Perancangan Infrastruktur Jaringan Komputer Untuk Mendukung Implementasi Sistem Informasi Pada Universitas Teknologi Sumbawa

The purpose of this writing is to be able to recognize the performance of the design of computer networks of Universitas Teknologi Sumbawa which has been built in simulator OPNET Version 14.5, from which the design of a computer network consists of two designs specifically design of computer networks using Cable Media and Wireless Media (Access Point). The study begins by analyzing the current situation of the computer network and discovers the circumstance of utilization of computer networks had not been optimal as the condition of the computer network infrastructure of Universitas Teknologi Sumbawa rector is only found in the main building itself. The process ofanalysis and design of computer network infrastructure uses the Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC). The comparison outcome of the design with the Cable Media in the Simulator has Page Response Time 82,3% faster than using Wireless Media and delay point of Cable Media is 19,1% lower than Wireless Media. Therefore Cable Media is able to be considered as one of preferences by the Executive Board of Universitas Teknologi Sumbawa to develop Computer Network Infrastructure for integrating entire existing building within the campus area in order to support the implementation of the information system.

Point to Point jaringan nirkabel merupakan solusi untuk menghubungkan dua jaringan yang berada dilokasi yang berbeda dan sulit untuk dilewati kabel jaringan. SMA Universitas Klabat walaupun terletak satu kawasan dengan kampus utama universitas namun lokasi gedung agak jauh dan sulit untuk dilewati kabel. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membangun insfrastruktur jaringan internet lewat point to point, analisis dan desain access point yang akan digunakan serta pembagian bandwidth yang merata ke setiap client. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Network Development Life Cycle dengan tahapan analisis, desain, simulasi, implementasi, monitoring dan manajemen. Base station dan client yang digunakan adalah nano station M5 ubiquiti, access point yang digunakan untuk koneksi jaringan nirkabel disetiap gedung adalah ubiquiti UAP dan pembagian bandwidth diatur menggunakan mikrotik router board. Hasil implementasi dari penelitian ini adalah koneksi internet dapat tersalur dari kampus utama universitas ke SMA serta dapat digunakan oleh siswa dan guru baik diruangan kelas maupun dikantor.Kata kunci—Point to Point, Bandwidth, Jaringan Nirkabel, Ubiquiti

The development of technology today is very fast one only with the existence of the use of the computer network. This can be seen in the increasing number of organizations or companies that use the computer network to facilitate the flow of information within the organization or the company. But with the abundance of the use of network technology is only advancing network progressed only, but not maximize resource so that sometimes allows for the problem or traffic network. For that can be needed by network development solution made VLAN topology using NDLC method (Network Development Life Cycle). Vlans are able to improve the capabilities of the network and can reduce the amount of data that is sent to a destination that does not need to be so that the traffic in the network will be reduced by itself. In addition there is another reason why requires a VLAN is to reduce the possibility of the misuse of access rights. It can use the Mode Access. With the Mode will divide each Host into the VLAN each. With the existence of a VLAN shows can increase network ability as much as 13.4 %. With the data shows that a VLAN successful and able to make the network more efficient. In the VLAN network security aspect is able to optimize network security with the existence of access mode, so that the new host are not capable of entering it into the existing network topology.

