotation.
