ABSTRAK Fisika adalah ilmu yang sangat erat dengan kehidupan sehari-hari dan menjadi tonggak perkembangan teknologi. Oleh sebab itu, mata pelajaran fisika diberikan pada siswa-siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Pembelajaran Fisika harusnya menekankan pada pengalaman langsung untuk mengembangkan kompetensi agar siswa mampu memahami fenomena alam. Hal ini akan membantu siswa untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih mendalam. Akan tetapi, banyak sekolah-sekolah di Indonesia tidak memiliki peralatan yang cukup memadai untuk menunjang pembelajaran eksperimen, termasuk beberapa SMA di daerah Surabaya dan sekitarnya. Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika sebagai institusi yang mencetak calon guru-guru fisika perlu memberikan andil dalam mengatasi keterbatasan yang dimiliki oleh SMA-SMA di Surabaya dan sekitarnya. Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika memiliki peralatan dan sumber daya manusia yang cukup memadahi sehingga memungkinkan untuk mengadakan program pengabdian masyarakat berupa Pendampingan Eksperimen Fisika untuk Siswa-Siswa SMA. Program ini telah terlaksana sejak September 2018 hingga April 2019 melibatkan 14 sekolah mitra dengan jumlah siswa yang berpartisipasi sebanyak 1259 siswa. Kegiatan ini mendapatkan respon yang baik dari pihak sekolah, guru fisika, dan para siswa. Melalui kegiatan ini, keterbatasan peralatan eksperimen di sekolah cukup teratasi. Para siswa juga antusias sebab dengan kegiatan eksperimen pembelajaran fisika menjadi lebih menarik.Kata Kunci: eksperimen fisika; pengabdian kepada masyarakat; sekolah menengah atas.ABSTRACT Physics is closely related to our daily life and becomes a fundamental subject for technology development. That is why physics is given to high school students. The physics learning process should emphasize direct experience to guide students in understanding phenomena in nature. The direct experiment will stimulate students to develop their in-depth knowledge.   However, most schools in Indonesia, including in Surabaya, do not have adequate experiment apparatus to support that physics learning activity with experiments.  Department of Physics Education, as an institute that educates pre-service physics teachers, should contribute to solving the limitation of some senior high schools in Surabaya. Department of  Physics Education in Widya Mandala Catholic University has sufficient experiment facilities and human resources to conduct a community service program in the form of Physics Experiment Assistance for High School Students. The program has been conducted from September 2018 until April 2019. There are 14 schools attendinng this program, with 1259 students involved. This program gains positive responses from school principals, physics teachers, and students. Through this program, the limitation of several high schools in providing experiment facilities can be partially solved. Students who involve in this program are enthusiastic because, through experiments, physics learning activity becomes more interesting. ABSTRAKPengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan pada beberapa sekolah menengah atas di daerah Banjarmasin ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan  pemanfaatan teknologi sebagai media pembelajaran.Pengabdian ini berfokus pada pemanfaatan teknologi berbasis perangkat lunak Android pada ponsel siswa sekolah menengah atas di daerah Banjarmasin untuk digunakan sebagai media belajar. Sehingga pelajar tidak merasa jenuh saat melakukan aktivitas pembelajaran. Berdasarkan observasi dan pembagian angket pada 34 siswa di 5 sekolah menengah atas daerah Banjarmasin didapatkan bahwa lebih dari 80% siswa-siswa di sekolah menengah atas masih menggunakan media konvensional dalam memahami sebuah materi pelajaran. Selain itu penggunaan teknologi dalam memahami materi pembelajaran didapatkan siswa dari internet dan hanya sedikit yang mengetahui bahwa sudah ada aplikasi-aplikasi berbasis android yang bisa digunakan sebagai salah satu media pembelajaran. Hal ini menjadi salah satu faktor pendorong rendahnya minat anak untuk belajar sehingga ada anggapan jika mata pelajaran tertentu sangat sulit dipahami, terutama mata pelajaran berbasis sains. Salah satu solusi yang coba ditawarkan adalah penggunaan aplikasi berbasis android sebagai media pembelajar. Hal ini ditunjang dengan gaya keseharian pelajar zaman sekarang yang tidak terlepas dari penggunaan gawai. Sosialisasi penggunaan aplikasi kepada siswa sekolah menengah atas menunjukkan hasil yang positif, dimana siswa merasa terbantu untuk memahami materi pembalajaran. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari respon pengisisan kuosiener setelah pengenalan aplikasi, dimana lebih dari 95% responden merasa lebih mudah memahami materi dengan adanya aplikasi android. Kata kunci:pendidikan; perangkat lunak; teknologi. ABSTRACTThis community service which was carried out at several senior high schools in the Banjarmasin area aims to introduce the use of technology as a learning medium. This service focuses on the use of Android software-based technology on the mobile phones of high school students in the Banjarmasin area to be used as learning media. So that students do not feel bored when doing learning activities. Based on observations and questionnaires distribution to 34 students in 5 high schools in the Banjarmasin area, it was found that more than 80% of students in high schools still used conventional media in understanding a subject matter. In addition, the use of technology in understanding learning material is obtained by students from the internet and only a few know that there are Android-based applications that can be used as a learning medium. This is one of the factors driving children's low interest in learning so that there is an assumption that certain subjects are very difficult to understand, especially science-based subjects. One solution that is being offered is the use of Android-based applications as a learning medium. This is supported by the daily style of students today which cannot be separated from the use of gadgets. The socialization of the use of the application to high school students shows positive results, where students find it helpful to understand the learning material. This can be seen from the response to filling in the questionnaire after the introduction of the application, where more than 95% of respondents find it easier to understand the material with the android application. Keywords: education; software; technology.