Abstract - Computer network has been implemented in some areas one of which is education, especially primary and secondary schools. Computer networks can be used to share resources and Internet connection between computers in a network. But to build a computer network, infrastructure limitations and Human Resources (HR) become a serious problem in primary and secondary schools. So the computer network and the Internet cannot reach all of the school environment. This study proposes the implementation of a Power Line Communication (PLC) as the transmission medium for data communication with the method of Peer to Peer (P2P) architecture. By using the Power Line Adapter, each room in the school environment can be connected to the network via existing electrical wiring. In addition, no special equipment needed for expert and installation because it can be easily thereby saving the cost budget.Computer Networks with Power Line Communication (PLC) can be used to build a Local Area Network (LAN) using a existing electrical wiring. The results showed that computer networks with Power Line Communication (PLC) as the transmission for the communication of data to easily and improve efficiency for schools in accordance with their needs than building a large network infrastructure. Jaringan komputer dapat digunakan untuk berbagi sumber daya dan koneksi Internet antar komputer dalam jaringan. Namun untuk membangun jaringan komputer, keterbatasan infrastuktur dan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) menjadi permasalahan serius di sekolah dasar dan menengah. Sehingga jaringan komputer dan Internet tidak dapat menjangkau seluruh lingkungan sekolah tersebut. Penelitian ini mengusulkan implementasi dari Power Line Communication (PLC) sebagai media transmisi untuk komunikasi data dengan metode Peer to Peer (P2P) arsitektur. Dengan menggunakan perangkat Power Line Adapter, setiap ruangan yang ada di lingkungan sekolah tersebut dapat terhubung dengan jaringan melalui kabel listrik yang ada. Selain itu, tidak diperlukan ahli dan peralatan khusus untuk instalasi karena dapat dilakukan dengan mudah sehingga menghemat biaya anggaran. Jaringan komputer dengan Power Line Communication (PLC) dapat digunakan untuk membangun jaringan komputer lokal (LAN) dengan menggunakan media kabel listrik yang sudah ada. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa jaringan komputer dengan Power Line Communication (PLC) sebagai media transmisi untuk komunikasi data memberikan kemudahan dan meningkatkan efisiensi bagi sekolah sesuai dengan kebutuhannya dibandingkan dengan membangun infrastruktur jaringan yang besar. Computer network development depends on the development of information technology and communication. Several things as the reasons to develop the technology of computer network are implementing communication flexibly which in this case in the theory of computer network is to build wireless network communication. The existence of wireless communication as the comparison against wired network, having different impairment compared to wired communication. One of which is the weakening of wireless signal strength towards the ongoing communication distance. Therefore in wireless communication currently plenty of it being implemented, to handle the occurring impairment due to distance influence, it is needed for signal amplifier device. One of signal amplifier that can be used in the surroundings which is economical and practical is by using used beverage can.

One factor for the achievement of the objectives of the concept of learning in the management of modern education is to utilize information technology that is supported by a reliable computer network architecture. In this research, the method of designing a computer network architecture is based on the 4 stages of the TOGAF-ADM Framework, namely vision architecture, business architecture, information systems architecture (data architecture and application architecture) and technology architecture. Then the system implementation uses the Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC) process which consists of analysis, design, simulation prototyping, implementation, monitoring, management and ending with an evaluation of computer network development. From the trial results, it is obtained that by using load balance technology and microtic device support, sending and receiving data packets is now faster and more stable because the communication lines have been segmented and the data collision in the network is resolved. The new network implementation successfully stabilized upload and download data speeds, overcoming limited connections and 0% packet loss.

Instansi pemerintah adalah organisasi yang merupakan kumpulan orang-orang yang dipilih secara khusus untuk melakukan tugas Negara sebagai bentuk pelayanan kepada orang banyak. Inspektorat Kabupaten Sumbawa merupakan instansi pemerintah yang ada di Kabupaten Sumbawa yang memiliki fungsi pengawasan, penyelenggaraan pemerintah daerah yang dipimpin oleh seorang Inspektur dalam menjalankan fungsi tersebut instansi ini belum menerapkan teknologi jaringan untuk menghubungkan antara satu bagian dengan bagian lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan membangun infrastruktur jaringan komputer, pada Inspektorat Kabupaten Sumbawa. Penelitian ini dalam membangun jaringan menggunakan perangkat jaringan seperti Router Mikrotik, Switch, Access Point dan perangkat pendukung lainnya Metode pengembangan jaringan menggunakan metode Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC). Dimulai dari proses analisis, perancangan, simulasi, implementasi, hingga monitoring. Instrumen teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini adalah membangun infrastruktur jaringan telah terhubung seluruh bagian ruangan inspektorat. Sehingga Inspektorat Kabupaten Sumbawa mampu menerapkan aktifitas digitalisasi dan teknologi jaringan seluruh pagawai yang ada di Inspektorat.

