The social distancing policy in the COVID-19 outbreak has influenced the non-holistic learning process, causing several moral problems. The learning process tends to promote the cognitive aspect, while the affective aspect tends to be neglected. This research aims at offering a learning model that promotes religious ethical values through religious education in junior high schools (SMP/Sekolah Menengah Pertama) in an effort to develop effective attitudes. The development of the model is carried out in five stages of research, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE). This research involved two groups of participants consisting of 376 students and 45 Islamic Education (PAI/Pendidikan Agama Islam) teachers in junior high schools in West Java. The research results explore the PAI learning model that develops religious ethical values as learning objectives. The process of internalizing these values is developed through the processes of knowing, of doing, and of being. Religious ethical values that are developed in students are the crystallization of four prophetic characters, namely fathonah, siddiq, amanah, and tabligh. The test results of two junior high schools, both public schools and religious-based schools, concluded that the application of the religious ethical learning model was able to improve students' religious ethical character at a high level. This research contributes to the development of PAI learning designs in the pandemic era based on the development of prophetic characters. In addition, this research can be a guideline for teachers or academics in developing research related to student character within the framework of character education.

The pilot study on the implementation of education at Junior High Schools (SMP) revealed that gender bias is still present in various aspects. In the learning, it was found that some materials were not gender responsive, learning interaction sometimes caused one of the parties to be discriminated, and the teacher’s and students’ sentences contained stereotypes. One of the subjects which has the potential for and contributes to gender bias is Social Sciences (IPS). As a subject which correlates with the practices of social life, Social Sciences reflects the gender bias as an existing reality. Other subjects which are potential for gender bias are Natural Sciences, Arts and Cultural Arts and Crafts, and Language. In Natural Sciences and crafts, the bias is often found the existence of interaction. In the Natural Science practicum class, which is correlated with animals, there is often a higher ratio of male to female students. On the other hand, on the practice of crafting class, female student levels are typically higher. In language subjects, it was found that the use of discourse and sentences did not show gender equality and justice, often depicting males in strategic roles and the females in domestic roles. A learning model needs to be developed with regards to the values of gender equality and justice, from the earliest years of schooling. This study sought to identify nthe basic competencies and learning aspects which are gender biased. The results are followed up by developing the gender-responsive Edu Gender Unity learning model. The development involved the subject teachers as the researcher’s partner in designing, developing, and trying out the gender responsive learning model design. The development of this learning model is intended for Indonesian Language, Cultural Arts and crafts, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences subjects. The development consists of (1) the formulation of gender responsive indicators, (2) teaching materials to achieve the gender-responsive competence, and (3) learning strategies which correspond to achieve gender-responsive competence. The focus of this article is on the effectiveness of the cooperative learning models in Peer Tutor and Two Stay Two Stray high schools in terms of students' physics learning activities. The purpose of this study was to identify how effective the cooperative learning models were Peer Tutor and Two Stay Two Stray junior in high schools. Data obtained in journal writing comes from international and national journals, book documents, proceedings, thesis articles, and websites that relate to the object of research and then analyzed using text analysis techniques. The results showed that the cooperative learning models were Peer Tutor and Two Stay Two Stray suitable for junior high school students considering that this age was a transitional period. from concrete times to formal times. The task of being a tutor in this peer tutoring learning model is that they (the tutors) must try to get new relationships and relationships that are strong with peers, find their own role, and develop intellectual and social skills. While the learning model is Two Stay Two Stray also very easy to apply in all levels of class, especially for learning Physics in junior high because basically like a discussion group. Both learning models can be used effectively in all subjects, especially physics and for all ages, students, especially in junior high schools, so that students' physical learning activities are more optimal.