<p><em>The study aims to examine the feasibility of a learning device using a metacognitive strategy for use in physics learning for XI-grade high school students. The development of the device is based on the study of the physics learning competencies referring to the 2013 curriculum based on the study of physical learning competencies that refer to the 2013 curriculum. The learning devices that are organized include learning plans and physics study results tests. The method used is Research and Development (R &amp; D) refers to the step developed by the simplified Borg &amp; Gall. The test instrument of learning results consists of 31 questions of multiple choice and has been validated by evaluation experts, physicists, physics education, expert and practitioners. The validation test was tested in 176 high school students in Pontianak City. Expert analysis using the validity of the content of Aiken's V provides a 0.77 validity index. The reliability test using SPSS 17.0 provides a reliability index of 0.71. Analysis of the device's effectiveness of metacognitive learning plans developed to improve student learning outcomes through learning trials in class XI students. The results showed that there were significant differences in the learning outcomes of students using the Learning Strategy tool that using the learning devices used in the school is obtained T<sub>hitung</sub> = 2.055 (α = 0.044; df = 59). As such, learning devices are developed worthy of use in physics learning in the XI class.</em></p>

This research is aimed to develop high school physics teaching materials that can provide independent learning to high school students in Physics learning, in accordance with the demands of the curriculum. The research applied research development methods. It is implemented in FKIP Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof.DR.HAMKA and the trial and implementation are done in a number of high schools in Jakarta in 2017. The development of physics learning module with contextual approach was implemented in several stages, the first is analysis, the second is feasibility test, and the last is field trial. The instruments consisted of needs analysis questionnaire, validation sheet of feasibility test, and validation sheet of the test results. The module developed was validated by senior physics teachers in several high schools in Jakarta. The validation shows interpretation score of 73% - 93%. Physics learning module with contextual approach on wave material already has correct components, and it is feasible to be used as a companion module.

This article talks about an activity called Tourism Goes to School, a training of tourism consciousness and seven enchantments designed for High School Students. It is held in Students Hall of SMUN 1 Tanjung Pandan, Belitung. The purpose of this activity is to raise tourism consciousness and to socialize seven enchantments to the high school students in order to prepare them  in dealing and interacting with the tourists. Along with the number of tourist visits that keeps increasing since few years ago, precisely since the boom of the movie titled Laskar Pelangi, the government of Belitung has developed its tourism sector, including by opening some new tourism objects and renovating existed attractions to fulfill the expectation of tourists. The method used in this community service is socialization, tutorial, discussion, and evaluation. The participant involved in the training was 100 students from grades 10 and 11 who came from several high schools around Tanjung Pandan, Belitung. The result of this training is that the participants understand what tourism consciousness and seven enchantment are, as well as how important the concepts in tourism and how to apply both into everyday life.   Keyword: Human Resource in Tourism, Tourism Consciousness and Seven Enchantments, Tourism Goes to School, Belitung

Abstract Background The outbreak of Coronavirus Disease 2019(COVID-19) caused psychological stress in Chinese adults population. But we are unaware of whether the pandemic causes psychological stress on children. Methods We used the Children’s Impact of Event Scale questionnaire (CRIES-13) to investigate the degree of Post-traumatic Stress (PTSD) symptoms caused by the pandemic in students selected from schools in Sichuan, Jiangsu, Henan, Yunnan, and Chongqing provinces of China. Results A total of 7769 students(3692 male and 4077 female), aged 8–18 years, were enrolled in the study, comprising 1214 in primary schools, 2799 in junior high schools and 3756 in senior high schools. A total of 1639 students (21.1%) had severe psychological stress reactions. A large proportion of senior high school students (23.3%) experienced severe psychological stress, and they had the highest median total CRIES-13 score. Female students were more likely to experience severe psychological stress and had higher median CRIES-13 total scores than males. Conclusion COVID-19 has placed psychological stresses on primary and secondary school students in China. These stresses are more likely to reach severe levels among female students and senior high school students.