ABSTRAKSaat ini Teknologi Informasi (TI) merupakan salah satu hal yang penting dalam suatu perusahaan. Dalam penerapan TI diperlukan infrastruktur jaringan yang dapat mendukung pertukaran informasi baik melalui intranet mauapun internet yang diakses melalui kabel maupun nirkabel. Salah satu pendukung Infrastruktur jaringan adalah topologi jaringan yang handal.  PDII-LIPI (Pusat Dokumentasi dan Informasi Ilmiah - Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia) Jakarta merupakan lembaga di bawah LIPI yang berfokus pada tiga kegiatan yaitu  jasa  dokumentasi,  jasa  informasi, pembinaan dan pengembangan bidang dokumentasi informasi. Untuk mendukung proses bisnis berbasis TI di PDII-LIPI diperlukan infrastruktur jaringan yang memadai. Oleh karena itu, pada penelitian ini dilakukan perancangan infrastruktur jaringan kabel dan nirkabel di PDII-LIPI dengan menggunakan metode Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC). Metode ini berguna dalam mengembangkan infrastruktur jaringan kabel dan nirkabel dan dapat memantau kinerja jaringan. Dengan penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu PDII-LIPI dalam membangun, dan mengembangkan infrastruktur jaringan kabel dan nirkabel agar lebih optimal dalam mendukung proses bisnis yang ada.Kata Kunci: topologi jaringan, kabel, nirkabel, NDLC, PDII-LIPI. ABSTRACT Information Technology (IT) has significant influence to a company. The robust network IT infrastructure should be installed earlier, supporting the information exchange through internet or intranet and it also should be easily accessible via wired or wireless network.  PDII-LIPI (Pusat Dokumentasi dan Informasi Ilmiah - Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia) Jakarta is an organization under LIPI which focuses on three processes for instance the documentation services, the  information services and the development of  documentation services. PDII-LIPI has already used IT to support those businesses so they must carefully choose the best network IT infrastructure. To achieve this objective, we propose a research which design wired and wireless network infrastructure at PDII – LIPI. We use Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC) as a method for solving problem. This method is very useful in developing wired and wireless network infrastructure and it can monitor network performance. We expect the research can help PDII - LIPI in building and developing the infrastructure of wired and wireless networks to be more optimized in supporting existing business processes.Keywords: network topology, wired, wireless, NDLC, PDII-LIPI.

The design of a computer network is an essential and important instrument in institutions or universities, one of which is at the Riau Province Sports High School. To support maximum human resource performance, the Riau Province Sports High School applies the use of computer networks to manage administration and teaching and learning processes, so that the use of computer networks is urgently needed. Then it is necessary to have a better and more efficient network system to regulate information sharing, so as to facilitate access to information between employees in Riau Province Sports High School. This research uses simulation and implementation methods. Data collection is done by library research, observation and interviews. Before the implementation of computer network design that was built in the Riau Province Sports High School Building will be simulated with Cisco packet tracer in accordance with the data already obtained (needs analysis). The results of this study are network design used for the Riau Province Sports High School building. The network created can facilitate the performance of employees and instructors of Riau Province Sports High School. The design is done as well as possible so that the School does not have difficulties when doing network development.

In realizing an integrated service both internally and externally, SMK Negeri 2 Kuripan need a  reliable computer network infrastructure and can connect all units in a single integrated network. Current state of computer networks in SMK Negeri 2 Kuripan is still a large computer networks and complex. With the computer network conditions like this, it causes traffic in computer networks become dense eventually cause some problems such as access to an application to be slow. Under these conditions, then the computer network in SMK Negeri 2 Kuripan requires a segmentation of the network / subnetwork according to the needs of the organization. Computer networks in SMK Negeri 2 Kuripan is still using a single network ID, so as to make the segmentation of networks of smaller needed a way to break the single Network ID into a Network ID. Subnetting is a way to break up the Network ID is by using hostid bits to form part subnetID. Subnetting process is done on a single Network ID is produced 11 subnet that has been established based on the needs of organizations SMK Negeri 2 Kuripan. Utilization of Virtual LAN topologies for the physical design and subnetting for logic design is able to provide optimization of the performance of computer networks. Optimization is achieved due to the use of VLAN network can reduce the collision data (collision) by blocking packets / frames that do not need to be outstanding in the network. In addition, VLANs can also be split in / out broadcast domain, so that data packets sent from a host will only be forwarded to the destination host and other hosts will not accept packets / frames.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menganalisa perbandingan antara freeradius dan usermanager pada Universitas Teknologi Sumbawa, dengan parameter pengukuran, waktu akses login page dan jumlah resource yang digunakan dengan sample 20 client perangkat pendukung jaringan seperti routerboard, switch, access point dan komputer server. (2) dapat memberikan masukan solusi alternatif hotspot mikrotik dalam menangani jumlah user yang banyak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengembangan jaringan Network Development Life Cycle dan dibangun dengan menggunakan perangkat router board mikrotik dan 20 client pengujian. Metode pengumpulan data mengggunakan observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian yaitu dapat mengetahui performa dari freeradius dan usermanager pada mikrotik dan memberikan solusi alternative pada mikrotik dalam menagani jumlah user aktif yang terus bertambah setiap harinya.
