E-learning is an electronic distance learning system that uses network and computer technology. There are many models of using e-learning, one of which is the use of e-learning at Bina Darma University during the COVID-19 pandemic, where more use of e-learning and online learning systems during the pandemic period, for this reason the quality of e-learning services can be measured using Webqual. Webqual is a method used to measure website quality based on end users. Webqual is structured in research on 3 dimensions, namely Usability, information, and service interaction. This study aims to determine the quality of the e-learning website of Bina Darma University as student learning taken by 101 students and to find out the most influential indicators in the quality of e-learning. If the alpha value is greater than the R table, then the consistency of the R table is declared valid. On the Likert test scale, it is known that the usability dimension or indicator gets the highest usability level, so the usability dimension has a positive effect on user satisfaction.

Lately, user quality of experience (QoE) during their interaction with a system is a significant factor in the assessment of most systems. However, user QoE is dependent not only on the content served to the users, but also on the performance of the service provided. This chapter describes a novel QoE layer that extends the features of classic adaptive e-learning systems in order to consider delivery performance in the adaptation process and help in providing good user perceived QoE during the learning process. An experimental study compared a classic adaptive e-learning system with one enhanced with the proposed QoE layer. The result analysis compares learner outcome, learning performance, visual quality and usability of the two systems and shows how the QoE layer brings significant benefits to user satisfaction improving the overall learning process.

This chapter examines the development of online learning systems, how they incorporate reusable learning modules and how various forms of assessment are employed to improve the quality of the learning outcomes. Corporations are adopting online learning, or e-learning, at a dramatic rate, partly driven by a desire for cost reduction and partly to ensure that all staff have the required skills and ability to their jobs. Organizations are increasingly linking the systems for delivery of this learning into human resource management systems. Universities, despite some movement to e-learning are in a position to learn form the developments in the corporate world. A case study is used to illustrate many of the concepts discussed. In conclusion, the chapter suggests how these corporate experiences might be transferred into the academic world and sounds a note of warning for the universities if they fail to match the corporate offerings.

Defining, measuring, and achieving quality of e-learning systems are not an easy task. Accordingly, one of the most essential goals for the higher educational institutes is how to reach a high and satisfied level of quality in their learning systems. Achieving such level needs adequate and continuous improvements for the whole e-learning environment elements. Therefore, we aim in our work to construct a unified framework for total quality management system (TQMS) that attempt to satisfy the quality requirements, needs, and standards. The objective of this paper is to present a quality control model for e-learning system that adopts the e-learning platform according to the on-line determination of both user's requirements and global standards. This paper proposed software architecture of quality Management framework for e-learning that could be adopted by different higher education institutes to control the quality of the e-learning process, and assure the quality of the e-learning process outcome. The proposed framework is based on a tri-dimensions quality model. The three dimensions are set of quality requirements for e-learning environment represented in Quality Assurance (QA) policies that will be formalized by using policy based approach, the specifications of e-learning platform that provide learning and teaching activities, and quality control process loop. The architecture for monitor and ensure quality control of the QA policies for e-learning system will deliver the whole learning services in an optimal way. It is also flexible and can be implemented over any e-learning system.

Aspects of usability or usability in the user's point of view when using and utilizing a product. The use of an inappropriate method in developing the design will increase the number of requests to improve the product after it is finished. Inappropriate method of selecting methods for design development Usually occurs in applications based on Graphical User Interface (GUI), e-commerce websites, cellular services, and also technology in the field of education called e-learning. E-learning is one technology that develops a distance learning system that provides a variety of solutions where the Internet is the medium. Supported by the development of technology supported by smartphones can also be used for the learning process. With the existence of smartphones, students will more easily access learning materials, and teachers will also be easier to share the material to be received. To support the effort to obtain the level of user satisfaction without leaving the specific purpose of making the application itself a user centered design (UCD) method can be applied. UCD is a method that helps users. With the application of this method users will be satisfied and comfortable when using with the system. Based on the concepts of the UCD method and the problems that occur in e-learning especially the University of Jember E-Learning application, it can be seen that the UCD method is suitable to be applied in the development of mobile-based Universitas Jember e-learning applications with the aim of making it easier students and lecturers in the learning process at the University of Jember. This research was conducted in 3 stages, namely data collection, analysis, and system development. The data collection phase consists of literature studies, and questionnaires. The analysis phase is done by processing the data from the questionnaire and conducting usability testing. The development phase is done by building a mobile-based e-learning application. The results of this study are the University of Jember M-Learning application.

Since 2020, Saudi administrations have provisionally closed educational institutions to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. At the time, employing technology was imperative to accelerate learning efforts and offer methods of enhancing interactions between learners and among learners and tutors. In this review, I first describe the e-learning systems that were used in higher education before the pandemic. Then, I investigate the impact of COVID-19 on Saudi higher education and how universities and public educational institutions responded to the pandemic. In the conclusion, I argue that policymakers, university sectors, and syllabi developers should unify national e-learning strategies, integrate technology in a systematic way, and design e-learning curricula to meet the needs of an ever-advancing world and revolutionise the learning process.

This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with teacher and grade IV student research subjects. The data collection techniques used are questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of research conducted the effectiveness of online learning based on whatsapp is seen from 4 aspects with the results of presentase calculations showing that the quality of learning (39%) with weak criteria, learning level (38%) with weak, intensive criteria (48%) with sufficient criteria and time (58%) with sufficient criteria. Overall whatsapp-based online learning conducted in Babakandesa State Elementary School is considered less effective. Seen from the many problems that occur in the online learning process, including the limitations of internet quota, less stable internet network and difficulty in understanding the material provided by teachers through whatsapp application.

Today many products are designed to be reasonably easy to use so, in addition to usefulness, product usability is of great importance. Usability means simply using or simply learning to use a tool or device. In software engineering, usability is the degree to which certain users can effectively use software to achieve their goals in the context of use. Usability assessment involves measurement methods, such as analyzing consumer needs and examining perceptions of product efficiency and product attractiveness. In human-computer interaction, studying usability means the analysis of attractiveness and clarity of an application which is designed to interact with a computer program or web site. Usability takes into account both user satisfaction as well as the usability and quality of the component under study, while striving to improve the user experience through iterative product design. The basic problem of the research project was the pilot assessment of the suitability of our own method of testing the usability of the Sakai online learning platform in integration with the BigBlueButton conference call program. The article presents the most important results of assessing our own method of testing the usability of the learning platform on groups of students and lecturers participating in the e-learning process and project (CPK) testers. The testing was performed on the basis of the evaluation of the test subjects' introspective insight into their own expression of emotional reactions by means of a questionnaire and analysis of mimics, gestures and proxemics from the videos of the test subjects by the testers. The statistical significance of the differences between the groups was performed by Kullback 2Ȋ test of the independence hypothesis.