AbstractObjectiveTo ascertain the prevalence and correlated factors of providing consultation on sexual orientation and the characteristics of school nurses in high schools in Japan.MethodsParticipants were school nurses working in high schools in Aichi prefecture. Items investigated included background, experiences in providing counselling on sexual orientation, the availability of materials and resources for students, and learning experiences concerning how to handle sexual orientation concerns. We divided the respondents into two groups: one group who have provided counselling on sexual orientation before and one group with no such experience. Chi square tests were utilized to compare the responses between groups.ResultsAmong the respondents, 38.9% (n = 140) had previous experience of providing counselling to students on sexual orientation. The group with experience of providing counselling is more likely to have 10–29 years of experience, to work at a senior high school, to be informed on notifications from the Ministry of Education, to have experience of learning how to provide counselling on sexual orientation, and to be aware of effective resources.ConclusionIn Japan, it is expected that the support needs related to LGBTI will become more obvious in the future and efforts to create an environment in which it is easy for young people to consult with school nurses or other support figures are necessary.

The domain of motion or kinematics is important because it forms the basis of mechanics, an important branch of physics. By studying kinematic phenomena in the laboratory, high school students are likely to develop a better understanding of kinematics concepts as well as elements of the scientific approach to study natural and constructed phenomena. However, students encounter difficulties in understanding these concepts, just as in the acquisition of the skills necessary for the accomplishment of the different stages of an experimental process. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to provide guidance, according to a historical approach, which would inform teachers in the design of teaching sequences on the study of kinematics. <p><strong>OBJECTIVES:</strong> Students attend sedentary life style and less like vigorous physical activity. This study investigated the effects of School-based intervention<strong> </strong>on increasing physical activity for decreasing obesity among high-school obese and overweight boys, based on the components of PRECEDE PROCEED Model, to participate in median - vigorous physical activity among the first Period of high school boys in the city of Urmia, Iran</p><p><strong>METHODS:</strong> This study was an experimental intervention that conducted at 4 high schools that were divided into 2 groups of intervention (40) and the control (40) male students, schools in junior high schools in Urmia.</p><p><strong>RESULTS:</strong> Three and six months after the intervention, significant differences were found between the experimental and control groups of schools, in the amount of students’ participation in vigorous physical activity (p&lt;0.01).</p><p><strong>CONCLUSIONS:</strong> According to the results, the school-based intervention and components of PRECEDE PROCEED Model had a positive impact on the improvement of physical activity and decrease in physical inactivity among the students.</p>

This study aims to produce a feasible, practical, and effective Physics learning materials with guided inquiry models to facilitate high school students science process skills on the static fluids. The learning materials were try outed to the class XI SMA Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Surabaya in the second semester of the academic year 2013/2014 with the replication of three classes which are class XI-IPA 1, XI-IPA 2, and XI-IPA 3. This research is the development research, with four D models. The trial design using one-group pretest-posttest design. The results were obtained: (1) the validity of learning materials were good category; the readability student textbook and worksheets were good category; (2) learning performance was good category; student’s activities were categorized to students centered learning; (3) students gave the positive mastery of learning with high gain scores; all students are quite able to practice skill process throught the performance test. Based on the result and discussion of this research, it can be concluded that the Physics learning materials with guided inquiry models to facilitate science process skills of high school students on the static fluids were feasible, practical, and effective to be used at learning process. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran Fisika yang  layak, praktis, dan efektif dengan model inkuiri terbimbing untuk melatihkan keterampilan proses sains siswa SMA pada materi fluida statis. Perangkat pembelajaran tersebut diujikan terhadap siswa kelas XI SMA Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Surabaya tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 dengan replikasi tiga kelas yaitu kelas XI-IPA 1, kelas XI-IPA 2, dan kelas XI-IPA 3. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan, dengan model 4-D. Rancangan ujicoba perangkat menggunakan one group pretest-posttest design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) validitas perangkat pembelajaran berkategori baik; tingkat keterbacaan buku ajar siswa dan lembar kegiatan siswa berkategori baik; (2) keterlaksanaan RPP berkategori baik; aktivitas siswa menunjukkan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa; (3) respon siswa positif terhadap proses pembelajaran; 93% siswa mencapai ketuntasan hasil belajar dengan skor peningkatan yang tinggi; seluruh siswa sudah cukup mampu untuk berlatih keterampilan proses melalui tes kinerja. Berdasarkan hasil dan diskusi penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran Fisika dengan model inkuiri terbimbing untuk melatihkan keterampilan proses sains siswa SMA pada materi fluida statis layak, praktis, dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran.
