The results of the learning test show that almost more than half of the students have not been able to solve the questions well, so learning improvements or innovations are needed. Problem based learning is one of the recommended learning models in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum because this model is proven to be able to stimulate higher-order thinking skills by designing problems in real contexts. The purpose of this action research is to improve learning outcomes and student motivation in the application of the Problem Based Learning model in learning physics. The subjects of this study were students of class XI MIPA 2, Public Senior High School 12 Pekanbaru. This research is a classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles. The results of this study obtained test data on the learning outcomes of students in cycle I with absorption of 75.25%, in cycle II absorption of 81.29%, motivation of students in learning cycle I and cycle II in good categories.

Abstract: This study aims to determine the increase in activity, motivation and student learning outcomes through the application of the model Problem Based Learning (PBL) in class XI MIPA 1 MAN Enrekang on cell material. This type of research is a classroom action research (CAR) which consists of 2 cycles. The subjects in this study were students of class XI MIPA 1 MAN Enrekang. The type of research instrument used was a learning activity observation sheet, a learning motivation questionnaire and a learning outcome test in the form of multiple-choice tests of 20 items for each cycle of cell material. The data obtained were analyzed statistically descriptive. The results showed that (1) there was an increase in the biology learning activities of students in class XI MIPA 1 MAN Enrekang namely classically from 66.47% increased to 80.03%, the amount of increase from cycle I to cycle II was 13.56%; (2) an increase in biology learning motivation of students in class XI MIPA 1 MAN Enrekang that is classically from 82.87% to 86.97%, the amount of increase from cycle I to cycle II is 4.11%; (3) an increase in biology learning outcomes of students in class XI MIPA 1 MAN Enrekang namely from 59.38% of students who completed to 96.88%, the number of increases from cycle I to cycle II was 37.50%. These results indicate that the application of the Problem Based Learning model can improve the activity, motivation and learning outcomes of students of the XI MIPA 1 MAN class Enrekang. Keywords: Problem Based Learning, activity, motivation and learning outcomes

Applying eclectic learning means combining two or more learning models to be applied at one time. This article aims to analyze students' motivation and learning outcomes in participating in a combination of learning from problem based learning (PBL) with cooperative learning. This research is weak-experimental using static-group pretest-posttest design. A total of 52 students (male= 35, female= 17) 8th grade junior high school were taken using the cluster random sampling method. Motivation data are collected using a questionnaire, while learning outcomes use skills tests. PBL as the main model combined with cooperative type team game tournament (TGT) and jigsaw is applied as a treatment. Data analysis using descriptive statistics and t-test. The results showed that motivation [t(25)= 51.97, p= 0.000] and learning outcomes [t(25)= 13.41, p= 0.000] increased significantly in the PBL-TGT group. Likewise with motivation [t(25)= 48.88, p= 0.000] and learning outcomes [t(25)= 11.74, p= 0.000] in the PBL-Jigsaw group. There was no difference in increased motivation (t(50)= 0.963, p= 0.34) and learning outcomes (t(50)= 0.000, p= 1.000) in the two groups. It can be concluded that PBL is compatible combined with TGT and Jigsaw in increasing motivation and learning outcomes.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between intrinsic motivation and learning outcomes of nursing college students who took the Fundamentals of nursing as a problem-based learning method. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, we identified the intrinsic motivations of 114 nursing students who completed problem-based learning using the Intrinsic Motivation Inventory. The t-test was conducted to identify differences according to intrinsic motivation, and correlation analysis was performed to confirm the relationship between intrinsic motivation and learning outcomes. Results: The group with higher intrinsic motivation showed higher scores in all domains of self-assessed learning outcomes than the lower group. It was the ‘Relatedness with an instructor’ that showed the highest correlation with the learning outcomes in the domains of intrinsic motivation. Conclusion: Problem-based learning is an effective learning method for cultivating the competencies needed for nurses. The intrinsic motivation of students is an important factor in the performance of problem-based learning. For the efficiency of problem-based learning, efforts should be made to develop and apply autonomy-supportive interventions that can enhance intrinsic motivation.

This study aims to analyze the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model to develop learning motivation and learning outcomes in citizenship education learning. The use of PBL models in this study aims to help students develop investigative skills to be able to solve the problem at hand. The method in this study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and is used in the pre-test and post-test design groups. The subjects in this study were 34 students in SMP Negeri 6 Yogyakarta. The data analysis technique used "t" test with SPSS 16 assistance program and N-gain score test. The results of this study indicate that the PBL learning model on the values of the Pancasila material as a basis for the country and the national outlook on life significantly influence student motivation and learning outcomes. In this case, the PBL model can develop learning motivation and learning outcomes in the medium category.

This study aims to improve students' motivation and learning outcomes through learning Social Scienceby applying the model of Problem Based Learning. This research is motivated by the problems that occur in the classroom, namely the lack of motivation and student learning outcomes. The design of this study used a classroom action research model consisting of three cycles, each cycle conducted in two meetings, including the planning stage, action implementation, interview observation, documentation, analysis and reflection. The results showed that through the application of Probem Based Learning model can improve the motivation and learning outcomes of students with Social Sciencelearning on the material of the historical relics of the Buddhist kingdom in Indonesia. This can be seen from the results of observation and analysis which shows that the assessment of RPP cycle I reached the percentage of 67.5% enough category, cycle II reached the percentage of 77.5% good category, cycle III reached the percentage of 90% very good category. Implementation of learning in the first cycle reached the percentage of 62.9% enough category, cycle II reached the percentage of 77.5% good category, cycle III reached the percentage of 90% very good category. While the results of students' learning motivation cycle I reached the percentage of 65% enough category, cycle II reached the percentage of 75.7% good category, cycle III reached the percentage of 88% very good category. Similarly, the results of student learning that meets the value of KKM in cycle I reached the percentage of 59% enough category, cycle II reached the percentage of 73% good category, cycle III reached the percentage of 90% very good category. Classroom action research ends in cycle III because the aspects studied are considered to have succeeded in achieving the indicator of achievement determined. This is because the model of Problem Based Learning is the appropriate learning resources for student development in Social Sciencelearning related to daily life. Based on the above description, it can be concluded that the model of Problem Based Learning can improve the motivation and student learning outcomes with Social Sciencelearning on the material of the historical relics of the Buddhist kingdom in Indonesia.
